Wow ! What a page turner from beginning to end could not put my book down.I love the series so much I purchased the rest of the series to read right after I finished reading this title.I have read Rhyannon Byrd books over the years and really enjoyed them so I was glad to see a new title from her to read.I love reading paranormal books and love reading about those hunky shape-shifters so this was the perfect romance novel for me to indulge in .

What a wonderful plot and story of romance surrounded by danger and lots of intrigue.Just love the two main characters Elise and Wyatt both amazing characters.

Elise she was a firecracker for sure.She was a tough outspoken women who seemed to be tough as nails.She never took no for and answer.She was determined and had nerves of steel.Considering her job description you would never have thought she had this kind of personality.

Elise set out to find her missing sister.She packed up her life to go on the road to find her .She was her one focus in her life.In finding her sister she is now mixed up in a plot of human trafficking by and opposing shape shifter clan.Having no clue of what she has stumbled upon she is rescued by Wyatt Pallaton a shape-shifter with the blood of royalty.

Wyatt tried to warn Elise to move on from there very first meeting but she was having none of it.The tall dark mesmerizing man wasn't scaring her off.After reading the scene of there first meeting I new this couple would be drawn to to each other and the sparks would fly between this couple.I smiled and chuckled through the whole scene of the two of them head to toe with each other just picturing this tiny little women with the giant of a man.(lol)

 Wyatt had to be my favorite character.He was one of those love-able characters with a big heart protective of those he loved and still protective of those he didn't. I did feel sorry for him at times because his pack members kept him at a bit of a distant his blood line was one of those reasons as it was the purest of there kind. He was also being judged for his fathers sins and not his own and it really isn't fair as he is nothing like the monster his father was .He was not only his father  but, was there pack leader to.There is a sadness to him.Even though he was well liked by the rogue hunters and respected by others you felt his loneliness and despair. Elsie was his one bright light in it all his sunshine his mate but, not trusting his own  feelings toward Elise he pushes her away then pulls her in pushes her away again like a tug of war.You understand though he is afraid of hurting her but , I think its more he thinks he was undeserving of her love.If was not half  in love with Wyatt's character from the  very beginning I was  head over heels after he risked his life to save Elsie's and what he did to care for afterward made me tumble .Sigh....

This was such a great story.So much going on all the time.Secrets coming to life .Learning the real secrets of her sister's kidnapping.The journey of Wyatt and Elsie falling in love .The sisters betrayal and not seeing a happily ever after in this foreseeable future for this couple. An lets not forget the other amazing characters we were getting to know and learn about.So looking forward to reading their stories.This story had everything  to make it an amazing and intriguing story to keep you turning the pages into the wee hours of the morning.

Looking forward to the next installment and the past installments already loaded on my kindle.Recommended to all the paranormal romance junkies like me.
