Quinn reflects on her past marriage to Patrick and that Jet is a far better match for her. Patrick was selfish and controlling, while Jet is loving, caring, patient, kind, and understanding. Initially, Quinn comes across as whiny and standoffish, but as the story unfolds, her character gains depth and complexity. As Quinn navigates her past and takes ownership of her role in her failed marriage, she undergoes significant personal growth. Jet was our favorite character as he seemed to fight for both his and Quinn's future from the moment they learned they were lifemates. The story is filled with mystery, suspense, and a slow-burning romance between Quinn and Jet. Additionally, our beloved vampire characters make appearances, adding to the intrigue of the plot.

Overall, the story offers a compelling read with twists and turns, connecting Quinn's past to the present. While Quinn's character may not initially resonate with all readers, the evolving dynamics between her and Jet make for an engaging narrative.
