For a chance to save his daughter, he’ll do whatever it takes…

Sebastian Voss has spent the last three years fighting for custody of the little girl who means everything to him. Between a narcissistic ex-wife, her new fiancé, and a steady stream of damaging headlines painting him as the NHL’s favorite womanizing disaster, Sebastian is running out of options.

Then he lands on one reckless, desperate solution. He needs a wife.

Kat Morrison should be the last woman he asks. He barely knows anything about her except for her storm-gray eyes, freckles, and captivating aura.

But Sebastian has been gone for her since the moment they met, and if marrying Kat gives him a better chance at keeping his daughter safe, he’ll risk everything.

Even his heart.

Kat knows saying yes is a mistake.

Not because she doesn’t love him.

Because she does.

For three years, she’s been forced to write the lies that have damaged Sebastian’s reputation and cost him chance after chance in court. Blackmailed into obedience to save her brother’s life, Kat has become the weapon aimed straight at the only man who’s ever made her feel safe.

Now she’s living in his house, wearing his ring, loving his daughter, and falling deeper for the family she was supposed to help destroy.

But the closer Sebastian and Kat get, the harder it becomes to tell where the lie ends and forever begins.

And when the truth finally comes out, Sebastian could lose more than custody of his daughter.

He could lose the woman he’s loved all along.

Eden Sloane believes the best love stories aren't about perfect people. They're about imperfect people who keep choosing each other, even after the truth changes everything.

She writes emotionally charged contemporary romance featuring devoted heroes, resilient heroines, impossible choices, and love worth risking everything for. Her stories celebrate the courage it takes to love completely.

When she's not plotting emotional damage (followed by well-earned happily ever afters), Eden can usually be found gardening, trying to win an ongoing battle with the weeds in her yard, drinking far too much caffeine, enjoying a nightcap while watching BBC crime dramas with her husband, and keeping tabs on her four children.

And if you're reading this during the winter, please send warm thoughts. Eden is somewhere in the Midwest, questioning every life choice that led her to a place where the air hurts her face.

There are worse things than being stuck alone in a cabin with a hot as sin firefighter who’s good with his hands. A lot worse . . . This should be fun.

Agreeing to help Brandon Culver recover from his injury seemed harmless enough.

Sure, he’s a firefighter and Mountain Laurel Cove’s most eligible bachelor. But I’m too busy focusing on my nursing career to be distracted by a handsome face.

Unfortunately, Brandon is a lot more than a great face.

He’s steady. Dependable. He’s the kind of man who remembers the little things and shows up when it matters. His easy confidence is comforting. His quiet strength makes me feel safe. And the way he looks at me makes me question everything I thought I wanted.

But I’m in his home to care for him, not fall for him.

One tiny slip could ruin all the plans I’ve meticulously made for my life. Romance is a fool’s game and if I’m anything, I’m level-headed. Until his heated gaze and lingering touch threaten to turn the electricity between us into a five-alarm fire.

If I’m not careful, I might be the one getting burned.

This is Autumn and Brandon's story, featuring a nurse and a firefighter with partial amnesia. This was a quick, fun read with cozy fall vibes throughout, and we read it in one sitting. We found ourselves smiling throughout the entire story. Brandon is a sweetheart of a character, charming and kind, and we loved his teasing ways; he was such a flirt. Autumn is a kind, generous woman; she truly cared about people and had a wicked sense of humor. Both of them had wonderful families; some were still with her, while others were gone, and she still misses them deeply. Both characters have a connected past and were very close once upon a time, and then they weren't, but fate has given them a chance once again to work through all those heartbreaking feelings and start anew, as Brandon has no memory of what they were to each other once upon a time. The characters were great, especially Dolly; she shakes things up and makes you laugh. Getting to know Brandon and Autumn, their history, and them exploring new feelings while they reconsiled with the past felt genuine and heartfelt. Overall, this was a pleasant, enjoyable read, and at the end we were trying to keep the tears at bay. The chemistry between Autumn and Brandon was truly beautiful and passionate, and they made a beautiful couple; one day they will make a beautiful family. The amensia part of the plot was a nice touch, as you got to see a couple who meant a lot to one another all over again, all the while healing both characters mentally and physically.

Release Blast for Promise of Punishment by Tara Gallina

Wes
They say monsters are made, not born.
They’re right.

Cruelty came from my father. Survival came from the girl who healed me when I was meant to die. She was a glimmer in the darkness, then she betrayed me. Or so I was told.

Now she’s standing in front of me, a grown woman with haunted eyes and a hatred for me I don’t understand.

She doesn’t know I’m the man behind the mask, bringing her desires to life. She doesn’t know I own her world.

I was once saved by an angel, and I failed her. This time, I’ll keep my promise and reveal who I truly am.
Even if it makes her hate me more.

Lizzy
One reckless night. One unforgettable taste of him.
The moment I broke my rules and gave in, I knew I was playing with fire. His smoldering cerulean eyes and the way he whispered my name? Irresistible. He didn’t want forever—but I needed more.
Now, he’s back, acting like the boyfriend dreams are made of. Sweet. Attentive. Protective. Maybe even ready to love me the way I crave.
But how do I trust a man who’s made walking away into an art form?

Is a second chance worth the burn?

Josh
I left her. Not because I didn’t want her—but because I wanted her too much.
Marriage. Kids. The white picket fence. I told myself I couldn’t be that man… because I’m my father’s son. And he broke my mother in ways I can never forget.

So I let Lizzy go.

But fate had other plans. Now I’m here, ready to fight for her, to protect what’s mine—with teeth, fists, and fury if I have to.
She says she doesn’t trust me.

But I’ll prove it—one kiss, one promise, one heated night at a time

“Jesus, darlin’, what the hell did you do to me?” Josh says, lying beside me in bed, completely satisfied after our sex marathon.

“I could say the same thing, blue eyes,” I say, glancing over at him and seeing an evil glint in his eye. That look has one meaning right now. I barely finish the thought before his lips devour mine, then trail down my neck and back to my mouth like he can’t make up his mind where he wants his lips.

“Why can’t I ever get enough of you?” he moans between kisses.

I pull him closer so I can wrap my legs around his waist, wanting him back inside me as quickly as possible. It’s besides the fact that we just finished round four in less than twenty-four hours.

I feel the same way he does—I can’t get enough of him either, which is why I need to talk to him about our relationship and where it’s going. I know he doesn’t do long-term relationships, but we’ve been together on and off for years. I know he doesn’t have anyone else when we’re off—thanks to Dee’s big mouth for that tidbit.

“Darlin’, stop thinking and start feeling,” he says, moving his mouth down my chest, teasing me by kissing all around my breast but not pulling my nipple in his mouth.

I moan, “Fuck, Josh.”

“That’s what I want you to do,” he whispers before pulling my nipple into his mouth, causing me to lift off the bed. I swear he could make me orgasm just from playing and sucking on my breasts. I grip the sheets to stabilize myself, even though he’s going to do something else to make my body jump and tingle. The man never disappoints in the bedroom.

His accent deepens the more he’s turned on. “I need to taste you,” he says, moving farther down my body, dropping open-mouth kisses along the way.

“Y-you did that already,” I stutter, barely able to talk since my body is throbbing for release.

“That was yesterday. It’s 1:02 a.m. A new day.” He lightly brushes his tongue along the length of my pussy and moans, “Best fucking breakfast.”

Whimpering, I call his name again to encourage him to quit stalling and give me my damn orgasm. I can feel it starting to build already. Of course, he does all kinds of things right with his tongue. I feel his fingers enter me while he sucks on that bundle of nerves, completely setting me off.

“We’re just gettin' started, darlin’.” He grabs a condom off the nightstand and rolls it on.

He’s everywhere. His lips. His hands. His weight enveloping me. I absorb every bit of him. Relish him. Those shimmering blue eyes lock with mine while he moves inside me. I feel him clear down to the depths of my soul. I don’t know how long we gaze into each other’s eyes or how long we’re wrapped in each other. I don’t care either. This is a moment I want to freeze and relive again and again.

He breaks our gaze by kissing my neck and moaning my name as I wrap my legs around his, pulling him closer. With each roll of his hips, I climb higher and higher as I dig my fingers deeper into his glorious back muscles.

I moan, “Josh, kiss me.”

His lips are on mine in seconds, languidly moving in sync with mine. Our kiss quickly turns desperate and rough, like we’re both grasping for more. Lord, I need more from him. All of him. His kindness. Those caring blue eyes on me. Watching me. That sexy smirk. His concern and support. His flirtations. His strength. His open heart—loving and completely unguarded.

“Darlin’, catch up with me,” he says, leaning his forehead on mine. Those cerulean eyes are filled with love, begging me. He shifts my hips, shooting me straight to the stars.

“Oh fuuuuccccckk, Josh,” I scream, pushing my hips into him while the rest of my body tightens and flies at the same time.

“That’s it, darlin’, tighten around my dick,” he breathes into my neck before his arms grip me and his hips still. We lay still, breathing each other in.

“Is it sad that I don’t want to move? I want to stay in this moment for as long as I can,” he whispers, running his nose along my jaw.

I graze my fingertips graze down his back, causing goosebumps to appear. I respond, “I feel the same.”

Sadness fills his eyes. He gives me a quick peck on the lips before making his way to the bathroom. When he comes out, I hop up so I can pee and clean up.

When I come out, I watch Josh lying on the bed with the sheet covering his lower body and one arm beside him while the other is across our pillows. His eyes are closed, but I doubt he’s actually sleeping. A satisfied smile crosses his face as he says, “Get your ass in this bed with me instead of ogling me.” He doesn’t have to tell me twice.

Life feels pretty damn perfect. The man of my dreams is holding me after hours of marathon sex. I want—no, need—this every day of my life. This bliss.

I snuggle closer as he squeezes me and places a kiss on my head. I hum and, without thought, say, “This should be our forever. I never want to leave your arms.”
