When my marriage crumbled, I tossed the armoire down the stairs and laughed hysterically as I moved to another state with my crazy sister.
And it was all for one man.
He was my best friend growing up, and when everything went to shit, I needed the comfort of something familiar.
I didn’t have it all planned out.
In fact, the only thing I figured out ahead of time was where I was going to live.
And then he showed up in the grocery store, looking devastatingly handsome and so scrumptious I could eat him. Not that I would.
At least, not until a few days later.
Everything was going so well. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and my lady parts were humming. It was perfect— until my ex decided he wasn’t so happy about me leaving.
Minor burns and a few nightmares later, I was dealing an overprotective boyfriend, a man who was protecting me that was way too sexy for his own good, and getting the divorce I desperately needed.
I had a feeling something major was going to happen.
You know, bigger than being nearly blown up.
Another great read in this ongoing series. This was Isla Kavanagh's story, about two besties who met once again and secretly used to have a crush on one another but never made a move or did anything about it. Kavanagh is not about to chance losing out again and will do anything to make Isla his. There is this crazy chemistry between these two, and it can't be ignored. The story is filled with laughs, strong female characters, and close sisters with an amazing bond. Riley who is Isla's sister is hilarious and has you constantly smiling and laughing out loud. She is a riot and the two of them together are even more hilarious.
This is another crazy adventure Fox and all his craziness still makes you laugh. We are seeing another side of Cash that has us worried a bit, and the camaraderie among the men of OPS makes you laugh out loud. The mysterious Ike makes his presence known more to us in this story, and we are intrigued more now than ever.
Kavanagh is a character who is easy to love but at the same time is a complicated character with secrets of his own. His family drama is toxic and it just breaks our hearts that he is more to them than a pawn to further their own ambitions. His meddlesome family is raking havoc on his love life. We love the side of him that is fun and flirty, possessive, and jealous but, the other side of him is all about bad judgment calls in the name of protection not so much. Our heart breaks for the man though because he is willing to put himself in a situation to help the family he has now and loves but, will the cost be too high in the end?
We loved this one! This story keeps you guessing suspicions throughout a mystery to solve and you constantly have an inkling that something else is more afoot the entire story. Isla and Kavanagh have beautiful chemistry and are perfect for one another and we love them together she fits well into his newfound family the problem is will they be able to survive the storm brewing between them? And will outside forces tear them apart? Can't wait to see what happens next.
I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
