Zsadist and Bella are one of my favorite couples. This story was intense and full of emotion and also tragic for both characters. Loved seeing a different side of Zsadist that wasn't hardened he was softer with Bella even protective and little by little she seemed to be healing him but, he is scared and mentally broken, has hang-ups from being a blood slave he fights his feelings for her and he her. If anyone can heal this broken warrior it's her. No matter what his mind tells him his heart wants something different.
There was a lot of the story that tore out the heart of the reader. Loved Phury but, felt heartbroken at the same time for him and what he seemed to be going through with his complicated feelings towards another man's woman.
We loved Bella and our hearts broke for her as we knew from the beginning that her path to her happily ever after was going to be very rocky she would be shedding a lot of tears along the way and experience heartbreak but, she is strong enough to survive until her warrior comes to his senses and see that love is worth fighting for.
Zsadist is not a warm and fuzzy character he is deadly and brash, and seems to be dead inside, and a waiting time bomb but, with the love of a good woman he is capable of change and softness even if it is only toward his mate. He is fierce and loyal and the only saving grace for this warrior is going to be the bond he formed with his female.
The characters of this series are awesome we love them with their faults and all. The story is packed with suspense and drama while they battle another race to protect their own. Loved it as this series has given us so many characters to fall in love with.
