Our Review

WOW!!! Yes that is how I am starting out this review. I have never read a Regency Historical Romance from this time frame in London. So when I went into this I was thinking I was not going to enjoy this book but man was I wrong I was hooked right from the start. I loved Fantine Delmire's spunk and her fire from the beginning you can tell she doesn't like that her life is being forcefully turned upside down against her will. And to her Earl Nicholas Ashcom (Nick) is the enemy. And boy do they start off on a rough patch.

When Lord Ashcom forces Fantine to London to a coming out season the sparks fly even more. So does the jealousy of one Lady Vladim and the plot she and a few others plan may just change everything. What neither Nicholas or Fantine expect is that soon the irritation they each have toward the other begins to change. But will it be enough to survive what happens to Fantine.

Oh you have to read to find out let me just say I couldn't put the book down. My daughter had to wait for dinner lol sorry the story just sucked me in, the characters jumped out of the pages. I loved Aunt Dorothy she was awesome. Gloria what an excellent story.

About the Author

gloriagay.com

My love of reading and writing goes back to my discovery of Nancy Drew, The Dana Girls and Judy Bolton mysteries, which I read by the truckload.

From those early books I made a large leap into such classics as David Copperfield, The Old Curiosity Shop, a Tale of Two Cities and alternating with classics I would read gothics, and it was "Rebecca", which revived a dream of childhood to become a writer. A letter from Daphne Du Maurier, in reply to my question asking her if Manderley was real spurred me into writing a gothic novel. From there I became addicted to Regency romances, because they contained more romance than gothics and that was where I found my calling as an author.

My latest Regency romance is "Enchanted Summer," and I recently published a time travel romance, "A Bridge Through Time. When I'm not writing I'm painting--my other love--and occasionally pen poems.

I am busy writing another version of "Forced Offer" for which I still do not have a title and I am also writing another time travel romance--also no title comes to mind, as yet.

SCANDAL AT ALMACK'S and LOVELY LITTLE LIAR were published on January and April 2014 by Boroughs Publishing Group.

I read for several hours every day and I write very early in the morning or in the evening before I read either a Regency or a suspense novel.
