My Thoughts



This book starts out with action which I like, no leading you up to anything, you start and bang its there. Farley is being followed and as she tries to get to her friend Tess, someone comes to her rescue. A cute someone at that. A fight breaks out, only this is not your typical fight, this one is much bigger and way more explosive. Like I said what a way to start a story. Now I had to keep reading to see what happens,
Farley is a 17 year old girl living on her own after her dad died and her mother disappeared. All her life she has been different, no one ever believed her so she tried to hide it away. Now she is on her own and what she has always tried to hide is coming at her all at once and full force. And what she once believed was the truth, may not be what it seemed after all.
Daniel, stubborn, angry, headstrong Daniel. Chiseled, electrifying, gorgeous Daniel. Oh how he loves to torment and irritate Farley. All the while hiding how he really feels for her. As I am reading I keep thinking to myself why has she not slapped the living tar out of him yet. He needs to lose the ‘tude and the stick in his butt. I know I would have. But I won’t lie I really fell for Daniel almost from the start.
Agatha, what a tiny thing, but that girl packs a punch. She brings Farley to her new home and is the first to finally start telling her about herself and where she is from and who and what Farley is and what she means to a lot of people. She has a good heart this one.
Farley and Daniel do a lot of dancing around each others feelings, you can feel the underlying strained current between them. Like a river churning before the water falls. It has you rushing to the next page to see which one will break first, which one will tell the other how they are really feeling.
There is this amazing car chase scene, that as I am reading I can close my eyes and see it unfolding. Action packed, gun fire, hanging out of windows, bodies flying, smashed vehicles among other things. Excellent read right there.

There are some really emotionally charged moments in this book. Packed full of attitude, tempers, tears and laughter. The author does an amazing job bringing the characters and stories to life. I was reading until I couldn’t see straight and then kept reading some more. Does Daniel die to save Farley? Does the prophecy come true? Does Farley die after all? Does Tess finally get a clue and get on board with everyone? Does Oliver turn on them all? What happens to Agatha? Well get the book & find out for yourself – because I certainly am not going to tell you. LOL
