Linde returns to the Royal Houses series with House of Curses: the story of Kerrigan Argon, a half-Fae, half-human as she seeks her place in an unforgiving world filled with magic, mayhem, and romance. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Holly Black, and V.E. Schwab.
Against all odds, Kerrigan Argon passed her dragon training. She’s now an official member of the Society. Everything should be well. But somehow, nothing is.
Her dark prince, Fordham Ollivier, has disappeared in hopes to beak his curse.
An unwanted wedding looms in her future.
And the council election draws ever nearer. An election that she’s been unceremoniously nominated for.
If all of that wasn’t enough, the Red Masks, an anti-half Fae, anti-human terrorist organization, are gaining ground. All because they have a spy inside the mountain, inside the Society itself.
Someone is leading these monsters.
And Kerrigan is determined to stop them at all costs.
Book 1 House of Dragons
We have to say that we really enjoy this story, it was a lot of dun, and it was intriguing, and it had a cast of character that we absolutely loved. Kerrigan is a character easy to fall in love with, she is rebellious and witty and has an eclectic set of friends and loves to have fun and lives on the edge. We loved her brains and Braun and so much more.
We love her tenacity when it comes to justice. Not only that, but we loved her unusual relationship with Her dark prince, Fordham Ollivier a rebel himself, they make the perfect pair.
Overall the story was engaging, it made you smile and laugh and was filled with tons of magic and Dragons and Fae/half Fae. The story also had a ton of suspense, a mystery to solve and prejudices to overcome. The story continues as Kerrigan and Fords story is not over, and we are looking forward to seeing what happens next.
