SYNOPSIS

ONE BLIZZARD, ONE BUNKHOUSE, AND A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE . ..

Josie Dawson is new in town, but it doesn't take a local to know that Deke Sullivan is trouble—in a smokin' hot package. He's sweet, sexy, and has charmed just about every woman in Dry Creek, Texas. Well, Josie won't be next. She'll keep her distance, even if he is great with babies and makes a mean cup of homemade hot chocolate.

Deke Sullivan really is a one-woman type of guy. He just had to do a lot of looking to find that one woman. Now he thinks he's found her and he won't let a strong, sassy gal like Josie slip away. Just when he's wondering how to convince her he only has eyes for her, they get stranded in a tiny cabin during a major blizzard. If Deke can melt her heart before they dig out of the snow, he'll be the luckiest cowboy in Texas . . .

WICKED COWBOY CHARM Teaser Blitz excerpt

Josie could hardly take her eyes off Deke’s strong arms as he carried a pile of wood the short distance from the box to the fireplace. To have those arms around her, to cuddle up next to him on one of those bunk beds—she shook her head to get the picture out of it and reached for the tin box of matches on the mantel.
“How many do you need?” she asked.
“Just one,” he answered.
“Confident, aren’t you?”
“Not confidence, just practice, ma’am.” He got the fire going with the first one.
“Impressive,” she said.
“We’ll get it warmed up in here soon enough.”
Josie sat down on the sofa facing the fireplace and took stock of the little cabin. A set of bunk beds covered the wall to her right. A doorway into a bathroom was to her left along with crudely made bookshelves with about a hundred well-worn paperback books. A deck of cards was in the middle of a card table with a couple of folding metal chairs on either side. A second table was fitted into the small corner from the end of the bunk beds to the wall and another oil lamp had been placed in the middle of it.
“We’ll survive,” Deke said.
“Who are you trying to convince? Me or you?” Josie asked.
“Both of us. It’s better than freezing to death in our vehicles. Lord, I wish I would have turned around and gone right back home when the first snowflake hit,” he answered.
“Me too.” She threw one arm over her head and groaned.
“Top or bottom?” Deke asked.
“Well, now that depends on lots of things,” she said before she thought.
Deke whipped around, his eyes big as silver dollars. “What did you say?”
She blushed and quickly covered her blooper. “I don’t care. I could sleep right here. Maybe I’ll wake up to find this is all a dream.”
“Okay then, I’ll take the bottom bunk. Rascal gets restless if he’s not sleeping right beside the bed on his blanket or else on the foot of it. And darlin’, if you wake up and find this is a dream, don’t leave me behind.”
“No way, cowboy. You are stuck with me for the duration of this damned storm.”
“And you, darlin’, are stuck with me.”

I love this series featuring the Honky Tonk bar they are all enjoyable reads full of fun and laughter and always have really Hot men in them ! (giggle) Sharlene is an ex -military sniper who now owns and bar and is also a romance writer. Sharlene graced the previous books as a writer for a newspaper doing a story on the Honky Tonk Charm and ended up staying. The Honky Tonk is believed to be cursed with a Charm anyone who owns its ending up finding true love.No one really believes that the Tonk is cursed but there have definitely been an awful lot of weddings of late!

Sharlene has hired Holt Jackson to put an addition on the Tonk. One smoken hot cowboy !Holt comes in tow with a niece and a nephew as there mother was lost to an accident when a drunk driver mowed her down.Sharlene rents her house in town to the family which she calls the Bahama house it loaded with bright Caribbean colors with two bright rocking chairs on the front porch. (LOL) First impressions you got to be kidding !

There is not a whole lot going on in this book just every day stuff, writing, taking care of the Tonk, visiting old war buddies, making amends with family and developing and love story with both Holt and his children.Sharlene has bad dreams at night about the war and she can't sleep .Sharlene wanders at night and always seems to end of and the Bahama house where she sits on the rocking chairs and looks at the stars. Holt see's a pattern here and offers comfort and hot chocolate. Most nights they just sit there talk and cuddle getting to know one another and coming to realize that they have feelings for one another.

Holt is torn as he cares for Sharlene but, wants someone more of a stable someone for his kids and the don't include the bartender and and owner of a bar in his and there future. The Tonk has become a safe haven for her and she likes her independence and loves the Tonk but she needs to decide what she wants more....The sparks are there and she already loves the children and her heart is breaking thinking about when they leave how she is going to ever say goodbye.

This book is full of fun and laughs also with ups and downs. There family get together's were a hoot! Women sitting around discussing family life, problems, cheating husbands and dealing with match making mommas, well, the scenes are pretty funny the stuff that comes out of Sharlene's mouth is just unbelievable. There is definitely something a foot a the Tonk with its vintage atmosphere and oldies jukebox. The Charm seems to be working they just don't know it yet!The characters where very engaging, funny, loving and a caring bunch. This was a light fun read .This book was a pleasure to read and as always I am looking forward to the next adventure. A great book to curl up to on a rainy day !A Recommended read both this book and its series.

'Tis the season for:

- A matchmaking grandma on a long-disantance mission.
- Mistletoe temptation in every doorway.
- A sexy cowboy with a killer smile.

When Gran Presely agrees to sell Creed Riley the Rockin' C Ranch for a song at Christmastime, he can hardly believe his good fortune. There's just one little catch - her tantalizing granddaughter Sage is part of the deal...

Our Review

I am a big fan of Carolyn Browns books !

I have to say that I did enjoy this book and others in her Cowboy series. For me the story was a little slow going but, sometimes that is okay.I did enjoy both characters both Sage and Creed. Both characters are have commitment phobias and don't always trust there hearts.

I love strong women in stories and Sage was definitely one of those strong characters.Sage is an artist/painter and has come home to paint at her grandmothers ranch but , to also talk her grandmother out of selling the ranch she grew up on. The ranch gave Sage a sense of security and love. The ranch is more of a safety net , there she knows she is well loved and safe and does not have to put her self out there among the others where she might get her heart stomped on again.

Creed on the other hand has similar issues but, mainly because his previous relationship didn't goes so well an has the same commitment issues as Sage and also not wanting to open up to others leaving him vulnerable  again. But, he is one determined Cowboy and he wants this ranch and will fight Sage to the bitter end to have it for himself as it as been a dream of his for a long time to own his own ranch.

One of the things I like about Carolyn's books are that they are the kind of books you can curl up and read anywhere . I also call her books the feel good books meaning that once you start one of her novels you find yourself smiling and grinning and laughing throughout her stories and most often have you crying. But, once opening one of her books especially if you have had a bad day she has you smiling in no time at all.

There are lots of things that I enjoyed about the story the slow budding romance between Sage and Creed. I enjoyed seeing them opening up to one another even though each may have not ave realized they were helping one another to heal there past hurts.Loved Sage's interactions with the animals even though she was never really been a lover of them.Creed was just one down home Cowboy with a big loving heart for those he cared about and especially they way he went about caring for those animals in this story. He was one sexy cowboy who makes your heart go a flutter with his good looks and good deeds. He's the kind of cowboy we all wish to bring home to momma.

You got to love the spunk of both Sages grand-mother and Sages grandmother's sister these two gals were a hoot to read about giving you quite a few laughs the interaction between these two old gals who have so much spunk had you laughing out loud many times throughout the story. Priceless...

A cute Christmas time story where a couple of loners find love perhaps even there soul mate when neither is looking .But, fate put this couple in each other paths and destiny just has to flow and in the end they will gain there hearts desire if they both can just get over there pasts and not let it hurt there future that this couple has started to forge. Both need to let go and trust there hearts.

Great book and quite an enjoyable fast read ! Who doesn't love a romance story taking place in a massive snow storm ? Me ....I am a sucker for those kinds of reads there right up my alley as they say !

A recommended read to all. And be sure to read Carolyn other books in her cowboy series you won't be disappointed.

Blurb

One determined, hell-on-wheels cowgirl. One equally determined, sexier-than-hell cowboy. One innocent baby, who suddenly takes center stage and everybody's priorities are suddenly up for grabs.

With a young baby dropped in his lap, bronco rider Trace Coleman's world is turned upside down. Suddenly, Gemma O'Donnell, his stiffest competition on the rodeo scene, is now the one person who can help him. She's already resisting his sexy smile and even sexier swagger, but she can't resist a baby. When it comes down to it, only one can win, but is winning more important than love and family?

My Thoughts

Out of all Carolyn's books I have read this year this is one of my top favorites.

I really enjoy this story as it was lot of fun to read about these two main characters Gemma and Trace.Wow ! What explosive sparks this couple had.I just loved Gemma a smart sexy holden with a lot of spunk. Trace the roughly handsome cowboy with a softer side not your typical rodeo cowboy the love and leave them type.

Gemma and Trace are in competition with one another on the circuit working toward the final prize at winning a million dollars. For Trace it would mean buying a Ranch and settling down to a place to call home and to Gemma it means proving she was the best and first women to win this competition where the male dominate.

I have to say that Gemma was defiantly my favorite character. At every turn in this story she amazed me on how well she read people and the compassion she had for others. She was such a loving soul with a great big heart.Fierce yet a compassionate loving soul.

Trace amazed me with his talent and the way he handled having a bomb dropped on him when many would have just high tailed it out of there. Loved the way he handled the kids who he was chaperoning on a ranch on a break between competitions. He had a big heart that was overflowing. I did not find Trace to be the playboy at all.Loved the way he cared for Gemma when she was hurt in the rodeo he was so sweet.

When I starting reading this story I was addicted from the very first page. What a page turner ! I could not wait to see what happen next between this couple. It looked like they were doomed from there very first kiss. How does one fall in love with the other when there is a winning purse of a million dollars standing between them ?

Gemma and Trace were an extraordinary couple who had many obstacles to overcome. Not only to achieve there dreams but to find that perfect someone who is right just for you but to find true happiness and ones soul-mate.I enjoyed the plot and story line it was very engaging with lovable characters. For some love comes easy but, others have to really work at it . From the very beginning I just could not see this couple staying together with all they had between them .When one is competition with the other the gloves come off and sometimes it can turn deadly but, this couple seemed to make it work with very little effort for the time being but one bombshell might just jeopardize it all.

This couple where the true test that love can Conquer All !

A recommended read to all ! And be sure to check out Carolyn's other books they were just as amazing as this read was. She has a long time fan here if she keeps writing stories like these They are heartfelt reads written and with love......
