Our Review

First let me start off by saying this is a fast read, so sit down take two hours and enjoy this amazing firefighter story.

Knox Townsend is a firefighter battling demons from the loss of his adorable niece. Lexi Wentworth is new in town and has a past of her own. A kitten, a tree, fate brings them together early one morning. The chemistry between Knox and Lexi sparks off the pages. These characters are fabulous. sexy, hot, well built, tatted firefighter. Blonde, beautiful, slender teacher. Adele does a great job bringing you into their lives, their stories.

I was hooked from the start. There was *hand over mouth "O" my gawd I would be so embarrassed, to grabbing tissues to laughing out loud in this book. If your looking for sex scenes and erotica you aren't going to find that anywhere in this book. But the author has done such a phenomenal job building the chemistry between Knox and Lexi you don't need it. The story is excellent without it.

You will need your own fire hydrant to put out the flames that Knox and Lexi create in this story.

Book Review for Born to be Bad (B.A.D. Agency 0.5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Born to be Bad (B.A.D. Agency 0.5)

About Book

New York Times bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon has created a sensation with her sexy stories about the Bureau of American Defense. Now, three novellas about BAD agents are collected in one steamy volume! In the all-new "One BAD Night" the bureau believes that agent Jason Banks has sold them out. Agent Samantha Winslow has never particularly cared for Jason, whom she reluctantly finds attractive, and she volunteers to bring him in. Under orders to infiltrate his rogue mission and kidnap him, she is also trying to pull off the ultimate double-cross. But who would have guessed that Jason would be so pleased to be her captive?

In "BAD to the Bone" Marianne wins the Hideaway Heroine Sweepstakes and a chance to pretend to be the heroine in her favorite romance novel. Whisked away to a remote island, Marianne's daydreams become real when BAD agent Kyle Foster kidnaps her and uncovers her every fantasy.

In "'Captivated' by You" BAD agent Rhea must go undercover as a dominatrix to capture a deadly terrorist. Fortunately, Agent "Ace" Krux, whom she has long desired, is her training partner. Immediately, the roles of master and slave are wonderfully blurred, and Rhea and Ace unleash a wealth of hidden desire.

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed this story found it to be quite funny. I laughed quite a lot at the beginning of the story. The characters were engaging and really like-able .Agent Samantha Winslow antics made this story worth reading she had quick whit and a smart mouth making her engagements with Agent Jason Banks hilarious.

Jason Banks is being pursued by Samantha and the Agency thinking him the traitor. There is more that meets the eye in this story and a conspiracy that will need to be uncovered. Jason a handsome playboy needs to convince Samantha he is innocent but, how to do that when he is tied up and naked ? (LOL) The entire scene of Jason's being tied up and his exchange of words with Samantha is quite engaging and super funny not to be missed.

The two main characters of this story are opposites that attract. They two have been sexually attracted to one another for years and now that have the opportunity to do something about it.Making up for lost time as they say. While a romance develops danger lurks at every turn and they wonder if the will live long enough even to find out what could be.

In  Marianne and Kyle Fosters story it was a really entertaining read. Marianne is a romance writer gone on a Holiday to be part of and adventure that she only writes about.Kyle Foster is on this Island also where he is recovering for an injury which he contracted in the line of duty.Kyles agency rents out part of there island to put on these live adventures for contestants that win.

Kyle is really a loner with his job in all he never finds time for romance until he meets Marianne and decides to make her part of his own adventure taking the acting a step further and only with him.Who doesn't like a dangerous bad boy huh?

What a scorching adventure between the two lovers. The story had a great plot that allowed two people to really get to know one another and slowly and find the love they where only dreaming about. There was tons of romance and intrigue with a twist that the story took keeping you interested and turning the pages. This was a light fun read.Enjoyed this story a lot.

The story between  Rhea and Krux was really entertaining. The two are on assignment to go uncover and into the world of Erotica where clients have peculiar tastes. Its Rhea's job to make Krux an submissive and the thought of that alone sent me into the fit of giggles.Krux is a bad -ass to begin with and is surrounded with a dangerous aura all the time and the thought of  becoming someones submissive is just to funny.Rhea another agent in the Agency being the Dom. to teach him just that. What a uncomfortable situation but, Krux is going to used this situation to his advantage and get Rhea right where he wants her in his bed !

You got to love this story .The awkwardness between these two colleagues is somewhat funny when you think that they have to go to school to learn there roles they now have to play. You are sensing there attraction between the two and they are now both in the position to act on it but, will they?

This was a fun read making you smile quite often and the teasing that goes on between this couple. They are doing there duty but, you got to love the fact that they have a free pass to act out there fantasies they might have had about one another. And it gives Rhea the upper hand to get a little even with a Krux the womanizer or so she thinks making her actions and antics even more funny.

Overall this stories were really great reads quite entertaining really funny and had intriguing stories lots of adventure and danger to keep you turning the pages just to see what happens next. The characters were a lot of fun hope to see them again in the up an coming stories in the Bad Series...

Book Review for Confessions of a Vampire's Girlfriend (Ben and Fran #1-2) by Katie MacAlister AKA Katie Maxwell

Confessions of a Vampire's Girlfriend
Ben and Fran # 1-2
3 Stars
Published by : New American Library

About Book

Two Katie MacAlister vampire
novels—Got Fangs? and Circus of
the Darned—now back in print and
together for the first time!

Meet Francesca. She’s in Europe, working in a
traveling faire along with psychics, magicians, and
other really bizarre people. Her life? Not-so-normal.
Her boyfriend, Ben? Not-so-alive. And in these two
novels, it’s up to Francesca to redeem his soul, find
something to wear on their very first date, deal with
her emerging psychic talent, and shake the warring
Viking ghosts she accidentally conjured.

My Thoughts and Review

This was just an okay read for me. Not a lot of substance. There is basically two stories in one. The both stories revolve around Ben and Fran.Frans has been living with her mother this summer traveling with a faire. Her moms a witch and Fran also has her own special powers of her own she can read people by touching them like your very own truth detector. She meets Ben who is a Dark One a 300 year old plus vampire who says that after searching many years he has found his beloved and soul-mate in Fran. She thinks he is nuts. While Ben per-sues ,Fran is investigating the theft of someone stealing from the faire's till and her mom wants to enlist Fran to uncover the culprit.Frans hates that she special and does not want to use her powers she wants to be normal and doesn't want anyone thinking she is a freak .Fran has a real problem being different and throws it up in everyones face at every turn she can get how she hates it wanting to me normal it becomes annoying ! She is the only one who can solve this crime as the person responsible for the theft is a non-human. Ben and her learn to get to know one another which Fran is not making it easy for him, He has a Demon trying to kill him and secrets of is own making life tough at the moment.

There is a little bit of mystery . I liked the backdrop of the story which was something different for a change .I just felt this story lacked excitement.

The other story however was cute. Ben is back and he and Fran are trying the boyfriend girl friend thing. At one of Frans mothers witch circle meeting Fran accidentally summons a bunch of Ghosts that are Viking thinking she is a Goddess and they are there to do her bidding. This story gave been some laughs as the Vikings are giving Fran advice on Love and Dating which was hilarious. The scene where they were shopping with her was a Hoot. A my favorite there trips to M Donald's for big macs. And the scene where they sacrificed there big mac's to the Loki god had me chuckling. This story had more going on and Ben and Fran team up to find away to return the ghost to where they belong and the continue on finding out who is trying to kill been and why ?

Would recommend this as a library read or a paperback swap book.Even though I had some mixed feeling about the one story the other story did make up for that.

My Thoughts.......

Love this little Holiday Tale with our favorite characters Entwined ! How Teddy Brunswick found a life-mate in Katricia Argeneau . Teddy who was a police-chief of Port Henry who's known all along about the family and kept there secrets while letting life pass him bye and getting a second chance of life to fall in love and find his life-mate and have children after all.Its was so cute how Teddy who was still human and at 64 years of age falling for a 25 year old Katricia and fighting it. So funny to see gave you plenty of laughs at his procrastination .>Then the second story with Bones and Cat they never are able to have a normal Holiday!Everyone invited for there Christmas Holiday is under some sort of spell and its up to Denise and Cat and Ian to unravel it all.Cat always gives me tons of laughs and keep life interesting.Ian and Cat's banter always fresh and exiting and funny as always.
