Loving this series.This story Trance is sent to recruit Rik who is being controlled by Itor the competitive agency who exploits people with gifts to do bad things.They have a collar that had a bomb in it and they controlled her by using it to make demands. Rik is a shape-shifter she shifts into a wolf but, she has not control of the beast when its out. She is a danger and its hard to control the beast as it is also ruled by her emotions.She is hiding out in a sex club which specializes in domination and submission.Trance has to go uncover in this club and seek Rik out and its not in his nature to do so and it is playing with his emotions. He is expected to do things the he doesn't want to do but, has to submit for the good of the cause. He has to be very convincing as Rik never sees the same sub again.
Rik weather she admits it or not but, something is different about Trance and she is intrigued.They play a cat a mouse game for a bit until Trance is forced to play his hand as danger is right behind them as and Agent of ARCO .Ryan has had his mind scrubbed by the bad Agency Itor who is controlling him now through brain washing making Rik his target.Ryan not knowing who he is or the he was even that he was an Agent ARCO Agency they have made him a killer for them.Now Trance needs to deal with two deadly problems hoping they all survive it.Trance has his own special talents hoping her can convince both parties to do the right thing without blood-shed.
As always with this series there are other mini stories going on. Devil ARCO commander his dealing with a new situation in his life.Marlena also one of Dev's lovers is making life changes.Kira makes her appearance and course Wyatt and Faith are here with us again in this tale.
The character's in this book and the collection of the other stories in this series is really what makes this series a hit in my book. They are all unique in there own way.Wounded souls all of them when the arrive at ARCO but, healed through time and love.They are a group of friends who are like family to one another and have each others back. There are all dangerous yet, have superior talents and can be fun and loving on the other hand.
Some loose ties clear up while secrets revealed. Arco two agents need to come to grips with the past in order to go forward and love the two women these been were meant to love.
