Mylie Mier's life is overshadowed by tragedy and heartbreak.
She refuses to settle for Mr. Right Now and is holding out for her happily ever after. Then she meets Damien James.

Arriving in Pointe Hope was the pinnacle of Damien James' success.
He finally had everything he worked so hard for and life is going as planned--until he catches a predator attempting to defile a helpless victim. Mylie enters his life with the all the subtleness of a freight train.

Their connection is instantaneous but Damien is jaded and refuses to acknowledge his attraction. Though mesmerized, Mylie quickly realizes that her savior is a pretentious jerk. They fight their obvious connection, and Damien inadvertently pushes Mylie right into the arms of a sociopath.

Will Mylie live to see her happily ever after or will Damien's callousness force her to be destined to a life that is wrecked?

H.P. Landry is the author of the Pointe Hope Series: the gripping New Adult Romance series that allows you to experience tragedy and heartbreak as it follows the small town and their troubling lives in finding love.

H.P. Landry on her off time is the Family Director of her own version of a chaotic Brady-like family with her two children, and her partner’s two children. She began writing at a very young age that turned into obsession as an adult. The creative writer has been inspired by family and friends to write her compelling stories.

What would you have done differently if you were the main character of your book?

If I was Mylie, I would have chased the guy even if he was a jerk. I never take no for an answer.

What was your inspiration behind this book?

A book about hope and second chances. Ultimately, what would happen if you just try a little harder.

Why did you become a writer ?

I became a writer because the characters in my mind wanted their story to be told.

As a reader and writer I think it is important to get to know your fans and make a connection with them as an author who takes the extra step to hear what their fans think and want in their continued writing is continued success and key to selling more books .Do you agree with that ?

I believe that the fans are what make all of the difference of any book. They become so invested in your book or series that you can’t help but take their opinions to heart. I love when an idea of mine can actually inspire them to give their opinions and love to hear it always.

Do you have a favorite author or authors?

I have a plethora of favorite authors, but Rhonda R. Dennis, Michelle Leighton, and Amy Bartol to name a few...

Do you like to write your books in a continuing series?

I like to write a series that are the alternative point of view of the first book but also the continuation of the first book.

If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why?

I would have to say if I could date a character from any character it would have to be Brennus from Premonition Series by Amy Bartol because I love a bad boy and I would definitely would love to hear him say, “You’re Moin!” Swoon...

What kinds of books do you like to read in your spare time ?

I love all books and do not have a preference just as long as its a good book.

Do you cry  when writing sad scenes?

I do and I ugly cried in my paranormal romance book that is due out at the end of the year.

Did you have a Cover Designer ?

 Bookfabulous Designs.

Who is your fictional boyfriend or girlfriend crush?

Although you haven’t met him yet, my fictional boyfriend crush is Sebastian he will be in book four.

If you were able to dine and have a one on one with your favorite writer/author who would it be ?

This is so hard because I love these authors for two different reasons but its a toss up from Michelle Leighton and Rhonda R. Dennis. They are such good people that I cannot help but love them.

Do just re-read your favorite books ?

Absolutely! When I was in labor with my son I reread Breaking Dawn… yeah sad huh lol.

Do you ever get in a reading slump like your readers do ?

Yes I do. Sometimes life gets in the way and I don’t get my fix of books but when I get back to reading, I go full force!

What is the funniest book you ever read ?

Oh Gosh by far it has to be Diary of a Dieter by Marie Coulson! Hilarious!! I love Gran! She is awesome!!
