I have a really good mystery/thriller book to share with you calledAnother Heaven written by Annu Subramanian.
Synopsis:
Annu Subramanian’s new novel, ANOTHER HEAVEN, exposes with unflinching honesty and deep psychological insight the twisted relationship between terrorism and human trafficking.ANOTHER HEAVEN may be difficult to digest in part, but its frankness and refusal to turn away from the unsparing horror of its terrible premise make the book an essential addition to the literature of terrorism and its links to international human trafficking.
Subramanian, a self-described “writer of conscience,” employs her considerable literary skills in the service of shining a bright light on human rights abuses and terrorism. In her previous novel,WAITING FOR THE PERFECT DAWN, Subramanian focused on bringing awareness about the suppression of women and domestic violence.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this book when I first started reading it, not because the story is bad or anything, but because I don't like reading about children being used or abused. But, it was such a fascinating story and unfortunately, I am sure that a lot of what is written in the book, really does happen, so I guess putting your head in the sand isn't going to solve anything.
As for it being a thriller, it is definitely that! Very well written and very devious! The terrorists in this book are so eerily in control it blows the mind. I kept cheering for the good guys and kept hoping that they would catch a break and find some clues or mistakes that the bad guys made but there wasn't any except for the one where Tina meets the girl at the hotel, then nothing until almost the end of the book.
I don't know for sure how much of this book is real or just fabricated, but it sounds pretty plausible to me and very scary. I would hope that if I were in this situation I would not be as easily manipulated,
but that's easy to say sitting where I am. Who knows what you would do if it was you sitting there having to decide to go along with the terrorists or not. But, the bad thing is, they die regardless of what they choose, the only thing that is in their hands is when, because a suicide bomber does not walk away in the end, no matter what lies are told.
I hope you will take the time to read this fascinating book and reflect on all victims of terror, for they are the unsung heroes.
Happy Reading!
