Excerpt- “I am not getting coffee with you.”Quill scowled. “Why not?”“Why not?” She laughed.“Yeah. Why not. You don’t like coffee?”Cori was sure he didn’t have a clue why she was turning him down. In fact, she kind of wanted to accept his invitation, but when she looked at his confused expression, it just made it worse. “Maybe because I saw you and your girlfriend last night in the hall.”“She isn’t my girlfriend.”“You know that doesn’t really help your case.”He frowned. “Yeah I guess it doesn’t”Cori bent down to collect her music folder.“You know you shouldn’t be so high and mighty. You were the rocker chick dressed in a skirt so short she gave the front row pussy shots all night, but apparently you have a set of higher morals when it comes to drinking coffee.”“I was not giving pussy shots. Whatever the hell that is. And even if I was, it’s different than sticking something in a pussy.” She crossed her arms over her chest.“You afraid?” His cocky tone was back.“Of your herpes ass? I don’t think so.”Quill suppressed a laugh. “I don’t think you can get herpes on your ass.”“I wouldn’t know.”“Nor would I. Coffee?” He tried again. “You can’t get herpes from coffee.” Quill’s gaze dropped to her hands.

Angels with Attitude - Author Interview
What would you have done differently if you were the main character of your book ?
If I was Quill I would have went to someone for help sooner. In the first book, Serenity, and then now in Tranquility both him and his sister try to take on the world alone and they need to look to others for support.
What was your inspiration behind this book?
I am a teacher. The series was inspired by a student I had in my class and her brother. Of course I put a variety of students into the one character but the initial inspiration was from this particular family.
Why did you become a writer?
I have always written stories and I hate to think where all those original pages are now…but primarily I began writing as a therapeutic devise to get through some events of my past. My first book Entrusted is the result of that. I found it liberating.
Do you have a favorite author or authors?
I have so many favorites! Too many to list because I favorites in every genre.
Do you like to write your books in a continuing series?
I really enjoy writing books in a series. I fall in love with my characters and like to keep them going
If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why?
I would date Solomon from my book Entrusted because he is based on my husband.
What kinds of books do you like to read in your spare time?
I read many different genres. It’s easier to say what I don’t like, which is fantasy.
As a reader and writer I think it is important to get to know your fans and make a connection with them as an author who takes the extra step to hear what their fans think and want in their continued writing is continued success and key to selling more books .Do you agree with that?
Totally. I am constantly trying to reach out to my fans and to grow a larger fan base. I love to talk to my readers and discuss my books or any books. I attend signings and enjoy planning activities, like lunches, to sit down with the readers and chat.
Do you cry when writing sad scenes?
No. I know when I start that a character is going to leave my book so it isn’t a surprise.
Did you have a Cover Designer?
My son is my cover designer.
Who is your fictional boyfriend or girlfriend crush?
I would have to say Colton Donavan from the Driven series by Kristie Bromberg or Remy from Real by Katy Evans
If you were able to dine and have a one on one with your favorite writer/author who would it be?
I would love to have a one on one with Maggie
Stiefvater
Do just re-read your favorite books?
No
Do you ever get in a reading slump like your readers do?
Yes I certainly do. That is why I love the feature on my kindle that shows books I might like.
What is the funniest book you ever read?
I don’t know. I don’t think I have read many funny books
