Love can play tricks on your heart… After serving several years in the United States Marine Corps, Sergeant Tucker Patton decides to hang up his uniform and go to work at a private investigative firm owned by his buddy. His boxes are packed and he’s got one foot out the door when a phone call changes everything.

Instead of going to North Carolina, he heads to New York City to literally step into the life of his twin brother, who died under suspicious circumstances. But pretending to be someone else isn’t easy.

Especially when the person you’re supposed to be is wanted dead.
Not only that, but he’s going from being blissfully single to living with his brother’s woman. An uptight, no-nonsense lawyer.

Charlotte Rose Carter doesn’t have time for fun and games. She graduated with honors and made all the right moves fresh out of college to jumpstart her career as a successful young lawyer. She even snagged the most eligible bachelor in New York City’s corporate world.

So what if her and Max’s relationship isn’t burning up the sheets? So what if their life doesn't read like a chapter from a sizzling romance novel? This is the real world, and in the real world that stuff is just fantasy.

Until it isn’t.

Suddenly, just the slightest touch or a single glance from Max has her heart doing somersaults. Suddenly, the lackluster relationship begins to spark, and Charlotte finds herself tied in a knot of desire.

But she has no idea about the tricks being played right under her perky little nose

Our Review

What can I say - Cambria you are a rock star - you did it again. You made me laugh, cry, squeal, ohhh, ahhh, and lose sleep because I just couldn’t put Tucker down. :) Oh Tucker, Tucker, Tucker. Okay, okay stop daydreaming - besides Charlotte has him right. LOL

Normally I am one for highlighting up my books and posting tons of little snippets from the book and making my comments after them. Well okay so I did highlight up this book but what can I say, Tucker is a twin, his brother is Max. Tucker just got out of the Marines and is heading down south to partner up with none other than Nathan and Honour. Yep that is right the other hot Marine from Text (another Take it Off book) phew two hot Marines in one room come on Cambria are you trying to give a girl a heart attack. LOL

Something bad happens to Max and Tucker steps into his life, and part of that life is Charlotte. His mind says play it cool, this is your brothers woman, do what you came here to do, find what you need to find and get out. But oh those darn bodies of ours, why do they never listen to us. It isn’t long before sparks are flying between Tucker and Charlotte and wow do they ever fly.

And along with those sparks comes the danger, what happened to Max, may now happen to not only Tucker but to the beautiful Charlotte as well. That doesn’t sit too well with Tucker and boy does this guy get mad when “garlic breath” tries to hurt her. I give Charlotte credit that woman can hold her own.

It doesn’t take too long before Charlotte catches on, those subtle difference start adding up and once she realizes her life is in danger too. And then she is torn, between loyalty, and feelings she has never known, feelings so strong they reach right into her very being and cause havoc within the life she has known, planned, lived.

Then there is the letter, oh this letter, I cried, yes I did, as Charlotte read this letter and her eyes finally saw, her ears finally heard and her heart finally opened. Nailed it with that letter Cambria!!!

So yeah I highlighted like I always do but this review doesn’t need them to help it out. This book, this story, these characters they stand on their own, they stand up, they stand tall and they stand proud…. Okay Tattoo bring it on!!!!!
