Three days a week I work your everyday nine-to-five. The paperwork is never-ending. The pay is mediocre, and the office drama is simply intolerable. But the other four days a week, I am my own boss.

My name is Jennifer Sunshine and I am a Vegas Call Girl.
My clients range from frat boys on spring break to multimillionaire business men with stuffy wives and less than ideal equipment.

I don’t have a daddy-complex or some kind of sob story.
I don’t need the money, but it is nice.
The only thing I crave is the exhilarating feeling I get from being in control of something. Anything.

My life is uncomplicated, simple even.
That was until he bulldozed his way into my life, and everything changed.
Overnight he makes me realize how much I truly need him.

Our Review

This is the story of Jenny Sunshine, a Bad-ass business woman, a Vegas Call Girl. A life she chose for herself. That is until she meets her match in Mathis. And I certainly can’t imagine waking up in Jennifer’s situation after a drunken night at Mathis’ club, but she sure does stand her ground with him lol.

“No Mathis listen to me,” I paused and lifted my head to make eye contact with him across the table. I felt weak and my demeanor changed. For some reason I felt as though I was about to hurt him, even though it was an absolutely foolish thought “I’m a call girl. I have sex with men like you, for large sums of money four days a week.” When I exhaled, I say and waited, watching a number of emotions run across his face. Mathis wore his heart on his sleeve. He may play the part of a badass but when we are alone, here in home, I could see it was all a facade.

“You what?” his voice was quiet. He set the cup of coffee onto the table, increased his legs and stood.

I should gear the altercation that was coming, because honestly I hate fighting. But for some ducked up reason I loves fighting with him.

His strides were quick and before I knew it, he was pulling me up from my chair into his arms. He held me right against his body without saying a word and we just stood there for what felt like an eternity in this simple embrace. I didn’t know how much time passed until he finally spoke.

I nod and let out a little grunt to acknowledge him.

“That is over now. Money is not an issue. I will do anything and everything to take care of you. You don’t need to have sex for money anymore.”

His words are like a slap to the face, but then again why should I expect him to understand my life. No one would.

“It isn’t about the money Mathis, it never was.” I pulled away and started walking toward the bedroom. If I get there quickly insight can lock myself in the bathroom and plan my getaway.

“Then tell me Jennifer. Please.” He stopped as I continues to walk away.

Do I answer him? Do I give him the satisfaction of knowing how much of an absolute whore I am? Do I really want him know how much I love sex, even though I don’t plan on having it with him? Ever.

“Mathis. It’s about the sex. But, you wouldn’t understand.”

I have to tell you I really love this “fight” that Jennifer and Mathis have. Internal battles and all. This story was just what I needed while sitting at a softball field for my daughters practice for 4 hours. LOL I was laughing one minute and down right mad the next. Not mad at these two but mad at the butt faces in the story but boy do I love that Jennifer, that girl sure can hold her own.

When Jennifer comes clean with who and what she is Mathis takes it in stride and says “NO MORE” instead of “GET OUT”. And when Mathis comes clean with his legal and “illegal” activities, well Jennifer takes that in stride and instead of running turns it into a business opportunity for herself. I so loved that. Talk about a business woman.

Now it would be very remiss of me to not mention the sex in here. Lets just say, a cooler full of ice cold bottles of water, the air conditioning in your vehicle, a cold shower will not cool off this book. WOW the sex scenes in this story are beyond sizzling. There is no lack of it between these two. Each one wanting to have the power over the other but then succumbing to the other. That push and pull thing they had going on made for some very steamy sex scenes.

Absolutely loved this story, and if you want to find out if past history comes back to destroy these two or if they come together and rise above and get their HEA, run on over and get your copy now because when I say it is worth it – IT IS WORTH IT!!!

“Yes. If that’s what is needed, then I will beat them all!” Mason’s body stiffened with determination and I could only imagine what his wolf was experiencing below the surface. Male werewolves were dominant and extremely territorial. I had no doubt Mason would fight to the death, as many times as he needed to, in order to keep me by his side.
“I am sure you would, young Alpha. But are you willing to have Darcy do that as well? Will you be able to watch her fight to the death? Is your pride worth the risk? Are you willing to test fate?”

Book Blitz for Forget Me Not by Stacey Nash with Giveaway

Title: Forget Me Not (Book I in the Collective series)
Author: Stacey Nash
Release Date: February 17, 2014
Publisher: Entranced Publishing, Rush
Genre: YA speculative fiction

Book blurb:
Since her mother vanished nine years ago, Anamae and her father have shared a quiet life. But when Anamae discovers a brooch identical to her mother's favorite pendant, she unknowingly invites a slew of trouble into their world. When the brooch and the pendant are worn together they're no longer pretty pieces of jewelry -- they're part of a highly developed technology capable of cloaking the human form. Triggering the jewelry's power attracts the attention of a secret society determined to confiscate the device -- and silence everyone who is aware of its existence. Anamae knows too much, and now she's Enemy Number One.

She's forced to leave her father behind when she's taken in by a group determined to keep her safe. Here Anamae searches for answers about this hidden world. With her father kidnapped and her own life on the line, Anamae must decide if saving her dad is worth risking her new friends’ lives. No matter what she does, somebody is going to get hurt.

Easing the door closed, I climb out of the attic and head to the bathroom to clean my dust-covered hands. Water rushes from the spout and splashes against the sides as the basin fills. A reflection of me stares back from the mirror, my dirty hand clutching my aching chest. Today everything feels so raw, open, and fresh, like it only just happened. Why isn’t she still here?

Rubbing my hands clean, I delve into my pocket for the jewelry. Bringing it to my collar, I pin it into my blouse and the hard edges of the brooch prick my skin. My thumb brushes over the smooth, round sides of the pendant and when I pull it over my head, the chain catches on my hair. After I twist it through the tangle so it finally falls cool against my skin, it nestles in the hollow of my throat. I pick it up between my fingers and with reverent slow strokes, rub my thumb over the shiny yellow center—the pendant Mom never took off.

A shiver shoots up my spine and out through my limbs like an electric current, zapping every cell, every fiber, every part of my being. Walking on graves, that’s what Mom would have said. Maybe it’s an omen about her.

I plant my palms on either side of the full basin and peer into the still water taking a moment to collect my thoughts. The water reflects only the cream ceiling. That can't be right. I do a double take and look again.

My chest tightens. I hold my hand up, but I can’t see it—not my arm, not my chewed fingernails, not my leather watch on my wrist. Where am I? Mouth gaping, I look into the mirror again, but I see nothing.

Not even my face.

I dip my finger into the warm, reflection-free water. Circles ripple in ever growing rings, but there’s no image. My gaze flits to the mirror, but I see only the open door. I have no reflection.

After a night of raw passion with the man Claire O’Briene had been secretly admiring for years, she thought their time together had come once and for all. Fate had finally brought them back to each other, but unfortunately nothing had changed. He was still the same man who ran away from relationships. Against his better judgment, Mason Bradley gave in to the temptation and allowed himself one night with the one woman he’d been too afraid to want … too afraid to need.

Six months after leaving Claire and regretting every minute of it, Mason gets called in for an undercover mission that’s not only dangerous, but brings back a past he spent years trying to forget. A past of fighting … of getting in the ring and using his fists to get what he wanted: money, women, and drugs. Now there are fighters turning up dead, and it’s Mason’s job to find out the truth.

Knowing he might not come out of the mission alive, Mason seeks out Claire to tell her how he truly feels, only to find another man competing for her love as well. Fighting is what he’s good at, and for once he will be fighting not only for justice … but for love.

Our Review
I didn’t realize how empty my life had been until you slammed the door on my heart. Right then and there I knew I screwed up whatever chance I had to get you back, but I also knew something else … something I couldn’t deny any longer.

You were meant for me and I was meant for you. If it’s a fight you want, it’s a fight you’re going to get. I will win you back.’ ~ Mason

Oh what a way to lead into a story. Mason is a North Carolina cop and an ex MMA fighter. One good looking man with almost no family save a cousin in California and her best friend Claire. And Mason has to fight for Claire in more ways than one in this fight for your life story.

Meant For Me is part of the “Second Chance” series by L.P. Dover. An absolutely gripping story. Murder, mystery, love, great sex scenes. There were moments I was yelling “HELLO WILL YOU GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR PATOOT” and then there were moments I was grabbing for the tissues only to turn around and start laughing. I didn’t want to put this book down and couldn’t wait to find out what happened next between Claire and Mason.

Mason is trying to win back Claire at the same time he is trying to find out who murdered a dear friend of his. Claire is trying to not let Mason back in “so easily” and help him with his mission. I have to say she is one strong woman, from running a winery to dating a famous football player, to being chased by a hot cop and former MMA fighter, to fighting off bad guys. One tough cookie.

Taking a seat on the bed, he placed his arms on both sides of me and leaned close so he could gaze into my eyes. “I want to be with you every single day, Claire. I want to make love to you and wake up to your smiling face for as long as I live. One day when we’re ready, I don’t care when it is, hell, it could be tomorrow for all I care, but I want you to be my wife. I love you so damn much it hurts. Before, all I’ve ever done is live for the job. I never even thought I would want a family of my own until you came and showed me what love could be like and how it felt. You’ve had me addicted ever since and now I want it all.”

OMG hello oh man, oh man, why can’t I find a dream guy like this, a cop, a fighter, a lover, and down right sexy. Oh I am so jealous. Mason does just what he says, he fights for Claire, through thre book he is fighting, for her heart, for her love and for her safety.

This book is energetic and full of action, suspense and love. What a great addition to the “Second Chances” series
