Blog Tour for The Man from Sanctum by Lexi Blake

A painful past
An unexpected reunion
A dangerous future

The Man From Sanctum, an all-new must-read standalone romance in the suspenseful Masters and Mercenaries: Reloaded Series from New York Times bestselling author Lexi Blake is available now!

A painful past

Deke Murphy and Maddie Hall should never have worked as a couple in high school. She was the class valedictorian and he the jock who took nothing seriously…except her. Together they formed an amazing team, and young love blossomed into something that strengthened them both. Until tragedy struck and Deke made a sacrifice that split them up forever.

An unexpected reunion

Seventeen years later, Maddie is living her dream working for a brilliant tech guru in the beauty of Southern California. She’s made a life for herself and it’s first class all the way. She rarely thinks of the jock who dumped her all those years ago. But when Maddie realizes her boss might be part of an international conspiracy, she can’t deny Deke might be her best bet to solve the mystery. Her one-time sweetheart works for one of the world’s premiere security and investigative firms. She’ll hire him and prove to herself their relationship could never have worked.

A dangerous future

As Maddie and Deke begin to uncover her boss’s secrets, they can’t deny the chemistry that has reignited. But before they can explore the connection growing between them, they must survive the deadly forces hunting them down.

Awesome story, loved it from cover to cover! The characters were also awesome, loved that they were fun and could have fun with one another, loved how the team worked together and how on a mission they could be deadly. For us, this story had non-stop suspense mixed in with the BDSM aspect of the couple involved in a DOM/Sub relationship. The story concentrated on Deke and Maddie but, MayBe and Kyle were a big part of the story too as we are starting to believe MayBe is at the point where it's sh** or get off the pot kind of thing between her and Kyle. Loved Deke it was so easy to love his character he was just a sweetheart although maybe still a bit broken but, he has come of long way from his military days. We loved the fact that he not only had one awesome family to help him heal, he had another with the Taggart/McKay clan. Loved the star crossed lover feel the book gave off. Found it sweet that after all these years he only found one woman that had touched his heart. Loved the chemistry between himself and Maddie and although it may have felt awkward at times, there was always that fire and sizzle that rested below the surface. Maddie was smart and sexy and a woman who knows her worth but, somewhere along the line of achieving her goals, she lost that side of her of living life and having a life outside of work but, if one, man can remind her that there is more to life than work it would be Deke. For us, this was just a page turner, Deke and Maddie we felt were perfect for one another, and we were rooting for them from the very being in hopes they could put the past behind them and start a new. We have a feeling going forward, we are going to see a whole new MayBe. The story had tons of mystery and suspense and some hot and sexy times. For us, one thing that we like to point out that the characters that make up Taggart/McKay as a whole are part of each and every story and that is what makes this current story and the series so awesome the characters are so engaging and fun and full of mystery and danger, and they all carry so many secrets yet, they have become this large happy family that has no problem being matchmakers or being in everyone's business its cute and funny seeing these ex spies and ex military members put their two sense in.

Blog Tour for And Hell Followed by Beckett Riley

Title: And Hell Followed
Author: Beckett Riley
Genre: Dark Romance, Historical Hidden Romance
Release Date: October 26, 2021

We all have our demons

My parents thought emigrating from Germany to the American frontier was going to be a good thing for everyone. But it seems that a darkness is doomed to follow us wherever we go.

Life can be harsh and unforgiving in this world, especially for a woman. Luckily, I have my brother, Thomas, to watch out for me and protect me. He can only do so much, though, and after that vile attack, I find myself in need of his protection more than ever. It was then I realized that festering darkness came from within.

Although society won’t take kindly to it, we have forsaken God and embarked on an unholy life, but just as things finally began to calm down, the past reared its ugly head and came back to tear us apart and destroy and everything we’ve built.

But as Thomas once told me, I would ride my steed through the fires of hell to salvage the only thing worth living for, and if the devil gets in my way, he will beg to God for mercy.

We will be free.

EXCERPT:

I cross my arms over my chest, and my stomach flips. Is she going to fess up about lunch with Dean today? Do I want to hear this? I haven’t heard from Dean since last night. He made his intentions clear, but I didn’t.

“Okay, what do you want to talk about?” I ask around the dread settling in my gut.

She takes a deep breath. “I had lunch with Dean today. It was…weird.” And there it is.

“You did?” I ask, as if I didn’t already know. “Why’d you do that?”

Her brows slam together. “We were close a long time ago. I haven’t seen him in years. You already know that. It was just us…catching up.”

I feel anger coursing through my veins. “So you say.” I can feel the muscles working in my jaw.

“Sterling, why would I lie to you? You know my secrets.” She closes the distance to where I’m leaning on the counter. She reaches out to put her hand on my face, but I turn away.

She pulls back like I burned her. “Don’t do that, Sterling.” I didn’t mean to react that way. I’m just so angry and jealous, even a little scared. I don’t want her near Dean. I want her with me. I want him to know that she’s mine.

“Do what, Ivie? I don’t know how I’m supposed to react to you spending time with your ex-boyfriend. If there’s a certain way I need to act about this, please tell me.”

She bites her bottom lip like she does when she gets nervous. “He asked me if I was seeing anyone. I didn’t know how to answer him. What are we doing? Are we a thing? Was the other night a fling?”

I blow out a frustrated breath. “What did you tell him?” She looks at me, wide-eyed. “Nothing. I told him things were complicated. Because that’s how they feel right now. That’s all I said. I didn’t want to assume this was something it might not be without talking to you.”

I lift my cap and run my hand through my hair. “Ivie, what do you want from me? He’s been my best friend for years. None of us are kids in high school anymore, and I thought you knew how I felt. But if it’s complicated, I don’t know what to tell you.”

She backs up. “What are you saying, Sterling?”

“I’m saying I think you know how I feel about you, and if you don’t, you should. I’m saying I can’t tell you how to feel or what to do. You’re the only one who knows what you want and how you feel. But I can tell you this.” I walk right up to her and grab her hand and put it flat on my chest over my heart. “This, my heart, belongs to you. And only you. It has for a long time now.”

She lets a tear fall down her cheek as her fingers splay on my chest, feeling my heartbeat underneath. “And Ivie, I didn’t fight for you before. I stood on the sidelines and let you go. I can’t do that again. I won’t. My heart can’t take it. Having you back here made me realize that. So, whatever you’re going to do or decide, don’t wait too long. I can’t handle not knowing where we stand.” I brush a kiss over her lips and wipe away her silent tears. “I’m getting in the shower. You can stay, or if you need to leave, I understand.” I walk away and leave her in my kitchen speechless.

Sitting on the top of the picnic table, her legs perched on the seat, was a woman, her red hair in a messy bun on her head, a tank top that gave him more than a tantalizing glimpse of tanned skin, and a pair of worn, painted-on jeans that left little to the imagination. The chick was smoking hot, and his dormant hormones stood up and noticed though, as the sheriff, ogling women was not in the handbook, except under things that triggered disciplinary procedures and dismissals. It would suck if he had to cite himself for violations. And he would do it. Those were the rules, after all.

Her eyes widened when she saw him and she slid from the table, walking toward him with a loose-limbed gait, her hips swaying a little as she moved. He steeled himself against his body’s reaction and cursed small-town life where the sheriff had no privacy to date, find a one-night stand, or even a friends-with-benefits situation to blow off steam. To soothe the itch that was burning under his skin, the pulsing need that he could mostly ignore until someone like this woman showed up and reminded him of what he was missing. Well, her . . . and when he saw his friends finding love and fawning all over each other. It was enough to make him sick, or so he told himself, when he wasn’t jealous of them. But he knew everyone in town and in the county, and in the surrounding area. No one had flipped his switch in a long time. He had convinced himself that he’d been destined to be alone, and that was for the best, especially for a sheriff.

“I expected a tow truck driver, not a cop. I’m feeling all kinds of special now.” She glanced toward the tree line and hesitated. “Do you have cows up here?”

Even her throaty voice arrowed straight to his cock, a complication he didn’t need right about now. Act professionally, Nathan. He’d never had to tell himself that before. Of course, most of the people he interacted with were either former classmates of his or friends of his mother’s, none of which he needed, or wanted, to see naked.

He gave her a curt nod, regaining his professionalism. He flashed his badge. “I’m Sheriff Holt. The tow truck is on its way. And I don’t think any of the ranchers have any cows up this way unless some of them got loose and I would have heard about that. Did you see something?”

She glanced at the tree line again, her brow furrowing. “I’m not sure what I saw. I thought it was a cow but not any kind of cow I’ve ever seen.”

His attention flared to life. “Describe it.”

She arched her eyebrow at his demand but only gave him a sharp look before responding. “It was shaggy, kind of like a buffalo but it didn’t look like pictures I saw in my history book. Small horns. Kind of a weird shape. I got a picture.”

She handed him her phone and Nathan sighed. Of course he’d just missed the rogue. He’d been chasing that damn beefalo around the county for a couple of months now. Buford even had his own section in the town paper for sightings. “That’s Buford. He’s a beefalo, a cross between a bison and cow. The result is a little bizarre and could look differently depending on how much of each side they got. Buford looks a lot like a bison with horns and shaggy fur but smaller features like a cow. He can be ornery so if you see him wandering around loose again, call the station.”

She gave him a brief salute. “Will do, Sheriff.”

He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. “Thanks. Name?”

She smirked. “Wow, back to business. And here I thought we had a moment over your beefalo. Whatever. I’m Abby and I’m just passing through. Had a little car trouble so I called 9-1-1.”

He noted her omission of a last name. Interesting. “No Triple A?”

She laughed. “You saw the state of my car, right? Do you think I can afford Triple A? Do you even have that out here?”

He’d scanned the car to ensure there weren’t any weapons and it had appeared she was living out of her car so it was a fair statement. “I don’t make assumptions, ma’am. I only deal in facts.”

She stared at him for a long moment, then buried her fingers in her hair and shook out the bun, letting her hair fall around her shoulders. “How do you walk with that stick up your ass?”

Heat flooded his face and he frowned at the teasing tone. “Ma’am…”

She shook her head. “I’m not that old, officer. Please don’t ma’am me. Call me Abby.”

“Care to share your last name?”

For the first time, she looked uncomfortable and glanced away. “I’d prefer not to say.”

“And I prefer to be enjoying my breakfast but we can’t all have what we want.” The words just came out before he could stop them.

She looked over, a smile crossing her face. “Well, you can make a joke. Gaines. Abby Gaines. And I’m headed to Granite Junction. For now. Like I said, I’m just passing through.”

“We’re not a big hub of commerce so if your car needs a part, it could take a while. Do you know what went wrong?”

She frowned and glanced down the path towards the parking lot. “It just stopped running, then smoke billowed out from the hood. I figured that was bad. I was lucky no one was around me and I could coast to this pull-off here.”

“We don’t get a lot of traffic this way. You’re lucky you had cell service.” His walkie talkie squawked and he listened for a moment. “Sounds like your tow is here. Shall we go check it out, Miss Gaines?”

She jerked at the name then nodded. Interesting reaction. Almost as if she didn’t recognize it. Interesting. She headed down the path, pausing next to him.

“Thank you, Sheriff.” A sly grin crossed her face. “I’ll do my best to abide by your laws while I’m in your town.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review - "L. Wilder really knows how to draw you into a story!"
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review - "My oh my! This one is awesome! I absolutely love this couple!"
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review - " This story right here, shows exactly why we love bikers."

The second I laid eyes on Aubrey Cash, I knew she was hiding something.
The blond haired, blue eyed beauty wasn’t who she said she was.
I couldn’t force myself to turn her away...
So I hired her.

As the club’s hacker, it was my job to uncover secrets—secrets like hers.
It was the only way I could make sure my brothers were safe.
But with each day that passed, I became more and more distracted by my need to have her.

It soon became her that I wanted to protect....her that I wanted to claim as mine.

She claimed me instead

Love at first sight, or was it lust at first sight?
For Menace, we think it was a bit of both, one look at Aubrey and Menace was pretty much a goner.

Aubrey was a super sweet girl, carrying around a lot of baggage and doing what she needs to be done and basically just trying to keep her head above water but, one Ruthless Sinner is about to try and take some of that burden off her shoulders all the while trying to steal her heart.

We loved a flustered Menace, he made us laugh time and time again. Talk about super hot and sexy, that man had those qualities in spades and more. We loved how he was the problem solver but, also loved the way he looked after people, making him more loveable as time went on.

Loved the story from cover to cover, the author drew you right in from the moment you started turning the pages and kept you engaged to the very end. The story had drama, danger, loss and sadness, love and romance, chemistry and heart. We loved all the characters, they were great, the author made it so easy to fall in love with them. This is the type of story that reminds you why we love this series and its characters, these men were willing to go to great lengths to help the women in need of this story safe and looked after their well-being, it's just who these men are.

Overall, a super sexy romance and a great addition to the series.

Leslie Wilder grew up in a small town in West Tennessee. A country girl at heart, she’s always thought that life is too short, but she had no idea how short it really was until her brother passed away in 2014. She’s always been an avid reader, loving the escape only a great book can give, and wondered if she had what it took to write one of the wild romances she’d come to adore. With the support of her family and friends, she published Inferno: A Devil Chaser’s MC, one year after her brother’s death. With him in mind, she fulfilled her lifetime dream of writing. Since then, she’s completed the Devil Chaser’s Series and continued on with the Satan’s Fury MC Series. She has so many stories in her head, and can’t wait to share each and every one.
Leslie has been blown away by the support of her readers, appreciating every message, review, and encouraging word she’s received over the past year. She looks forward to continuing this journey with them for years to come.
