Current problem: Accidentally rejected the hot pilot

NOLAN BRADFORD

Age: 29
Occupation: Airline pilot
Location: Tampa
Personal rule: No repeats
Current problem: Finding reasons to break his own dating rule

When MMA fighter Mason Monroe accidentally rejects airline pilot Nolan Bradford on the dating app The Click, he doesn’t expect to run into him on his flight. He definitely isn’t prepared for one drink at their hotel to turn into a one-night stand.

They go their separate ways, convinced that’s the end of it, until three months later, when they’re reunited as best men on a weeklong wedding cruise.

Nolan has one rule when it comes to hookups: no repeats. But with Mason in the cabin next door and the attraction between them impossible to ignore, finding a loophole is way too tempting.

Their vacation fling quickly turns into friends with benefits, with one agreement: whatever happens on the cruise ends when they get off the ship.

Except neither of them wants it to.

With Mason building his fighting career in Sacramento and Nolan based in Tampa, more than two thousand miles and two demanding schedules should make keeping things casual easy.

Too bad walking away from each other gets harder every time they try.

This is Mason and Nolan's story, flirty, fun, and packed with heat. Their story starts when Nolan found Nolan through Click, a dating app. Through a mishap, a conversation to get to know one another falls through; they met by chance later on. We have to say, bringing up the whole rejected thing throughout the story became pretty funny. Mason, we found to be a talker, easygoing, with a wicked sense of humor, and all-around nice guy whose family annoys him yet loves them deeply and could not do without them. Nolan is more on the alpha side, is a straightforward guy, and his snark and banter are priceless; they will make you smile and laugh throughout the story. Gives off those daddy vibes even though he is not very old. You will find a found family vibe going on in this story as the characters are wonderful and act like one big happy family that is always in your business, and they loved teasing the budding romance between Nolan and Mason, especially with Mason, who was a one-and-done kind of guy. Nolan and Mason's chemistry was explosive, steamy, and pure fire. We loved the twist that brought them together once again. Their forced proximity gives them a chance to explore one another in a friends-with-benefits situation; it becomes clear early on that these two will not be able to walk away that easily. Mason looking for loopholes in his own rules had us grinning ear to ear. We loved seeing these two build something and the work and effort they put in to make a long relationship work. They had obstacles for sure, but not the kind that is an all-or-nothing kind of thing. This was a perfect bedtime read, the banter throughout this story had us constantly laughing and filled with lovable characters, and Mason's nickname for Nolan, Air Daddy, just to piss him off, was priceless every time we heard it; we laughed out loud . Great story these two authors did, and a fantastic job with this one, and we loved it.

Babygirl is a steamy MM college standalone romance about a golden boy who can't look away, and the dangerous man who's been watching him right back.

BabyGirl: A Collision of Worlds, a Spark of Desire Lucy Lennox Vaughan's BabyGirl plunges us headfirst into the electrifying world of college romance, where opposing forces collide and ignite an undeniable chemistry. This enemies-to-lovers tale masterfully pits the seemingly untouchable golden boy of the football field, Bett, against the enigmatic, tough Vaughan, who runs a clandestine cage-fighting ring to fund his education and support his sister. The heart of BabyGirl lies in the stark contrast between its protagonists. Bett, accustomed to a life of privilege courtesy of his senator father, finds himself drawn to the rugged charm and dangerous allure of Vaughan. Conversely, Vaughan, a skilled mechanic with a passion for restoring vehicles, carries a chip on his shoulder and a simmering grudge against Bett, the origins of which fuel the initial, often comical, friction between them. Vaughan's playful yet provocative taunts, like "babygirl," are as much a source of exasperation as they are a tantalizing invitation, keeping us eagerly turning pages to see how this volatile dynamic will unfold. What truly shines in BabyGirl is the palpable tension and explosive passion that erup when Bett and Vaughan finally succumb to their attraction. The plot skillfully portrays Bett's exploration of his burgeoning feelings for Vaughan, a new and uncharted territory for him. Vaughan, typically a commitment-phobe, finds himself surprisingly invested in an exclusive relationship, and the journey of these two learning to navigate their evolving connection, while dealing with external pressures, is compelling. However, the story doesn't shy away from the considerable challenges these young men face. Bett's life is far from the gilded cage it appears to be. His father's overbearing control and the suffocating expectations of his political lineage create a palpable sense of impending crisis for him. The moments where Bett finds solace and genuine connection in Vaughan's arms offer a much-needed respite, yet also highlight the precariousness of their situation, especially given the senator's likely disapproval. Vaughan, too, grapples with the weight of his responsibilities and the complexities of his past. While the plot excels in its emotional depth and the intensity of its romantic arc, there were moments where Bett's emotional turmoil felt particularly overwhelming. BabyGirl is a perfect read for fans of MM romance, particularly those who enjoy the enemies-to-lovers trope, a healthy dose of angst, and explosive chemistry. I appreciate stories about overcoming adversity, defying expectations, and finding love in unexpected places; you'll find yourself thoroughly invested. The "don't judge a book by its cover" theme is masterfully woven throughout, revealing the hidden struggles beneath seemingly perfect exteriors. This was a deeply satisfying and emotional journey. Vaughan and Bett's fierce protectiveness of each other and those they care about, coupled with the satisfying resolution, makes for a truly rewarding reading experience. The epilogue offers a delightful glimpse into their future, solidifying this standalone novel as a memorable and heartwarming addition to the genre. If you're looking for a romance that's both edgy and heartfelt, with characters you'll be rooting for every step of the way, BabyGirl is an absolute must-read.
