Her Dream Cowboy

Talked into experiencing ranch life for herself by her best friend, Sophie comes all the way from England to Nevada, alone. But while her friend may have abandoned her, her guide for the week promises to stick close to her side.

A guide who just happens to be an honest to goodness, sexy cowboy.

Luke Harper is a busy man. He’s dedicated years to turning his ranch into a successful holiday business. He’s yet to find a woman who can deal with the realities of dating a cowboy. In his experience, they’re all after a dream. But Sophie proves too tempting for her own good and Luke can’t help wondering if the gorgeous woman would be willing to give him a chance.

Or is she just looking for a dream cowboy too?

The Layover

Security officer and avowed city boy Reno Locke drops into The Meeting Place for a little loving to fill his off hours. Country boy Wilder Henderson swings through to blow off a little steam after winning a rodeo competition. Locke finally works up the nerve to hit on Wilder and Locke takes Wilder back to his room. He finds out this urban cowboy is just what he was looking for during The Layover.

Faith, Hope and Charity

True grit and humor accompany sex and cowboy clich├ęs in this adventurous western set in the New Mexico Territory. A young girl wants to run off with a sexy cowboy, but her daddy doesn’t approve. Not only that, but Daddy’s a Territorial Marshall who wants to kill poor Johnny for taking advantage of his daughter. With the chance of a fresh start and an interesting future, will love conquer all?

In the old west, a young couple have plotted a future rendezvous for any chance of a life together, if only poor Johnny isn’t gunned down first by Faith’s father who is out for the cowboy’s blood.

Johnny, a wrangler, and Faith, the apple of her mother and father’s eye, meet at a fiesta in a small New Mexico town. She’s different from any girl Johnny’s ever met, the kind of girl that tickles the thought of settling down. At a late night rendezvous, they reveal everything there is to know about each other, except for one ominous circumstance. Faith’s father is the Territorial Marshall and he doesn’t take kindly to what happened between the young couple along a riverbank. The Marshall sets out on a quest to make the young cowboy answer for his misdeeds and bring an end to this sudden, lovesick couple’s plans to reunite. While Johnny dodges the man in search of blood, a train awaits the couple if they are allowed to carry out their plan. But philosophies are bound to clash during the final showdown between generational attitudes.

Our Review

“Her Dream Cowboy” by Samantha Holt
“The Layover” by CV Madison
“Faith, Hope & Charity” by JT Seate

Raising my hand over here, can I please go on a week long trail ride with a hot stud of a cowboy like Luke. Oh man Sophie, I am so jealous, you are soooooo lucky. I think her friend bailing at the last minute was luck for sure!!!

Cassie has come from England to Nevada to a ranch for a week long trail ride. Her friend bailed at the last minute so she was in this on her own. Trying to get over a bad divorce and in need of a job. She wanted to find the carefree person she was before her marriage and life became a wreck. Out walks Luke - OMG he is the epitome of a cowboy - this man is fine (great job Samantha). Wow I think I was drooling at my desk reading Cassie describe the man before her.

The trail ride, yes oh, um, gee, well lets just say, besides snakes when you pee, beautiful scenery and sharing a tent with a gorgeous, hot, stud of a man, its your average, every day trail ride. Okay NOT - hello phew, can we say, never want the trail ride to end.

Of course what is a story without a bump in the road, or trail. Just when Luke and Cassie think they are going to both get what they want in the end (each other of course) in walks mister fancy pants in all his glory wanting Cassie back. That has Luke and well Cassie fuming.

This is a short story, it is a fast read, but the story line, the scenes, the sex, wowsers this was such a good book. Anyone who follows my blog knows I have read just about every single book by Samantha Holt. She is an amazing Historical Romance author. I love her style of writing and her stories. I mean who doesn’t love a sexy, hot, stud of a highlander. But this story, this is not a Historical Romance. Nope Samantha has stepped outside of those boundaries and wrote about an All American, hot and down right sexy Cowboy and OMG let me tell you I love me a good cowboy story.

Samantha sucked me right into the story, pulled me to the very edge and shoved me right off. And the ride was truly amazing. Fan-Frigging-Tastic Samantha!!. Right away I fell in love with Luke and Sophie and was cheering them on. I loved their story, I loved how he wanted her but also didn’t want to go against the rules he set for himself. But oh man am I ever glad that he did. That shower scene - holy wow - had me wanting to run and take a cold shower with him of course LOL. I don’t think the steam from that part of the story was from the hot water, I do believe it was from well, okay never mind, you all need to just get the book “Buckle Down” and read this story yourself.

The Layover us the second short story in this book. Written by CV Madison and is about a guy Locke who works for a security firm at a bar looking for a little company to keep him warm in the cold Chicago winter night. In comes a cowboy names Wilder.
I love a good erotica read but I am not into make on make action. But being that this is one of there stories in the Buckle Down book I forged ahead.

I will say the bar scene was actually rather funny. And the pick up line had me busting out loud. I did find this part of the story really good and being this is the first time I've read this author that was a plus for me.

I did however have a hard time with the hotel scene. I think the author did a really good job in the lead up, her description and details if the foreplay. But as I said this is not an area of the erotica genre I am into.

That being said I busted out at the "Ride a cowboy" statement. Oh and the bag of toys lol and Wilders comments as he's pulling things out.

Overall this was a really good book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

3.5 stars the only thing keeping me from a 4 is my discomfort level in this type of storyline

FAITH, HOPE & CHARITY by J.T. Seate - 4 Stars

This is the last short in the buckle down book. And again this is the first time I've read this author and I really enjoyed it. Absolutely fun read for me.

Young love is exactly what this is and the author did a great job. From the details of Johnny, who he is and what brought him to the town he was in and the moment he meets Faith. To the details of their "FIRST" encounter. Loved it..

Of course every young man should know never sleep worn the daughter of the law and thing everything will be ok. Johnny finds out quick Faith's father isn't one to mess with.

Hope ah yes that is what Johnny has. Hope he can out run one ticked off daddy even makes on horseback lol. Hope that the girl he loves will be there. Hope that it all works out.

Charity that is exactly what Faith's mother has for Johnny and her daughter. Without her I think things would've been different.
I loved the scene with Johnny on the run hiding out in a cabin on the run with the remains of a guy and him thinking the dead man might be coming back to life only instead it is a mouse lol

This was a really great first read for me and I am going to be looking for more books from this author for sure.

Our Review

Fallen From Grace - Leigh Songstad - 4.5 Stars.

What an amazing story of lies, deceit, threats, manipulation, secrets and love. What a combination you say, well you would be absolutely right. I have never read anything by this author before, but this book grabbed me from the start and I will be looking for more from Leigh Songstad.

‘Judas glanced over his shoulder at his father just before they exited through the doors. Jack dipped his head with an approving nod that condemned Judas. At twenty-four years of age, he’d just signed a deal with the devil.’

Judas is at his dads twisted beck and call. His mothers death held over his head haunting him. What he is forced to do has him hating himself. Then he meets Grace. She is engaged to a senator who is running for president and Ellis has marked and claimed Grace as his. I am sure from that you can tell trouble will be coming Judas’ way.

‘Something was there-between them-but Grace didn’t know what it was because she never felt anything like it in her life. It was warm, was alive.’

Grace knew something was right between her and Judas, but will she toss caution to the wind, risk everything, and I mean EVERYTHING to be with him? I know I was cheering for her to make that choice. If she didn’t I certainly would claim Judas for myself. That man is downright sinfully sexy.

‘Grace had never wanted to wipe someone off this earth, but she felt a passionate hate toward Jack Woods. “You’ve never been able to hear this Judas, but I want you to hear it over and over again.” His gaze met hers. “Her death was not your fault. When someone’s time is up, it’s just time. I believe God has his plan for everyone, and your present circumstances are the result of his past decisions. You are where you are right now because it’s where God wants you to be.”’

And finally Judas begins to find peace, but is it too little too late? I was praying that it wasn’t. But Ellis is a dirty, no good politician (aren’t they all though lol) bent on taking Judas down.

I was on the edge the entire read. This book is intense, it is strong, and I absolutely loved Grace and Judas as much as I loathed Jack and Ellis. The author does an amazing job building her characters, pulling you into their lives, ripping open your heart so you can feel exactly what they are feeling. The story line was excellent and its not one of those oh I can tell you what is going to happen because every time I thought I could get it she threw in a surprise.

Baseball season begins and the separation puts Reed and Jaycee’s game on hold. With bases loaded and hearts on the line, will Reed convince Jaycee that she needs him to win or will Jaycee strike out and walk off the field forever?

This New Adult book is intended for mature audiences.

Our Review

First let me say I have never read anything from this author before, and I was given this book for the book tour and an honest review. – That being said – OMG she is being added to my favorite authors list off this book alone.

Jaycee takes care of her younger brother and little sister and they are barely making ends meet and decides to do something stupid in the name of helping her family. But she gets caught only not by the law and the outcome is well not what I was expecting and the one who catches her is none other than a big time baseball player.

Now my daughter is big time into softball so you know any type of softball/baseball story is going to peak my interest so I was willing and ready to read this book. And I am so glad I did. The constant strong willed, hard hardheadedness of Jaycee and the persistent, sexy, unnerving will of Reed had me not wanting my work breaks to end, wanting to stay up all night to finish reading this book. My emotions went from sadness for Jaycee and all she has been through to outright bursts of laughter and looking to see if the men with white jackets were coming for me.

Holly really knows how to bring her characters to life and draw you into the story and keep you interested. I found no lack of story here and absolutely no lag or down time. At no time did I want to put this book down. I was craving to read more with each turn of the page. I fell in love with Jaycee Shumway and her younger brother and sister. My heart went out to them, not for what life had handed them, but for how strong they were despite it. For how proud they stood, and how hard they fought each day. And Reed what can I say about him. OMG besides the man being down right hot, the man has such an amazing heart and it is real, it isn’t for show, it isn’t for name, its for real - for love.

I was so happy with the outcome for Reed and Jaycee - but what really pulled my heart strings is what Reed does with Jon and Bitsy. I was so moved by that. Absolutely fabulous!!!

So with that I have to tell you - go right now - do not wait any longer - get your copy & start reading this book now - you will so fall in love with Jaycee, Jon, Bitsy & Reed.

Blog Tour for Trailer Park Princess by Delia Steele

Add to GR

Rory used to count down the days until she could leave, but now with a younger brother in tow, it would be hard. She could never leave him. Rory is trapped in the Trailer Park like a princess in her tower, with her mother playing the big bad, drunken, fire-breathing dragon.  The dream of her knight coming to save her faded away about the same time her goals changed. Feeling useless, and angry Rory starts her new school and gets trampled by none other than the Monroe Falls Golden Boy, Tobias West. She finds herself seeing him as the knight she dreamed  of; though, she believes it to be just that, a dream.

Tobias (Toby) is Mr.  Popular/ Mr. Perfect/ Mr. Money-in-the-bank. He is too high on the social ladder  to step down to her level. Or is he?  Toby is smitten with Rory. Toby’s ex, Ashley, refuses to lose out to trailer park  trash, and Rory finds herself the fuel to Ashley’s newfound hate. On top of  Monroe Falls High School drama, Rory still has to deal with her drunken mother  and needy brother. She doesn’t have time for childish games.

Reality hits Rory  hard when her mother brings home a ticking time bomb for a bed mate and the need for that shiny knight becomes real.  Rome appears like she conjured him out of thin air with magical powers, and instantly becomes her best friend. He seems to always be around when she needs someone to talk to and seems to always know just how to fix it. (Did I mention he is drop dead beautiful?) Two knights in shining armor? Nope!! That doesn’t happen. Not in fairy tales, and definitely not in real life.
Rory finds herself realizing there is a thin line between relationships and friendships, lines that are starting to blur. With Toby getting ready to leave for college, Ashley’s nonstop meanness, and Rome showing up, can Rory handle the pressure? Her old friend reality takes another whack at her, causing her dread and despair to take over. Rory is questioning herself, and it’s wreaking havoc on the strong girl she’s always considered herself to be. Have her poor choices doomed her to life in the trailer park, or will she be able to exceed even her own expectations?  Will she ever realize she is truly a princess worthy of getting her prince? Or will she simply survive? How does Rory’s story end?

This book is suited best for readers over the age of 17 due to sexual content and some language, as well as a few different types of abuse that are rarely talked about: Verbal, Mental, and to some extent, Sexual and Physical.

Princess, you gave away the golden key to the court jester, huh?” He lets out a
sad, pitiful laugh and looks up at me. I swear I see his eyes water up. Taking

mean I really hated it.” He puts his hand on my knee.

my best friend, and I want to be here for you.” I lay my hand over his.

just not.” We stay like that a while, and I think he’s letting it go.
you don’t have to tell me, but I still need to know it wasn’t forced. He didn’t
force you, did he?” I shake my head no, but I never look at him. He stands up,
and I can see him flexing his fist.
be back in a few. Gonna grab the boys from Mrs. Crazy and bring them here. They
can crash in there with Mr. Drunkard tonight. Mando will be here in a few, and
she’s bringing over bowling and her Wii.” He smiles and walks out the door.

My name is Delia Steele. I am 30 years old and reside in Tupelo, Mississippi. I have been here my whole life, minus the year stint I took to be a beach bum in Destin, Florida. I am happily married to the love of my life, and we have two wild and crazy kids. I do have a dog, but I am not a fan of him AT ALL. That little wiener isn’t good for anything except yapping. I am more of a ferret kind of girl. I have a full-time job and a part-time job outside of writing. My words are more of a hobby for me. I enjoy writing, and it calms the voices in my head. My highest education comes from a Job-corp Facility and my major was NOT English. I was more about learning to rebuild cars back then. All of my books have meaning, and it usually revolves around accepting people for who they are, not who you want them to be. I usually write about strong females, with a supportive Adonis on the side! If I had to pick five words to describe me, they would be in no order: honest, loud, eclectic, extreme, and obsessive. I believe we should all live like we are dying, and if we do something stupid, we should write about it!
Not sure, what else to tell you but if you want to know something, just
