Isla Gunnach
I am the daughter of royalty. A princess, if you will. But I have no interest in a prince to vanquish my dragons. I’m quite capable of doing that all by myself. I am, however, looking for my equal. A man who doesn’t simper at my feet, or try to use me to get to my father or my uncles.

The problem is, when such a man crashes into my life, I find him to be insufferable and infuriating.

Arric Mann
I’m a nomad. I have no family, no home. Just a series of tragedies that have shaped the man I have become. When I find myself drawn to Scotland, I am propelled into a world I am not prepared for. One of ancient lore and fairy tales.

But I also find her. And she is about to ruin the last semblance of sanity I have left.
A beautifully written story filled with heart and soul and deep within traditions. We loved the magical tale as we were reading we felt the magic of this clan and the love within it.

Isla and Arric were characters so easy to love. Isla was full of sass and was independent and has no problem saying what's on her mind.

Arric the big tatted man made us laugh. Even with all his confusion about what was happening to him in a strange land he coped pretty well even if he kept putting his foot in his mouth more times than not and those times just made us laugh and there was quite a few of them.

Overall we just loved the story from cover to cover and everything in between. The characters were awesome and all so love-able to. We loved the mystery that surrounded the story and how it was heaped with traditions along with the magic of a clan that stays hidden from the world. We loved the sizzle and chemistry between Isla and Arric they were truly made for one another even if they were pig headed at times but, the flame always burned bright between them, they just needed to embrace it.

I have to say that this is the first book in this series that I have read in this series, and now I am hooked, and I have to go back and read the entire series to get caught up to speed. And we are looking forward to it.
