This story turned out to be one of my top favorite reads for 2020. It has been quite a while since a story had affected me emotionally and one I could relate to. We loved everything about this heart wrenching emotional tale that had a cast of amazing characters that you could not help but fall in love with.

My heart hurt for all these characters and all the things that they had to endure but, through all that heartache there was always love.

Jude was my favorite in this story could you imagine yourself being loved and protected by him? I loved how he loved and protected Lila since she was nine years old. Their romance was like a fairy tale in a lot of ways but, like anything worth having in life, there are always some bumps in the road along with some twists and turns but, though it all there was still a love that would last a lifetime.

Lila was an awesome character who like a bit of an adventure growing up and would do anything on a dare to prove she was just as good at something as any boy and her closest friends were Brody and Jude who was always at her side thick as thieves until another tragic moment turned the tables on them once again.

Brody was one of those characters that were always broody and moody but, you would not help but be drawn to and the pain he always seemed to be in. The man never let you see what was beneath the surface but, we knew that he loved Jude and Lila and cared deeply for them both even if he didn't show it.

This story was one emotional tale that tugged at one's heartstrings throughout the entire story and at one point I could help but let the tears fall. We loved how the story started out and the author took us back in time and showed us how it all began for Lila and Jude and Brody a bond between them that would last a lifetime.

Overall we loved this story from beginning to end and everything in between the story made you believe in life mates, love, and happily ever afters but, most of all that life can be messy and hard, and love alone sometimes can't always fix those broken things sometimes they need to take a journey of their own before being reunited once again with those you love. A story that was filled with friendship, love, tragedy, pain, suffering, and hope, and second chances. Jude was one of those characters that were easy to bond with because he was just an amazing young man who loves a girl wholeheartedly and new from the moment they met she would be his one and only and one who did everything and everything to protect and love even in the end it had to be from himself. You really wanted to hate him at times but, we just couldn't because his decisions whether good or bad were always in the name of love and to top it off this story had a couple of twists that we never saw coming...

 This was an awesome read for us and we loved it from beginning to end and everything in between.

This story was heart felt and emotional and one of those slow burn romance reads with and older guy in love\lust with a younger women but, with one major complication he used to be in love with his sister or thought he was .

We loved Dylan already from Wilder Love with his sister Remy the man was just a boy and one that was so strong and determined and so broken but, no matter what age he was and no matter what he had to do he would do anything to see what he considered his was provided for and taken care of.I loved the growth we saw from Dylan this time around although still broken in a lot of ways he made some of his dreams come true and was becoming a little less broken every time he spent with Scarlett. 

Scarlett was the rebel of her family and planned to live her life on her own terms.We found Scarlett to be strong ,independent,beautiful on the inside as well as out but, her one weakness was never putting herself first.We loved how she always believed in Dylan when others never did all they saw was a punk from the wrong side of the tracks what Scarlett saw was what was below the surface the good along with the bad.

The chemistry between Dylan and Scarlett was scorching.These two who  came from totally different backgrounds fit perfectly together. I loved the story and how this couples journey was wrought with tons of things stacked against them but, Dylan was determined to beat the odds and claim the one thing that would complete his own happiness. I loved the broken bad boy he made my heart just melt when it came to loving and taking care of the people he loved most in this world. Dylan with little Kai melted my heart each and every time and had me wishing that Dylan would someday have everything that his twin sister had because he deserved it for all the sacrifices he made in life in the sake of family.

This was one heart felt tale that tugged at ones heart strings but, also was one of hope ,healing,forgiveness and family.

This is a fairly new author too us but, the books that we have ready by her have been both amazing and we are looking forward to seeing what this author creates for us.

You didn’t get a body like Dylan’s by sitting around on your ass. “but you still smoke?” “It’s all about balance.” I laughed. He took a drag of his cigarette, his eyes narrowed, the little lines around his eyes crinkling. He could even make smoking look sexy. But then, Dylan could make just about anything look sexy. Feeling bold, I plucked the cigarette out of his mouth and claimed it as my own. He scowled. “You’re not a smoker.” I took a drag and tipped back my head, blowing the smoke into the cold night air. “I know. But I know how to do it now without coughing up a lung.” “That’s a shame,” he said, extracting a cigarette for himself. Cupping his tattooed hand over the tip, he flicked his Zippo and took a drag, the cherry glow burning brighter as he inhaled.   We sat side by side on the tailgate, smoking our cigarettes, and the undercurrent of electricity I’d always felt around him was still there. I knew it was just a chemical reaction, a trick my body played on me whenever he was near, but I wished my brain would send a signal to make it stop. “You don’t talk as much as you used to,” he observed after moments of silence ticked by. “I thought you’d appreciate the peace and quiet.” “I never minded it when you talked.” I laughed. “Could have fooled me. You told me you didn’t have time for my teen drama and shit.” He took another drag of his cigarette, blowing the smoke out of the side of his mouth and huffed out a laugh before he spoke. “You remember that.” “Why do you think I stopped texting? You injured my pride.” It had been more than my pride. Those words had hurt my foolish teenage heart far more than they should have. But he didn’t need to know that I’d cried over him. I opened the plastic lid of my shake and tossed the cigarette into the cup, the dregs of the milkshake dousing the fire and making it sizzle. Replacing the lid, I tossed the cup in one of the takeout bags and leaned back on my hands, watching the lights in the canyon. He gave me a sidelong glance. “Funny. I used to have a hoodie just like that.” He smirked. I stifled a groan. What were the chances I’d be wearing his UC San Diego hoodie tonight? The same hoodie he’d given me the night I snuck in to watch his underground fight. I took it off and tried to give it back to him. He waved it off. “Keep it. You ruined your sweater for me.” “You were bleeding. What else was I supposed to do?” “Not ruin your sweater.” “You got in that fight because of me.” “I wanted to kill those assholes for messing with you.” He’d gotten into a fight over me, after beating his opponent in the underground fight. I remembered thinking that nobody had ever fought for me before. That was the night I’d fallen in love with Dylan St. Clair, a few weeks shy of my sixteenth birthday. It was also the night I realized that he would never be mine and I needed to forget him. As he crushed his cigarette under the sole of his high top, his eyes were on my face. It felt like he was seeing me for the first time. His hooded gaze lowered to my mouth and I licked my bottom lip at the same time he did. Then he shook his head and strode away. “Let’s go. I’ve got shit to do.” And just like that, I was fifteen again.
