Tough Justice by Tee O'Fallon Excerpt Tour & Review

TOUGH JUSTICE by Tee O’Fallon is coming in one week! Check it out and be sure to pre-order your copy today!

Title: Tough Justice

Author: Tee OFallon

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Release Date: March 29th

About Tough Justice:

It should have been a routine investigation. Instead, DEA K-9 agent Adam "Deck" Decker watches in horror as one Denver hospital seems to be Ground Zero for overdoses of a new drug. Now Deck can only hope a certain icy, green-eyed ER doctor will help him and his canine partner track down the deadly source.   Dr. Tori Sampson has her reasons for not trusting federal agents, especially ones working for the DEA. But the rash of overdoses—including a heartbreaking case involving a teen—is alarmingly high. And the new opioid is not only extremely dangerous, it defies all the usual medical treatments. So Tori has a choice: work with the big, brawny, and annoyingly hot DEA agent...or watch more innocent people die. Tori's the only person who can help Deck break the case, and they'll need to trust each other, no matter how high the tension and attraction sizzling between them runs. But with every question answered, they realize there's something more behind these typical teen overdoses. There's a pattern here, and a pattern can only suggest one thing. There's a killer on the loose.

This was a cute story that we thoroughly enjoyed. For us, Thor stole the spotlight in this story, he made it so easy to love him, and we were falling in love from the moment we met him. You have you appreciate the kind of love and trust Thor and Deck have for one another.

Loved Tori and Dec together, they made a cute couple and both might have been complete opposites, but they just fit together. I loved that they compromised, willing to give each other a chance, especially because they had such aversions to each other's jobs. We loved the fact that Tori decided to expand beyond her comport zone, it was good for her, and we felt she started living again  and was interested in something other than work.

Deck was a character driven by his past, so much, so he might not only lose his life one of these days but, the one woman who could end up being the love of his life. You were still sexy as all he** though.

Overall we really enjoyed the story with some drama and a bit of adventure and had a mystery to solve that involved two passionate people who had one common goal.
Loved the chemistry between Deck and Tori that simmered below the surface, they were a match made in heaven. Thor, buddy, we thought you were awesome!

Exclusive Excerpt:

When he turned and locked gazes with her, her mouth went just a teensy, weensy bit dry. In the examining room, she’d been concentrating on her patient, then she’d been so annoyed with Agent Decker that she hadn’t really seen him. There was no denying he brought out the fifty shades of animosity, but one thing was for certain: with his chiseled jawline, slightly cleft chin, and sexy as all-get-out five o’clock shadow, the man was about as handsome as it got. Hard not to admire his muscular physique, either. He must spend all his free time in a gym, lifting barbells and dumbbells and whatever other bells made a man’s body that way. He closed his eyes, as if reciting a mental prayer. “Thanks, Doc.” The last thing she wanted was gratitude from the DEA. The short-lived attempt to rein in her internal bitch flew out the window as the past came roaring back in a rush of emotion. Especially the distraught look on her dad’s face that fateful day. “Don’t thank me,” she bit out. “I’m just doing my job. Maybe if the great and powerful DEA did its job, drugs wouldn’t be sold on every street corner in Denver, and Colorado’s opioid crisis wouldn’t be spiraling out of control. Your friend is the third opioid overdose I’ve treated today, and the tenth this week. Three of those patients died. And that’s just on my shifts. I can’t speak to what happens when I’m not here, or how many are dying before they even get to the hospital.” She blew out a breath and grappled for a calm she didn’t feel. “Whatever just hit the streets could be the beginning of something really scary, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it. But you can.” He opened his mouth to say something, but she cut him off. “And another thing.” She jabbed a finger at him. “This is my castle, not the DEA’s. If you ever come into my ER again, I’ll have you thrown out on your muscled ass.”

We really loved Hunter and Alice's story.
What an unusual pairing yet perfect for one another. We loved the fact that Hunter had better luck with women this time around as a vampire than he did when he was a human and a firefighter. Loved
Hunter's possessiveness and protectiveness, he came off all alpha baby!

Hunter was great, we loved seeing him grow and yet be vulnerable, at least when it came to spilling his guts to Alice. We also loved the fact that these pairings lead you in the direction of finding other paranormal, adding to the mix of this crazy big paranormal family.

Alice was such a sweetheart and had a kind of loving heart, loved how she tried playing at the sexy siren scenario only to blush when making her moves. Alice has not had an easy life and her past is encroaching once again coupled with her special abilities and along with learning that there are vampires, shifters, demons, warlocks, and it's a lot to take in but, she is a fierce little thing taking it all in stride making her even more attractive to Hunter than she already is and nothing but, a little warrior in our eyes.

We absolutely love Meara she is a bada** and scary as all get out but,  we also love how she befriends and shows generosity to the ones she cares about taking them into the fold and under her wing making them one of big happy family. Such a generous heart for such a deadly vampire and we love her wicked sense of humor, she reminds me a lot of Nina Stapleton from Dakota Cassidy's ACCIDENTAL SERIES.

Another enjoyable romp in the paranormal world where nothing is as it seems and a lot of drama constantly going on. Loved the cast of characters and how all the paranormal are playing nice with one another, well most of them. We thought Hunter and Alice made a cute couple and loved the fact that Alice has this large and wonderful family to watch over her and protect her at all cost, and that includes the wolf shifters also. The story brought a ton of smiles and more than a few chuckles, we have no doubt that Alice with fit right in with this crazy bunch of vampires that we have come to love so much.

Exclusive Excerpt:

As Hunter started to step out of the elevator, an odd-looking dog raced in front of him and darted inside. “Marigold!” a woman’s voice called. “Marigold! Stop!” Hunter looked up to see a flurry of color as a woman rushed down the hallway toward him. Or, presumably, toward the dog. “She’s inside. She’s not going anywhere,” he said, moving to block the entry to keep the animal in, surprised to find himself amused for the second time in ten minutes. For only the third or fourth time in the weeks since he’d died. “She might push the button for a floor, and then where would I be? Chasing her all over the hotel all night?” The woman, a colorful whirlwind of purple silk, wild red curls, and flashing green eyes, ducked past him and bent down. “You naughty thing! Hotels are dangerous! What if somebody tried to eat you?” “This may not be a five-star hotel, but I doubt they’ve resorted to eating dogs,” Hunter drawled. She lifted the animal into her arms and stood, turning to face him but still looking at the animal in her arms. “Marigold is a raccoon, as you can see. And this is the South. They eat raccoons in the South, or haven’t you read Nathaniel Porter’s Field Guide to Local Fauna?” “I…can’t say that I have,” he said slowly, because his brain cells seemed to be melting. It was a raccoon. In a hotel. And the raccoon rescuer was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. She was nearly as tall as he was, so maybe five-ten. She had cheekbones that could cut glass, and her smile, directed at the raccoon, was wide and lit up her face. Her eyes were the brilliant green of a spring apple, and her mass of red curls reached nearly to her waist. The purple dress she wore was a complicated thing made of scarves or loose flutters of fabric, and the entire picture gave him the impression of a forest nymph or fortune-teller. “A raccoon,” he finally said, simply because the situation seemed to call for him to speak, but he had no idea what the hell to say. “Yes. As I said. If you’d move out of the way?” She finally glanced up at him. Her eyes narrowed, and her glossy red lips tightened. “Oh. I should have known it would be that kind of night.” He knew she was talking, but he couldn’t quite make out the words or the meaning, because every single molecule of his body was suddenly, painfully focused on one thing and one thing only. The pulse beating in her throat.

Joanna Wylde’s ELI’S TRIUMPH – Review & Excerpt Tour

From New York Times Bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes ELI’S TRIUMPH, a new novella in her Reapers MC series, brought to you by 1,001 Dark Nights! Be sure to grab your copy today!

About ELI’S TRIUMPH:

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series…

Peaches Taylor spent the last seven years slinging drinks and dodging drunks at the Starkwood Saloon. Some might call it a dead end job, but to her it was an investment—another six months, and she’d have enough money to buy the place.

Life would've been perfect if Eli hadn’t come home.

Eli King is ready to settle down. He stood by his brothers when they needed him, paying the price for their freedom with his own. Now it’s time to claim his reward—the Starkwood Saloon. He’s got the cash to buy the bar, the skills to run it, and just one person standing between him and his dream: Peaches Taylor.

She’s been driving him crazy since they were kids, and not in the good way. When she was six, she shoved a spider down his pants. When he was ten, he locked her in a closet overnight. Then she hot-wired his car at seventeen, and things got ugly…

They’re adults now, and the Starkwood isn’t a toy to fight over—it’s the hill they’ll die on. No prisoners. No compromises. No mercy.

Peaches Taylor and Eli King are going to war.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Wow ~! What a cute story ! This current tale was filled with a ton of laughs.Peaches and Eli have a past and grew up together with the same man looking over them but, from the moment they met he became her Nemesis .Though-out the years Peaches and Eli's relationship remained that way but, there was always this underlying current of sexual tension and desire.

We actually enjoyed the story as it was fun and flirty and had a great cast of characters and more that a few betrayals but, all is explained and desires explored. The story was filled with love and forgiveness and all about second chances and writing the wrongs of ones past making you into a better man but, also showing someone you loved them more than life itself and will protect you with everything they have even of those deeds are done from afar .

We loved both Eli and Peaches they made a cute couple and just perfect for each other Peaches the saucy minx and Eli the biker bad boy who has know problem expressing his love for his women even if he goes about it in is own quirky ways and has no problem wanting to be owned by this women in every way.

 "We loved it !"

4 stars

From New York Times bestselling author, Rebecca Zanetti, comes a new Dark Protectors/Rebels Novella…

Vengeance and revenge are the only forces driving vampire soldier Noah Siosal since losing his brother to an enemy he’s been unable to find. He’s searched every corner of the globe, going through adversaries and piling up bodies until finally getting a lead. The last place he wants to be is in a ridiculous anger management group with people expressing feelings instead of taking action. Until one fragile human, a green-eyed sweetheart being stalked by danger, catches his eye. One touch, and he realizes vengeance can’t be anywhere near her.

Anger and self-preservation are the only motivations Abby Miller needs or wants right now. Falsely accused of attacking the man who’s terrorized her for years, she’s forced as a plea bargain to attend an anger management counseling group with people with some serious rage issues, while learning true self defense on the side. Yet a man, one more primal than any she’s ever met, draws her in a way and into a world deadlier than she’s ever imagined. He offers her protection, but she finds the fight is really for his heart, and she’s ready to battle.

Let me start off my saying that Rebecca is one of my favorite authors as I love everything she writes and The Dark Protectors is a series that I re-read all the time.I love all the characters associated with this series.

This author has done it yet again this was one funny read. Omg ! we loved this Novella and its character's and I have to say that Ivar made this book down right hilarious!

We loved Abby and Noah as they really made the perfect couple who had amazing chemistry but , also had a great friendship that turned into so much more. For Noah it was pretty much love at first sight and for Abby lust and first sight but, honestly she could not help but fall for the big arrogant lug right from the start too.

We loved the plot where a bunch of immortal vampires & demons are forced to go to mandatory counseling for anger management.Well let's just say those sessions where down right hilarious but, it was also where Noah was destined to meet his mate who's life is riddled with nothing drama and chaos just like his. lol The perfect mate for an immortal full of hate and Hell bent on Vengeance  "you think ?" lol

Overall we loved the story from beginning to end it was fun and engaging had drama, suspense a touching romance even liked that fact that a bunch of Immortals who hate each other are forced to work as a team oh, yeah fun times that had us laughing out loud with their bickering jabs antics with one another throughout the entire story .We loved it and would love to see Ivar get his own story or see more of him because his honesty and plain speaking made him funny as he**!

Well done and goes into the keeper pile to be read over and over again when we need tons of laughs.

Recommended read to all !
