The characters were fantastic, as there were many you loved and others you despised. 1200 years later, Simi still loathes the heifer goddess, and everytime she calls her that we laugh out loud.

In conclusion, this novel is a triumph both as a fantasy epic and as a character study. It offers something for lovers of dark supernatural tales with a heart—combining humor, mythology, love, and fierce loyalty into a beautifully unforgettable package.
