What would you have done differently if you were the main character of your book?

Tough question—it’s hard for me to understand the depth of the emotions my main characters feel. But if I were honest—I would have killed Joseph Bombardier the first chance I got.

What was your inspiration behind this book?

A commercial for Assassin’s Creed the video game. I saw an amazing commercial and that got everything in me spinning.

Why did you become a writer?
I love to tell stories. And I ran out of reading material from my favorite authors so I decided to write my own. ;)

Do you have a favorite author or authors? Kathleen Woodiwiss, Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught

Do you like to write your books in a continuing series?
I don’t think I have a preference but I will say that I end up loving my secondary characters so much, they must have books themselves. I’m definitely comfortable with it.

If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why?
Gideon Cross—I’d like to take his brokenness and help him make it something beautiful, lol!

What kinds of books do you like to read in your spare time?
Romance, romance, romance!!

As a reader and writer I think it is important to get to know your fans and make a connection with them as an author who takes the extra step to hear what their fans think and want in their continued writing is continued success and key to selling more books .Do you agree with that?
Absolutely! I love my fans—love hearing from them no matter what avenue—Facebook, email, Twitter. Without them I would have no idea if my words were doing what I intended them to do…move people. I engage them whenever I can and love doing so.

Do you cry when writing sad scenes?
Whatever emotions my characters feel, I feel. That’s just how immersed in their world I become.

Did you have a Cover Designer?
I depend on my publisher for my covers.

Who is your fictional boyfriend or girlfriend crush?
 I’m going with Gideon Cross.

If you were able to dine and have a one on one with your favorite writer/author who would it be?
I actually do dine with some of my favorite authors—Sidney Bristol, Becca Jameson. Let’s see though—I’d love to have drinks with Kresley Cole or JR Ward, ooohhh—Elizabeth Lowell! Yes!!

Do just re-read your favorite books? All the time.

.
Do you ever get in a reading slump like your readers do?
Because I spend so much time writing I don’t get to read as much as I like anymore. But yes, I do hit slumps.

What is the funniest book you ever read?

Tough question—Wallbanger by Alice Clayton is the most recent! Loved it.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Lea Griffith began sneaking to read her mother’s romance novels at a young age. She cut her teeth on the greats: McNaught, Woodiwiss, and Garwood. A firm believer that love makes the world go round, she still consumes every romance book she can put her hands on, but now she writes her own.

Lea lives with her husband and three teenage daughters in rural Georgia. Two dogs, a cat, and a Betta fish named Coddy George complete a family always in motion. When not working at the EDJ, she’s usually at her keyboard, using every spare second to write. Science fiction, paranormal and contemporary romance, oh my! Nothing is off-limits when it comes to her writing.
