We are loving this author and the first part of the duet is off to a great start and oh, my what a cliffhanger it ended on.The story line is intriguing and captivating and filled with some mystery and suspense and is full of secrets.

Seth and Theodora (Teddy) had a connection that was undeniable even if they keep fighting it pushing and pulling isn't good for either of them especially Teddy's fragile heart. This story line kind of reminds me of an enemies to lovers romance but, the thing is after getting to know this couple its everything but, deep down they love one another and have for years. We actually loved them as a couple but, what Seth was doing to them is beyond cruel maybe not intentional but, the sting is the same. This couple sizzles when in close proximity the flames are there waiting always to be ignited.

The story wrought more than a few surprises. We love how involved the family members are whether they are on a case or in everyday life. Loved the closeness between them and the teasing.

Just loved this fast paced read that was packed with action, and suspense, tons of emotions had a cast of really great characters that we actually loved we loved them all. Can't wait to see what happens next we devoured this read in just a couple of hours.
