We have to say that this was a very cute romance read. We really enjoyed the characters and we love the fact we are getting to know a whole other cast of characters who are clearly troubled and making the best of a situation they find themselves in. Our greatest hope after meeting these siblings is that somehow they will find a way to put the past behind them and find a way to heal the damage done to the brothers and sisters and become a family of closeness and love and one that has each other's backs.
With so much uncertainty in the lives of Drake and his family, he decided to live in the now and not in what-if land. He embraces his attraction with Wren and puts his heart on the line but, Wren is going to be a hard nut to crack and we had no doubt he was up to the challenge.
Loved getting to know Milo and Wren Milo was such a sweet child and Wren was a woman full of sass and confidence she carried the scars of her past but, one man was determined to make her his along with claiming Milo as his own. We felt like Drake was courting them both.
A light fun read that at times made you laugh was packed with a bit of emotion and healing and learning to let go of the past and taking a chance on love even with all the insecurities you have kept tucked away for so long. Be prepared this is a really slow-burn romance that really takes its time to manifest but, while doing that there are a lot of tender moments between Milo, Drake, and Wren while they all learn to trust and heal.
Imagine my surprise when Finnegan Gil pops back up once again in this latest new chapter and we loved having him here as he has become one of our favorite characters.
