This was one hot read enemies to lovers, Brogan and Viola's story was packed with a rollercoaster ride of emotion and also packed with a ton of heat.
Love and hate and a battle of wills! Viola character ended up being more complicated and messy than even Brogan dare to believe and after spending time with the Goddess and getting to know her he needs to figure things out where she is concerned but, one thing still remains the same she is his mate in his heart of hearts.
Volia plays her villain part to a T, the wicked Goddess of death and the afterlife but, she is more than what you see on the surface and Fluffy is the perfect example of that of the more she is capable of.
Brogan we just loved his brute and brawn, and he was one heck of a soldier, going to any lengths to defend his family or even avenge it. Loved how protective he was of Viola even when he hated her or seemed to hate her, but, Brogan's feelings are more complex when it comes to Viola.
Overall it was a fun read, the constant bantering between the characters the sexual innuendo's and the constant sexual teasing and their chemistry burned brighter than the flames of hell. I have to say, we loved Viola's quirky sense of humor, she made us laugh out loud time and time again. These characters made it easy to fall in love with them, and we loved it!
