My innocence was shattered one steamy October night, when I sold my soul to the devil to pay for a week in a dirty motel room.
Thinking I could rid myself of him, I fled the safety of the nomad lifestyle I had embraced my entire life for the security of a small upstate New York town, alongside my big sister Star.

What I never anticipated was a green eyed stranger that would steal my heart and never look back. And a dark eyed man on a motorcycle, who would teach me how to trust again. Both of them completely shattering every wall I ever put up to keep men out of my vulnerable world.

I am Paisley Bloom, and this is my devastating story

Our Review

I have been so excited to read this book because I fell head over heels in love with the Hers series so I couldn’t wait to see what was next in the lives of Seven, Levi, Star, Chrome and now Paisley and River. And of course when you start off like this I know what to expect from Dawn – a story that is going to move me for sure.

“When I open my eyes, I meet the most piercing set of green eyes I’d ever seen. His jaw was square. His hair was long and brown, pulled back into a lose ponytail at his nape. Theres a long scar that runs under his eye, and when our eyes meet, he flashes me the most beautiful smile. I forget that I’m on stage in front of hundreds of perverts and focus on him alone.

He was the man that would make my every nightmare come to life. I just didn’t know it yet.

And after reading just the first few chapters I knew this book was going to be an emotional roller coaster for sure. What Paisley goes through in the beginning is so heart breaking it tore at my heart, I was crying right along with her. What Paisley goes through, what she loses, the pain she deals with after just tears at you. I want to reach through the pages, pull her into my arms, kiss her forehead, and make all the bad go away. I think what if that were my daughter – oh no maybe that isn’t a good idea because “ZANE YOU’D BE DEAD ALREADY” lol – okay okay momma bear calm down – breath, deep breath!!!

Paisley already came from a very rough upbringing, her life was no bed of roses, if you have read the first few books in this series you know what her parents were like, what her nasty brother was like, what happened to her family. The one thing she had held onto, the one thing she prized and cherished is stripped away from her in one hellish night.

As always Dawn delivers amazing characters, she brings you back to the original characters like Seven, Levi, Star, Chrome and River and introduces some new ones Paisley, Zane, Diesel and Ryker. Her introduction of the characters, her description of them it is like you are seeing them appear right before your very eyes. Oh that Diesel, hmmmm what a dish he is, okay I wasn’t expecting his um proclivity lol (read to see) but the fact he was willing to give that all up for Paisley…WOW!!!! And the fact he was willing to give it up and not gain from it even more WOW!!!

“Paisley, I can’t tell you what to do. But, what I am going to do is let you go. If you’re meant to be mine, you’ll come back to me.” His boots hit the floor and he stands making his way for the door.

I feel like my heart was just ripped out and trampled on. But, maybe this is best? Maybe this is what’s supposed to happen? Maybe this needs to happen so we all can move on with our lives?

Without a word he turns around, and his deep caramel eyes meet mine.

“Thank you,” I take a few steps, and wrap my arms around his neck, place a simple kiss on his cheek and let go. It’s what we all need.

Just when you thought bikers were all good for nothing, you have Chrome showing you differently in “Finding Willow” and then turn around and have “Diesel” reinforce that. Okay so some are bad – ah hem Zane… lol

Will Paisley every be able to get past what happened to her that fateful night, will she finally decide either River or Diesel or will they decide for her. Will she finally find happiness and the life she has always wanted and dreamed of? Well Dawn does one smashing job sharing Paisley’s story with you.

Oh I just want to say “HOLY HELL SEVEN!!!!” Dawn – FYI – I did not see that coming and that entire scene, down in the basement, the raw emotion during that entire scene – unbelievable –even to the end of the book that scene stayed with me. Of course Diesel and Paisley’s moment in the truck I loved that moment but that basement scene – EXCELLENT!!!!

This Girl Stripped was a UNABLETOPUTDOWN read – I swear I lost an entire days worth of time reading this book – but what can I say – it is that good – it was that worth it. Each story in this series is so amazing, each one with such deep, moving, touching stories. Each one written with passion that flows off the pages. And each one ends leaving you begging for more, begging for it not to end, I just can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Amazing job Dawn!!

Our Review

Wow ! Just loved it the story had a great plot with really great characters. This story was a page turner from beginning to end so much always going on to keep you fixated to turning the pages. This is a new author to me and I really enjoyed her tale.I am alway happy that  when I find a new author to read that there first book I read is a big hit with me.

I love reading about shifters especially werewolves as they are always hunky overprotective and fierce. And they mate for life making them even more attractive.

This story was about a couple who really loved each other and were destined to be mates until a jealous and vengeful and hate filled man separated them.Leaving both the couple heartbroken and unfilled.

The two main characters were really like-able and easy to relate to.I always have one character that seems to be a favorite of mine in each and every story and mine would have to be Fletcher he was a bit of a tortured sole.Fletcher was forced from his pack and from the women he loved.I found Fletcher to be quite love-able.He was fierce protective and also had many in securities that he was trying to over come.My heart went out to him a boy who grew into a man who never felt that he was loved or even worth loving. So sad you felt his pain and the sadness that surrounded him.You  saw how much he loved his destined mate Delaney and that he constantly ached for and missed her as he never stopped loving her even after he was forced to leave his pack.Fletcher is forced to confront all is insecurities  when a rival packs leader now wants what he considers his.

Fletcher is made some tough life choices and he will need all the strength courage and the love he possesses to win back the women he loves and abandoned so many years ago.Now forced to confront his past and protect his mate from harm he must become the man he always wanted to be or all will be lost.

Delaney had a feisty personality she was fierce loyal protective of the people she loved as well as smart and sexy.Delaney has loved Fletcher will all  her heart and losing him she has always ever known pain and suffering. I really felt Delaney's torn feelings for Fletcher she still loves him but also hates him. The separation for Delaney was even worse because she thought that her mate must be dead as he has been missing for years and has not returned to her .

One of my favorite scenes of the book is what Fletcher does to Delaney to get her to calm down enough to talk to him.I never expected the fierceness that comes from her.In some ways she seemed timid and naive but, turned out to be fierce as any lion.

I was rooting for this couple from the very beginning wanting a happily ever after.I loved there sad tale that lead them to be estranged and then re-united.May love conquer all ! Let both of them be strong enough to fight for there love and destroy there enemies even if that means removing those who have always held your heart.

Another great read with a fast paced plot filled with danger and deceit. The plot was so engaging it kept me turning the pages into the we hours of the morning just to finish.Just got to love books like that.

A Recommended read to all of those who love reading about shape-shifter werewolves and star crossed lovers.Looking forward to seeing  the stories to come from the imagination of this author.

Going inside my house when it’s just my mom here is always nerve wracking. Shane’s abrupt departure gave me a chance to get my thoughts together. He threw me off by keeping me in that hug. And surprisingly, I liked it more than I thought I would. I have to get the look of joy off my face in case my mom isn’t passed out when I get inside. It’s about dinner time in most houses, but I doubt she’ll be cooking. Drinking maybe, but not cooking.
After a deep breath, I push my way inside and as expected it’s still and quiet. Her car was in the driveway, so at least I can breathe easy for now knowing she’s not driving around drunk, risking killing herself or worse, someone else. Not that killing herself is a good thing. I’d be upset if she died, but not surprised.
As I walk into the kitchen, I notice that my note is still there from this morning. That makes me a little nervous. Is she okay in her bedroom? I rush back to her room in almost a full run. Pausing at the door to take a quick breath and let it out, I push open the door and don’t see her. Then I hear her in the bathroom. She is singing in the shower, and not well. But she’s alive. I close the door and head back to the kitchen. From the loudness of her singing, I’m guessing she’s been drinking all day and eaten nothing. I guess I’ll be the one cooking. If you can call hot dogs and macaroni and cheese cooking.
By the time I have both plates ready, she comes out and acts like this is normal. I make dinner and she sits and eats with me. I place our plates on the table and sit down across from her. Not sure what to say to her, I just dig in. I am pretty hungry after all the walking Shane and I did today.
“So, how was your day?” she asks, as if we always talk about our day over dinner.
“Um,” unsure what to say, “It was good. Yours?” I ask, hoping that she doesn’t burst into tears like she usually does when she talks to me. It gets old. She’s the adult and yet, she is always talking about how life isn’t fair. What does she know about life being unfair?
She breaks me from my thoughts when she answers me. “It was fine.” And that is it. Our conversation is over and we are both back to eating. When she’s done, she just gets up and goes back to her room, leaving her plate on the table for me to take care of. Guess there isn’t a mothering gene anywhere in her body. I shouldn’t be upset by it; this is what always happens, but it hurts. Can’t she ever act like a mother to me?
I clean the kitchen and head back to my room to shower and get ready for bed. Looking forward to hanging out with Shane is the only thing keeping my tears away tonight. I gather all my chemistry stuff and put it in my backpack before climbing into bed.
All the outdoor time and walking has tired me out more than I thought. Today was the perfect day, despite being a mess when Shane found me. I’d just about forgotten how upset I was. Add the crying to all my activity today, and it’s no wonder sleep finds me easily tonight. My brain shuts off and I am out in a matter of minutes.

Deston Lespérance grew up believing faeries and monsters are just stories told to children at bedtime. Our Review

This was an enjoyable read.I know there are mixed reviews about this story but, I really enjoyed it.Love reading stories about the Lost Atlantis.

Love reading about shifters and the paranormal so this story was right up my alley and a love reading Susan's books. This story was different then other shifter stories in that the the characters involved shape themselves into sea creatures. But for new shifters there are dangers that can lead to death.

This story had like-able characters that I found to be fun , sincere, others focused and others who are used to being in charge and headstrong and opinionated.

Loved Ari 's character boy did I feel sorry for him.His chosen mate is not going to except him easily. He definitely had his work cut out for him. How do you convince a women who is a billionaire running her own company to give up her life to be your mate and live on and non existent lost island?I enjoyed being along with Ari on his mission to convince her.Not and easy task I might add.He bared his sole to her to show her all that he could offer to her.You feel sorry for him and a bit sad if he fails his task he will end up missing part of his own soul as there is only one mate for you in ones lifetime.

Loved Samantha's character she was feisty and fierce but also found her to be open-minded at the same time.I really thought she would be a bit different than she was.I mean who would believe that tales about to be spoken to her. What level headed women who was kidnapped would believe Ari's fantastic tale?Samantha is used to swimming with the sharks in her business world but the ocean ?

This was not and easy romance where you claim your mate.Your chosen mate faces all the dangers in claiming there bond. Both parties need to be sure of there feelings  of there trust in one another to have an desirable outcome  for both.

A fascinating tale. The description of the Island had you feeling that you were right there with them experiencing its beauty. This was a short read 71 pages. My only complaint with the story being so short that there romance was a bit rushed. There were a lot of factors against this relationship from the very beginning for this couple especially with Samantha never knowing who she was and what she really is.And then convince them to give up the kind of life that you have only ever known.Would loved to have  them as a couple to have had more time to fall in love.

I always look forward to Susan creating new exciting stories for me to read.
