Some people scrapbook.

What started as me venting my dating disasters online (creative outlet, don’t judge) has turned into a blog with actual followers—and the only thing keeping me in my dirt-cheap apartment. My grandmother-slash-landlord insists I “prove my creativity” to stay, so the blog lives on.

Except now my readers want a happy ending. With an ex.

Problem? None of my exes qualify.

So…I invent one. The perfect guy. The one that got away.

Rule #1: Never roast your exes online if they know how to read.

Rule #2: Definitely don’t make up a fake ex-boyfriend just to keep your rent low.

Rule #3: do not—under any circumstances—let your best friend discover the lie.

Because now he’s volunteered to become my fake perfect ex. And the more we fake it, the more I can’t tell if my readers are the only ones falling for the story.

Turns out, the biggest plot twist of all?

I might have been in love with him the whole time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this charming and humorous story. The characters and situations throughout the narrative elicited genuine belly laughs. The engaging plot and lovable characters made it a fun read, though at times you wanted to shake them and say, "Wake up and see what's right in front of you!"

Vex's arrival set off a chain of events that added an exciting twist to the story. Grandma Blue was a delightful character and Ezra's brother and sister -in -law added depth to the plot.

The witty banter and teasing between Ezra and others, especially when discussing his programs and speed sheets, were the highlights of the story. These moments were downright hilarious and kept me entertained throughout.

Publisher Description
Put a finger down if you’ve ever been a single woman who got stuck in a New York City elevator in the middle of a summer blackout with your former high school sweetheart—whom you haven’t seen in years—while pregnant with a baby that isn’t biologically yours. And you can’t believe how handsome that blast from your past is, so you unwittingly flirt with him a little even though your life is so crazy complicated you’re barely keeping your head above water, but everything about him makes you think you could totally still be in love with him.

*puts a finger down*

What? Just me?

Needless to say, my current status is thorny. And no, I didn’t miss how close that word is to another one.

Even though he’s the epitome of tall, dark, and incredibly handsome, Remington Winslow has been a single bachelor for most of his life. It’s clichรฉd and basic—until you consider the fact that once upon a terrible time, he got left at the altar.

He doesn’t do relationships. He definitely doesn’t fall in love.

And I’m just trying to survive a tangled web of unexpected motherhood and running one of the top real estate firms in the city that never sleeps.

He’s the jaded guy who doesn’t want to settle down, and I’m the career-focused woman with more baggage than a 747 can hold.

We’re just two friends who used to be in love.

Now, if someone would tell my hormones I’m not a teenager anymore, I’d be set.

We thoroughly enjoyed the rollercoaster journey with Remy and Maria. This heartfelt story evoked a range of emotions, from laughter to tears, leaving us grinning from ear to ear and bursting into laughter repeatedly. We loved it!

The characters are wonderful. Remy's brothers are crazy funny. This story touches the heart of the reader. When Remy and Maria reunite, you start rooting for this couple to rekindle what they had in the past. Remy was a swoony character; he and little Izzy gave us so many heart-melting moments to fawn over. He was a good guy with a loving heart, full of goodness, and we loved the soft spot he had for Cleo. Maria has lost so much yet gained something in return. She is a workaholic, but little Izzy gave her things she did not realize she was missing. We loved the chemistry, the ease, and the playfulness between Remy and Maria. It was easy to see they belonged together. We loved this sexy romp from beginning to end and everything in between. This was a first-time author for us, and we loved our first read by them, and we can't wait to dive into the rest of this series.

Seventy shades of messed up.

That was what she’d been told about herself for nearly her entire life.

From a young age, she knew what it was like to be hated. To be loathed so much by a person that they literally resented the air you breathed.

For her entire childhood, she fought to live, despite her father’s constant effort to make her life a living hell.

Her sisters and brother have no clue what kind of closet psychopath their father really was, and she’ll die before she ruins their picture-perfect view of him.

Why? Because she’s already broken. There’s no fixing this kind of damage. But there’s no reason everyone else needs to suffer, too.

From the moment Hannibal Peters laid eyes on Hades Singh, he knew she was the one.

That was why he ran.

That was why, when he saw her suffering, he couldn’t stay away.

This current tale with Hannibal & Hades has become my favorite couple in this series. Having gotten to know Hades in previous books there is more to the woman than meets the eye and also more complicated than we have seen in previous books. Our hearts broke for Hades her story was devasting to hear and it amazes me that with all those siblings no one saw what was beyond the surface, especially her twin.

Hannibal & Hade were a match made in heaven for each other. They had amazing chemistry and were explosive together in and out of bed. Loved how kind and gentle Hannible was a man who always had Hades's back from the moment they met.

Love the connection between this couple and the easiness of it. Hannible family welcomed Hades with open arms and well as Hannibal's friends and colleagues were her fierce protectors & defenders.

The story was filled with mystery suspense love and laughter and amazing friendships. The story unpacked a lot of sadness and pain when it came to Hade's life but through it all, she found healing and love and found her happy ever after.

Book Review When Harry Met Molly (Impossible Bachelors, #1) by Kieran Kramer

He's always been a player.

Dashing Lord Harry Traemore is perfectly content to live out his days in the pursuit of pleasure. But when he's named by the Prince Regent as one of society's "Impossible Bachelors," Harry is drafted into a ribald romantic wager. The rules of engagement are scandalously simple: The bachelor whose mistress wins the title of "Most Delectable Companion" gets to remain unmarried. Harry is utterly unconcerned about his status...until his latest lightskirt abandons him.

Who will win this game of love?

Enter Lady Molly Fairbanks. Harry's childhood friend—actually, "foe" is more like it—is the most unlikely companion of all. She's attractive but hot-headed, and in no mood for games. Besides, what could the self-indulgent Harry possibly know about what makes a woman delectable? It's time for Molly to teach him a lesson once and for all...but will it lead to "happily ever after"?

Harry Met Molly, a historical romance by Kieran Kramer, offers a delightful blend of humor, charm, and engaging characters set against the backdrop of Regency England. The novel centers on the prickly yet magnetic relationship between Harry and Molly, whose youthful animosity evolves into a complicated alliance when fate reunites them under unexpected circumstances. This story stands out for its witty banter, inventive plot twists, and a fresh take on classic romantic tropes.

One of the novel’s biggest strengths lies in its character development. Both Harry and Molly are vividly drawn, flawed, and utterly relatable despite their period setting. Their initial disdain for each other creates a dynamic tension that is both entertaining and believable. Molly’s innocence and quick wit are especially endearing, particularly as she navigates unfamiliar social games with humorous missteps and growing confidence. Harry, meanwhile, balances a roguish charm with a protective nature that deepens his appeal. The supporting cast, including the meddlesome suitors and scheming rivals, adds layers of intrigue and comic relief, making the story feel rich and lively.

The plot cleverly revolves around a contest arranged by the Prince Regent to crown the “Most Delectable Companion,” a premise that injects both stakes and playfulness into the romance. Kramer’s inventive scenario allows for a mix of social maneuvering and personal growth, as Molly and Harry team up to outwit their competitors. The tension between societal expectations and personal desires propels the narrative forward, while the evolving relationship between the protagonists provides the emotional core. The novel’s pacing keeps readers hooked, balancing moments of laughter with heartfelt scenes.

The humor is well-timed without undermining the emotional depth, and the romantic development feels earned rather than rushed. The occasional chaotic interference from a rogue adds just the right amount of complication and suspense.

In conclusion, Harry Met Molly is a thoroughly entertaining read for anyone who appreciates a smart, funny, and heartfelt historical romance. It’s perfect for readers who enjoy strong-willed heroines, charming heroes, and a plot filled with witty challenges and romantic tension. Kieran Kramer’s storytelling shines here, and this book promises a rewarding experience for new fans and seasoned romance lovers alike. If you’re looking for a love story that makes you laugh, cry, and cheer, Molly’s journey is one worth joining.

Explosive Eighteen (Stephanie Plum #18) by Janet Evanovich

Explosive Eighteen

  (Stephanie Plum #18)

3.68 of 5 stars

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum’s life is set to blow sky high when international murder hits dangerously close to home, in this dynamite novel by Janet Evanovich.

Before Stephanie can even step foot off Flight 127 from Hawaii to Newark, she’s knee deep in trouble. Her dream vacation turned into a nightmare, she’s flying back to New Jersey solo, and someone who sounds like Sasquatch is snoring in row 22. Worse still, her seat mate never returned to the plane after the L.A. layover. Now he’s dead, in a garbage can, waiting for curbside pickup. His killer could be anyone. The FBI, the fake FBI, and guns-for-hire are all looking for a photograph the dead man was supposed to be carrying.

Only one other person has seen the missing photograph—Stephanie Plum. Now she’s the target, and she doesn’t intend to end up in a garbage can. With the help of an FBI sketch artist Stephanie re-creates the person in the photo. Unfortunately the first sketch turns out to look like Tom Cruise, and the second sketch like Ashton Kutcher. Until Stephanie can improve her descriptive skills, she’ll need to watch her back.

Over at the Bail Bonds Agency it’s business as usual—until the bonds bus serving as Vinnie’s temporary HQ goes up in smoke, Stephanie’s wheel man, Lula, falls in love with their “largest” FTA yet, lifetime arch nemesis Joyce Barnhardt moves into Stephanie’s apartment, and everyone wants to know what happened in Hawaii?!

Morelli, Trenton’s hottest cop, isn’t talking about Hawaii. Ranger, the man of mystery, isn’t talking about Hawaii.  And all Stephanie is willing to say about her Hawaiian vacation is . . . It’s complicated.

My Thoughts and Review

I just love Stephanie Plum. After reading some other reviews I am saying to myself did you read the same book I did ? I though this was a light fun read . The book had me laughing on and off throughout the whole book. I have so stay this story kind of reminded me of Sookie Stakehouse as these two characters have a lot in common with the things that happen to them being in the wrong place at the wrong time.Such drama wrought with danger.

Stephanies life is i bad shape right now all sorts of mishaps and things are going a rye every day all day long. She. is blaming it on what happen Hawaii.Steph is caught been two very two different hot men and she cannot trust her heart or her emotions on what she truly wants. Why chose enjoy both ! lol. They mystery starts out with a photograph that ends up in Steph;s bag as  she is coming home from her vacation. She thinks she pick it up accidentally and take one look at it and trashes it.But, before you know it all kinds of crazies are after the photo including the FBI.While people are trying to kill her and harm her Stephanie needs to start solving the mystery as to why while doing her job as a bond agent and bring in the nasty ones who skip out on there bond or court dates which seems to be a hard task now that her mojo is off kilter.

I use enjoy these mysteries the are funny to read you love the characters.Steph has two hot men in her life, her best friend is so crazy you never know what is going to come out of her mouth next but, believe be she'll have you laughing while doing it. Steph's grandmother is a hoot and she makes life more interesting for Stephanie and definitely us readers she is so funny in the situations she  gets in to and to her quick whit and funny lines she is always saying just make the stories more enjoyable.I thought it was a page turner that was full of laughs. And I have decided that if Stephanie is off men I will take care of Ranger for her until she back on ! LOL

Recommended read for those who love the Stephanie Plum Series .Be sure to check out the other books in the series they are great to.
