What an awesome story, we loved every bit of it. The story had a cast of amazing characters. I don't know what it is about this author, but, she never fails to make us fall in love with her characters. From the moment we started turning the pages, we were already half in love with both Vanessa and Michael's characters.

We loved Vanessa, she seemed liked a broken dove and that maybe partly true but, she had a bit of warrior in her also. Vanessa's character showed a lot of vulnerability, and she came from the school of hard knocks and was judged on gossip and not on the truth, which was sad because people missed out on the beautiful person she was on the inside as well as out. We will say that we wanted to wrap her up in blankets and warm hugs the entire time to make her feel loved, welcomed and that she mattered. We loved that she was becoming a part of the Taggart/McKay family, something that she never had, and she fit right in with that crazy bunch we love so much.

Michael, what a smooth operator and all kinds of yummy. We loved that we saw a vulnerable side to him as well.
We also thought that he was exactly what Vanessa needed. The chemistry between these characters was off the charts and almost instantaneous. Their sexual escapades super hot but, what we loved that even with Michael's doubts about her, he became protective of her and was willing to take the time and get to know the real person she was and not what Hollywood portrayed her as.

The story was filled with tons of hotness and was also filled with a ton of emotion and suspense, and lies and deceit as well as laughter. The story had a lot of ups and downs for these two main characters and the waters were rocky but, in the mist of all the chaos
it was awesome that this couple found salvation in one other.

Another awesome read in this ongoing series. What we loved most about this story and this series is its characters, the entire Taggat/McKay family. This crazy family they have made is all up in everybody's business, they have each of the others backs the constant ribbing and teasing that goes on and the love they have for one another. The men are hard and dangerous and are good a what they do but, they are not afraid to show the love they have for their women or the protectiveness they have toward them or anyone they consider family. In our book, it makes these men even more love-able. Ian Taggart never ceases to amaze me as you never know what is going to come out of that man's mouth but, when he described the men and women of his family, he had us almost peeing our pants we laughed so hard.

There was so much we loved about this story we could go on and on but, we have to give a shoutout to Ava Michael's mom too she was one heck of a lady aka tigress when it came to protecting her cubs, and we could not help but, fall in love with her character as well. Can't wait for the next adventure to begin with Deke and Madeline, and let's not forget Kyle and MaeBe and the mystery that still surrounds the both of them.
