The allure of sharing my life with that one special woman is tempting but not the thought of falling in love again or having children.

Ten years ago, I lost everything that mattered- the love of my life, what should have been my daughter and the courage to go after all those dreams I once wanted. Instead, I threw myself into my job as a detective and my role at the Wounded Souls as a patched member. My life consisted of staying busy, keeping my niece out of trouble and not falling in love.

Love hurt, love meant loss. And without my permission, love was heading my way in the shape of a red-headed stunner with an independent streak a mile long. Kelsey tempted me, taunted my protective nature and damn if she didn’t make me want things I promised never to go after ever again.
Jason Johnston was the main attraction of my best dreams, well he featured in every single one of them. The handsome and annoyingly bossy man was finally seeing me. Me. The girl from across the street, now a woman with a tormented past, and scars that ran deep.
He didn’t care about any of that; he cared about me, protected me, one could even say he doted on me.
I could live with the fact he couldn’t love me. Right?
Does love really have the power to heal two people so right for each other?

We loved this story from beginning to end as it was emotional and heartfelt and all about new beginnings. In our book, Leah Sharelle is a master storyteller her books are engaging and funny and always affect you emotionally that make you laugh as well as cry.

I am so glad that this author decided to write Jason's story, and although he didn't start off as a Wounded Soul, he was definitely intertwined with their lives from the very beginning.

Jason was a character that is broken and emotionally wounded and never quite getting over the death of his wife all those years ago, but, Shiloh and his brothers have made that pain tolerable over the years and in a way have been his saving graces. My heart went out to Jason for the pain he was suffering, and you really felt this character's pain but, even though he is struggling with that intense pain he has come to terms with that he is ready to move on and once again try to be happy.

OMG! We loved Kelsey right from the very beginning of the story and our hearts went out to her for all she endured in her life being raised by an uncaring vindictive bitch of a mother who doesn't have one drop of love in her heart only hate. No matter what Kelsey endured through her childhood she remained pure at heart and is kind caring and someone who shows she loves someone in all the little things she does for them. I loved that although a bit shy she was fiercely independent and someone who loves with one's whole heart but, she also wears that heart on her sleeve as the saying goes.

Kelsey and Jason have been friends since childhood, and he is so protective of her which is so sweet but, at some point in their friendship Jason is starting to see her as more than just a friend and in the new light of day struggling with the realizations that he is just now questioning these new emotions that this little slip of a girl is making him feel. I have to say it was a bit funny watching Jason struggle with his emotions it was kind of cute as he was floundering and kept messing things up which had as laughing constantly.

I can't tell you how much we loved the conclusion to this duet. We loved the Wounded Souls series so much and all its characters, so we are so glad that they were all a part of Jason's journey of moving on.

As always, we absolutely loved the flock and their antics and are loving and seeing how all their lives are moving forward and that their love is still stronger than ever with the men of theirs, and that Shiloh is still that cute and quirky girl that you can't wait to see what is going to spill out of her mouth next.

We loved the chemistry that Jason and Kelsey had together, and we loved how protective they were toward one another, and we also loved seeing Jason strut around in alpha mode now that he has claimed his women. This story was hot and sexy and emotional. I felt that Kelsey was the one from the very beginning be would be the one to bring Jason back into the land of living as she had enough love in her heart to heal him and have enough love for the both of them until he was ready to let go of his past for good but, I felt that Kelsey was making sacrifices that she should not have to make but, that girl had the patience of a saint even though Jason kept breaking her heart over and over again she still stood by him.

We loved this story from beginning to end and everything in between. We loved its characters so much, we are definitely going to miss them. I have to say, we loved being on Jason's journey of rediscovering love and letting go, and also the twist that the story took that we did not see coming. This story was an emotional one but, it was also heartfelt to the point that you wished that you could have been blessed with a love so fierce and strong in Jason and Zoe had for one another as it was "oh", so endearing...

"We loved this story that was full of so many swoon-worthy characters !"

I love the idea of being in love. Since my early teens when I first discovered Silhouette Desire novels my life has been all about reading. I would find myself re-writing scenes if I wasn't happy with them and hiding them under my bed. That led me to writing love stories of my own. They all ended up under the bed and are still there, and there they will stay. I don't do angst, in fact it drives me crazy.
I am a mum of three beautiful girls, Australian, and have what most say is a weird sense of humor.
I spend my free time doing movie, Sons of Anarchy, and Friends marathons. And reading.
I love Pina Colada's and getting caught in the rain..... there's that weird humor.
