I never wanted this life, this marriage.

But Caelian carried me down the aisle, and a corrupt priest declared us husband and wife, ignoring the thousand no’s I screamed at our wedding.

What began as a battle of wills has turned into an obsession. We were forced into a marriage of convenience, but somewhere between the hate and the heat, we found something more. Something dark and irresistible, something that binds us together even as it threatens to tear us apart.

Now, tragedy has struck the Del Rossa family, and they all blame me. I see it in their eyes, hear it in their whispers. Even Caelian looks at me as if I’m the reason everything is falling apart.

In our imperfect marriage, love isn’t a fairy tale... it’s a war.

Book 2 picks up where Book 1 left off with heartbreak sadness and many other emotions all rolled into one. This book was intense the banter downright raunchy and like you were at a boxing match it was like foreplay to Caelien and Giana.

Caelein really struggles with his emotions in this one had a ton of ups and downs and lashes out but, he is slowly coming to terms with that for the first time in his life he is feeling more than just lust for a woman but love.

Giana was a character whose heart went out to the loneliness she was experiencing. guilt, and a ton of other emotions.

The characters were great even the villains played the parts of a T, but Giana's father was a whole other ballgame we despised him with good reason.

overall this was a non-stop heart-pounding conclusion with a twist, realizations coming to life, scoring chemistry with super hot and sexy scenes. Love and hate was a fine line with this couple but, their chemistry was so off the charts it was hard to deny. We loved it even as much as we loved Giana and her feistiness as her nativity got on our nerves to not see what was broadcasting loudly right in front of your face kind of thing. We love the series these men are like no other we have read about.
They are smoking hot, sinful, and down filthy, and dark.
