When Marguerite discovers Callum waiting to die, her heart aches for the warrior beneath the suffering--but they can have no future. Yet she is the one woman with the power to tame the rage locked inside him. Maybe he can find another reason to live...for her.

My Thoughts

Wow is all I have to say ! What and amazing read this story was. I have to say that it was a delight as I have not read a story about Highland Warriors in sometime and those a my kind of stories.I can't really say enough good things this about this story. It had me laughing and crying throughout the book so many times that a some point I went for the tissue box because the tears continually fell.

Callum being held a Prisoner for so many years and finding a bright light in is tortured past with Marguerite made me hope for a future for the wounded sole. From the beginning you new this couple were destined to be together but knowing it was going to be a twist of fate to make it happen.

This book is a love story where two people so opposite in there stations of life don't have a thing in common with one another. When Callum thought he had lost his love he set out to win her heart and her love by any means he can. The couple couple take you on a treacherous path of intrigue and danger and also vengeance but also healing and friendship and and finding one's sole mate.

Loved most all the character in this story and we saw characters from others it its series. I am a series loving girl so this series that Michelle has penned is a great treat for me. Loved it and oh what a surprise ending that I never saw coming a true delight. If Michelle continues to write stories like this she will have and even bigger fan than she already has. This is a recommended read to all and its series.

About Book

In Highlander Most Wanted, a reclusive woman content to live in the shadows shows a Highland warrior the true meaning of love.

Genevieve McInnes is locked behind the fortified walls of McHugh Keep, captive of a cruel laird who takes great pleasure in ruining her for any other man. Yet when Bowen Montgomery storms the gates on a mission of clan warfare, Genevieve finds that her spirit is bent but not broken. Still, her path toward freedom remains uncertain. Unable to bear the shame of returning to a family that believes her dead or to abandon others at the keep to an imposing new laird, Genevieve opts for the peaceful life of an abbess. But Bowen’s rugged sensuality stirs something deep inside her that longs to be awakened by his patient, gentle caress—something warm, wicked, and tempting.

Bowen seizes his enemy’s keep, unprepared for the brooding and reclusive woman who captures his heart. He’s enchanted by her fierce determination, her unusual beauty, and her quiet, unfailing strength. But wooing her will take more than a seasoned seducer’s skill. For loving Genevieve, he discovers, means giving her back the freedom that was stolen from her—even if it means losing her forever.

My Thoughts

I have been reading this series for some time and I am totally enjoying it ! I have so say that this story has touched my heart made me cry so many times throughout this story. This is one of the best books that I have read this year.It was such an emotional read. The characters were riveting  .

Bowen Montgomery storms the gates of McHugh gates to right a wrong done to his sister in-law.Upon the siege he encountersGenevieve and so the story begins.I have to say that after reading this story Bowen is my favorite Montgomery brother. The Montgomery men were a breed of there own.During times of unrest it is so out of character for the men to have feelings so I found Bowen to be sweet and refreshing.

The Montgomery men were raised to protect there women and to aid those who weaker and cannot fend for themselves.Genevieve McInnes is a victim of the McHugh's as well has the Montgomery's sister my marriage.Genevieve was made a prisoner and has endure such a life that most would have not been able to survive but, with the Montgomery and the Armstrong's arrival she sees perhaps freedom coming her way if she can just convince them to let her go to the nearest abbey.

I have to say that I had many favorite characters in this story strong and caring men from both the Montgomery and Armstrong clan men.I loved them all.I however, fell totally in love with Bowen the first moment he showed any kindness to Genevieve and decided to become  her champion ! I was toast right then and there !.

The more I read medieval romances the more I am glad I was never born during that time. Most men of that time period were just so barbaric so this read was a treat to find men who respected women and saw them as just more than a vessel.I saw there women fight beside there men. (grin)As most stories goes when one is a love story the path is never and easy one....

Reading this story about Genevieve and Bowen I thought I was going to go through a box of tissues.I love a story were a warrior becomes a champion for one in need.Genevieve surprised me the most throughout this story and how she coped with her surroundings and with the total hatred of the entire McHugh clan of women who beat her down with words and actions at every turn yet she champions the clan who has all but turn there back on her the one wronged her !Genevieve proved to be a little warrior herself one who you could look up to as a role model. She had a such a loving  and caring person her story was so heart wrenching making my heart break at every word I read.I was rooting for a happily ever after for her from page one.

Bowen amazed me at every turn with his actions and caring. He went on a mission to kill and man and take over his clan in righting a wrong that was done to his Laird and brother. He never expected a playboy like himself to fall for a women like Genevieve. But, his loyalty will be tested and life changing decisions made he might gain all or lose all in one swoop!Bowen was sent on this mission but, I think fate intervened as he was the only one who would be able to mend the broken Genevieve along with giving him the one true love of his life one that would not be easy to seduce and conquer so easily but one worth fighting for!

There was so much going on in the pages of this story to keep you glued.Twists and turns and danger lurking at every turn for this couple .They will need the alliance of both the clan of Montgomery and Armstrong to face the dangers ahead of them if they are going to survive as someone wants them dead! This read was a touching story and one of great sacrifice making it truly amazing story.

I recommended read to all.Be sure to put this series into your to read pile along with this current installment. This book goes into my favorite reads pile and will be read more than once before this year is out....

Always loving reading about those hunky highlanders and a Christmas story is always a rare treat.

This was a very cute fun and fast read and loved it !What is it with those Highlanders always waiting to the last minute to declare there love to the one they want to take to wife and have there bairns.

Finn and Leslie need a Christmas miracle. The dashing Bard Finn is to late in declaring his love for Leslie as she is now promised to another. It order to return her family to England she must marry the Earl to restore there good name as they have been branded as traitors.

This novella was a fun filled adventure and several times had you smiling at Finns smooth talking ways especially with the ladies..Finns dashing good looks and smooth tongue has the ladies swooning can only be allies to him in his siege to come.

Leslie and Finn truly love one another and you can only keeping your fingers crossed that things will work out. Would she be able to live with her decision and without Finn ? And he without her ?A touching story where once must let go of the past to start anew and what better time to do so then at the Christmas Holidays which bring love laugher and miracles...

His Captive (MacGruders #1) by Diana Cosby

His Captive (MacGruders, #1)His Captive by Diana Cosby

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

With a wastrel brother and a treacherous former fiancé, Lady Nichola Westcott hardly expects the dangerously seductive Scot who kidnaps her to be a man of his word. Though Sir Alexander MacGruder promises not to hurt her, Nichola's only value is as a pawn to be ransomed.

Alexander's goal is to avenge his father's murder, not to become entangled with the enemy. But his desire to keep Nichola with him, in his home—in his bed—unwittingly make her a target for those who have no qualms about shedding English blood.

Now Nichola is trapped—by her powerful attraction to a man whose touch shakes her to the core. Unwilling and unable to resist each other, can Nichola and Alexander save a love that has enslaved them both?

My thoughts & Review

This was a cute fast read but not much substance would have like to see more of a plot. Its about a kidnapping of a Lords sister who they plan to ransom. The characters of this story are drawn to each other right from the beginning.Although both parties try to fight this attraction to each other as they are suppose to be enemies.I found myself laughing a lot throughout the book Nichola antics while being held prisoner we hilarious.I found the tender hear Ted Alexander to be endearing his love and attraction for Nicola was a surprise to see for a harden Highland warrior.Found Alexander to be a noble warrior in his decision on choosing between his family and Nicola turned out to be the right one even if it was a hard choice and tore his heart out in doing so.Look forward to catching up on the other books in the series.I new author added to a list of growing new comers for me.

5 stars read

The most anticipated story in the blockbuster Dark-Hunter series. The never-before-revealed story of the Dark-Hunter leader, Acheron. He was made human in order to escape death, but in death he was reborn a god. . .

Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind.

Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he’ll do anything to keep concealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence.

Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both.

War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

My Thoughts....

Definitely one of my favorite books in this series. What a sad tale. The pain of Acheron life was almost unbearable to read. Though painful it shaped the man he had become.Although is seems impossible for him to survive it all he found true love after all and has found a loving partner to brave his unknown future with his wife and loving friends. This was an very anticipated story for me always wondering of Ash's tale but
never expected this and was not disappointed. Ms. Kenyon is a fabulous story writer and i loved each and everyone of her dark hunter tales.
