  Jude Whittingham didn’t expect his football season would be spent in the stands recovering from injury. With rest and rehab as his primary focus, Jude finds his mind is becoming as messed up as his Achilles tendon. It doesn’t help that Neva, one of his many ex-girlfriends, and the team’s nutritionist, has now been assigned to his case.   Neva has more to worry about than dealing with Jude. After a series of disastrous dates and time-wasting relationships, her hope of having a baby is fading. Neva's problem – no one has passed the audition phase or come close to being father material. Well, since Jude.   When a family seems to be out of reach for Neva, not only does Jude find out about her baby's dream, but he also offers to help her out. Neva can’t think of a practical reason to say no, apart from the fact that their past should probably be left exactly there.   Jude might be able to give her a baby, but just because he can, does it mean she should? 

This was such a fun read one that was filled with emotions, awesome friendships, romance, healing, and love. Jude is a character you fall instantly in love he is so sweet and kind and compassionate and comes from a beautiful family of loving parents. After growing up in a family of loving parents that is the kind of family Jude is looking for and a woman like Neva will be what he graves and needs. If you have read the previous books in this series you will see serious growth in Jude's character and he is ready to settle down into a committed relationship not the typical age for a guy his age or his career. Neva is a character that is likable at first but, one you grow to love. Her hangup about her and Jude's age difference got on your nerves after a time. She had some valid points but, was so hung up on what others thought or would think and not the ones who counted or mattered and she got so caught up in pushing Jude away that she failed to realize she had already found the one for her. As Jude's teammates were falling around him he was having a secret affair with Neva past tense that broke his heart when she cut him loose but, an opportunity arises to win the woman back he has always loved and will do what Jude does best and make her fall in love with him and win the only girl he has wanted forever and always. This was a beautifully written story full of a ton of emotion and heart, caring, and compassion, and had a couple who had beautiful chemistry together. Loved all the little things that Jude did for Neva to show his love. This couple had a lot in common and made the perfect couple. It melted our hearts just how devoted he was to Neva it was a beautiful thing to see. From the moment we met Jude, we were rooting for him to win the girl because this man deserved love and happiness just like his teammates and after seeing him with his teammate's children we knew he would be a wonderful dad someday and prayed his dreams would come true. Such a swoony loveable character just loved him.
