Review for UNRAVELING MACK RYDER by Anna Brooks

She was the complete opposite of me in every way; sweet, spontaneous, and full of sunshine… she was also half my age.

The world was her playground, and Nova Skye spent every breath fearlessly exploring it. Her passion for adventure was contrary to the solitude I loved, yet somehow, I couldn’t get enough.

Her innocence sparked a flame in my empty soul, burning down every defense I had. By the time I started to believe in the us she said we could be, it was too late. My free-spirited rebel was gone, taking what was left of me with her.

Without her, I learned that home wasn’t just a place, it was Nova… and it was finally time to come home.

We had mixed feelings about this one, but, we still loved it overall. We loved the characters, even Mack, even though we wanted to give him a good smack upside the head now and again. Loved Mack's family, his kids were awesome, loving and supportive. Nova what a beautiful girl inside and out, full of so much life she took chances lived her life to the fullest. She lived a colorful life that made things even more interesting. 

Mack's back and forth with Nova just got and my nerves with all the push and pull. Nova, regardless of her age, was a risk-taker but, she knew her own mind and could make sound decisions when it came to her life in general as well as her love life, and we hated the pain Mack caused her because he couldn't get his sh** together. At some point, we were wishing she gave up on the grump.

Nova, was awesome, it was great to live vicariously through her with all her adventures. Mack was a good father and hard worker and overall a great guy, just emotionally he was a wreck his ex/wife might have something to do with it but, it was Mack who needed to let go of the past and move forward. At some point, you sympathize with him about his and Nova's age difference and his worries, but, not once did I feel Nova gave a fig about it and neither did anyone else it was all about what made this couple happy. No one is guaranteed tomorrow, so grab hold of happiness when it's right in your face.

Overall, we loved the ending and Nova's moms sound advice loved how Nova didn't settle and how she chose to live her life on her terms, even heartbroken she pursued her dreams. Nova figured out how to have the best of both worlds, and we loved that the most about her. Mack Nova will always keep you young in mind and spirit. It's never too late to find love and in finding Nova, Mack found the peace and happiness he rightly deserved...

Book Review for for HINDER by Anna Brooks

I was jaded and bitter after the worst kind of betrayal, so the last thing on my mind was love… until her.
My job was to keep her safe, but I wanted to be more than just her protector. I wanted to be her forever, but she only needed me temporarily. When it was time to leave, I could do nothing but walk away and hope she would follow.
I didn’t see her again until months later, when she showed up at my door with blood on her hands. And because I was still in love with her, I risked everything to clear her name… even though I wasn’t sure she was as innocent as she claimed to be.

This was an enjoyable read and loved the characters. This story was all about instant connection between characters infused with mystery and suspense and a character like Nikki who made you laugh with her boldness and vibrant personality.

We thought Foster was a sweetheart and loved that he was full of patience and kindness, and he needed a lot of patience if he was ever going to lock that furiously independent Philly like Nikki down.

Sometimes it's all about timing and for couples, and that sums it up for this couple. Nikki may have been running from her past and her feelings when it came to Foster, but, the one man she trusted above all else to keep her safe when she was in trouble was the man she was running from but, not to.

Tons of chemistry between these two characters, loved how they fit and that they made an awesome couple. Overall, a really cute story that had a great cast of characters, full of hot alpha men and a plot we really enjoyed. Loving this series.

Release for FOCUS by Anna Brooks

She was my sister’s best friend until tragedy struck, then she became my world. I wanted to stay with her and build a life together, but the pain from our past made a future impossible. 

While she ran away from the memories and rose to fame, I left on a mission to seek vengeance. Then a call came that changed everything and our worlds collided once again, but this time, there was no going back. 

This was a cute story that we really enjoyed. The characters were engaging and fun. This was a friends to lovers romance full of complications including lies & deceits and full of more than a few surprises.

We are going to use the characters nicknames for the purpose of the review as both characters constantly used their nicknames when addressing or talking to one another, so we have to say that we loved Pip and Bear's story. After learning what we did during this story we are so glad that they had found their way back to one another as in the coming days they would need each other more than ever. With so much success we love that Pip had, remained a down to earth, and we loved that about her.

Bear was an awesome character, we loved everything about him, smart and excellent at his job and will do anything to bring the man to justice who dared to scare and harm his woman even when he and Pip were not together in that way, yet he always considered her his.

This story started out with a heartbreaking start but, as much heartache and pain the story both characters experienced, there were also several blessings to grace the couple as well.

The story had the perfect mix of romance & suspense. What we loved most about the story, as they didn't let the actions of others rob them from the future they may have with one another.
