BOOK BLURB
Rule #1: Don’t fall in love with your best friend. Tally Kerr broke Rule #1 over a decade ago—a mistake that ended in the worst way possible.   Rule #2: Don’t date an artist. Tally recently broke Rule #2, and the artist broke up with her. The consequence? She’s stuck curating a three-week exhibit for the jerk, and the only thing worse than dealing with him and his new girlfriend are the pity looks from the other artists.   So, she calls in a favor from her former best friend.   Sam Deschenes didn’t expect to see Tally again. And he knows he’s to blame. So when she says she’s coming to town and needs his help, Sam can’t say no—not even when she asks him to be her pretend boyfriend.   Tally wants nothing more than to forget Arizona, which is why this charade is critical. She’ll replace all her memories with fake ones and prove she never really loved Sam.   As the days tick by, remembering Arizona—and all the reasons she fell for her best friend—come too easily. When their scorching desire incinerates the line between real and fake, will Tally keep up the act or will she break rule number one all over again?

This was another enjoyable book in its series. We loved the characters, especially characters like Mee Maw, and we found Sam to be such a sweetheart.

This story was filled with a lot of pain sorrow and heartbreak, second chances and fake boyfriends and an ex-boyfriend who was nothing but, an arrogant troll.

We love how the story started out showing us the history and the growth of the characters like Sam and Tally, and we loved the amazing friendship that they had forged and the love they had for one another was clearly evident even back then, and then in a blink of an eye things turned to heartbreak and pain.

Over the years Sam and Tally have moved on but, she is in need of a fake boyfriend, so she enlisted the help of her childhood best friend and the man she has been secretly in love with for most of her life Sam her bestie but, will her heart survive the weeks to come? Sam was sweet, kind, loving and painstakingly handsome, and clearly stills has deep feelings for his childhood bestie. Will jumping at the chance of playing at being the fake boyfriend rekindle his loss friendship with the girl he loved and lost? My heart went out to Sam we felt his pain but, we also realized he found himself between a rock and a hard place and knew deep down he was bound to hurt someone he loved but, for all the right reasons.

Tally seemed to be striving in life professionally and doing something she was passionate about but, when it came to her personal life, she seemed to be unlucky in love. You felt Tally's pain right down to your bones, her feeling of being betrayed all over again and lost and alone once again, determine to never let another do that to her again. Pain, sorrow and loss once again...

Overall we loved being on Sam and Tally's adventure into the past and present and how they were going to navigate the rocky waters to get back what they once had, whether that was just friendship or so much more. The road was not an easy one, it was full of pain angst, trust issues and miscommunications but, also love. Our heart went out to both characters time and time again, hoping that there might be a second chance to explore the love that was so clearly evident for one another all those years ago. The story took some twists and turns but, this latest one might just lead to a happily ever after for a couple of characters that we so easy to love and were always destined to be soulmates. Mee Maw added just the perfect mix of fun and humor to the book that made it that much more enjoyable.
