Can an accidental meeting put a brewery prince and a stranger both at risk?

Welcome to San Camanez, a humble, peaceful little island in the Puget Sound and home to the McEvoy brothers. Four sexy single fathers—and one childless snack with a beard—who run a brewpub on the beach, raise their kids together, and hope to find love and happiness in the chaos that is life. This is Wyatt’s story ...

Single Dad and chef Wyatt McEvoy was simply heading home after another gruelling day in the kitchen when a battered and terrified woman literally ran right into him. Who did this to her? And if they’re still alive, they won’t be for long.

When Vica Vitale was attacked at the McEvoy’s pub, she nearly paid the ultimate price. Luckily, she knows how to defend herself. Only, no witnesses to see her do it means the police now think she’s a killer. Because of this, her new company has canceled her visa application, and immigration is ready with the handcuffs.

With no family in the country, Vica is on her own and terrified. Until Wyatt steps up and makes her the offer of a lifetime. Marry him. Doing so will get his protection and a green card. She only needs to keep her end of the agreement and avoid falling in love with her new husband in the process. Otherwise, she might jeopardize his family’s safety as well as her heart.

“How about me?”

“What do you mean?”

“I can cook. I’m actually a very good cook. I worked at a restaurant back home in Italy as a teenager and my father, brother, and I cooked dinner together almost every night. It was a way we came together and bonded.”

He was skeptical.

But he was also desperate.

Technically, he could just put her on a prep station chopping vegetables and such. All he really needed in the kitchen was an extra set of hands that knew how to hold a knife and dice onions.

“I’m getting pretty restless, Wyatt. We could help each other out here. I help you in the kitchen, you help me by getting me out of the house and making me feel useful. I feel like a sitting chicken right now. Just waiting for slaughter.”

“A sitting duck?”

“Does the bird really matter? And besides, ducks can fly. They have a better chance at escaping. It should be a chicken.”

He couldn’t argue with her reasoning.

“Please?” She blinked those beautiful, soulful, brown eyes at him and in that moment, he would have given her anything in the world. A job, a ring, a kidney.

Finally, he nodded. “Okay. Thank you.”

“I am the one that should be thanking you.” She bounced on her toes. “I am excited to be useful. You will see, I am very good with a knife.” Her wink made his dick twitch before she bounded out of the kitchen and upstairs. “I need to change.”

He really shouldn’t be having such inappropriate thoughts about Vica, but the longer she stayed with them, the harder and harder that became. He’d already woken up twice with painful erections because his dreams about her had been downright filthy. Then it was impossible to look her in the eye in the morning over the breakfast table. Particularly because in one of those dreams, her mouth had been wrapped around his cock and the eye contact she made, glancing up at him from her knees, nearly made him wake up in a sticky mess.

He finished packing the boys’ lunches, then went about making pancakes since the guilt of lashing out at his kids gnawed away at him like a beaver on a tree trunk. He was just flipping the first batch on the griddle when the kids and Vica came back downstairs. She wore all black now. Black leggings that made her ass scream at him to bite it, and a black T-shirt that hugged her curves and made him groan.

“Are you making pancakes, Dad?” Jake asked.

He nodded. “Yeah. I’m sorry I snapped at you guys. I was stressed because Rico fell off his bike and broke his leg.”

“Oh no!” Griffon said. “Did it fall off?”

Wyatt gave his youngest son a heavy eye roll. “No. It didn’t break off, it just broke on the inside.”

“Like Talia broke her arm,” Jake said.

“Exactly. Anyway, Justine put a cast on him, but he’s going to be out of work for a bit and Killian is on vacation until Tuesday. So we’re short staffed. I was just stressed, but I shouldn’t have taken it out on you. I’m sorry.”

“So what are you going to do?” Jake asked, reclaiming his seat at the table and grabbing a small bunch of freshly washed green grapes from the bowl.

“Luckily, Vica has offered to help out in the kitchen.”

“You can cook?” Griffon asked her with genuine surprise.

“I can. I used to work in a kitchen back in Italy. And I cooked a lot with my dad and brother.”

“What’s your brother’s name?” Griffon asked. The kid had the attention span of a fruit fly and switched topics quicker than a Formula One driver changed gears.

“His name was Lorenzo, but he has passed away.”

“How’d he die?” Griffon asked.

“Griff,” Wyatt warned.

“What?” his youngest challenged. “Is that a bad thing to ask?”

“It’s okay,” Vica said. “He was a professional parachuter with the Italian military. He was on a training jump, neither of his chutes deployed and—”

“That’s awful,” Griffon said, his little mouth hanging open. “I would never want to die that way.”

Yeah, it definitely wasn’t how Wyatt wanted to go, knowing you were falling to your death when neither chute opened and there wasn’t anything you could do to stop it. When he went, he wanted it to be either quick and painless where he didn’t even see it coming. Or where he knew it was happening and had done all he could to fight it and was surrounded by those he loved, with all his affairs in order and a heavy dose of pain meds flowing through his veins.

“Pancakes are up,” Wyatt said, plunking the flapjacks into the middle of the table. “I expect fruit to be consumed, please. Not just carbs and sugar.”

“But carbs are so delicious,” Griffon chimed as he speared a pancake with his fork and brought it onto his plate. “Why are they called carbs?”

Wyatt exhaled and brought Vica a coffee. “I’m sorry, again.”

“It’s okay. If that is the extent to which you eat people’s hair, it’s pretty low-key.”

He smirked. “You’re fucking with me now. Right?”

Her grin made his cock twitch, and she bit into a strawberry. He never wanted to be a piece of fruit more in his life. “I’m excited to see you in your work environment as the big boss. Does everyone say, ‘Yes, chef.’?”

He sat down across from her. “No. But I think I’ll make you say it.”

“Yes, chef,” she said with a wink before taking a sip of her coffee.

Annnnd, his dick just jumped again.

Release Tour & Review for Done With You by Whitley Cox

Title: Done With You
Series: A Young Sisters Novel
Author: Whitley Cox
Genre: Close Proximity, Cop, Enemies to Lovers, Christmas, Broken Hero
Release Date: October 14, 2023

She already knows all of his secrets, and that’s what terrifies him the most.

Looking for one night to forget her problems, Oona Young uses an alias and follows a handsome stranger back to his hotel room. Their time together is brief but passionate, and she leaves in the morning, believing she’ll never see him again. Only when her newest patient is the same man who’s seen all of her tattoos, do things get awkward. She’s read his file and knows what he’s dealing with. Ethically, she must refuse to treat him.

Forced into therapy before he can return to active duty as a police officer, Aiden Lassiter has been on the waitlist to see Dr. Young for months. So imagine his frustration and shock when the woman, who hasn’t left his thoughts since that wild night he used a fake name, is sitting in the therapist’s chair and refuses to treat him.
Things can’t get any worse, right?

Oh, but they can and certainly do when he finally works up the courage to visit his estranged brother and Oona ends up beside him on the plane. Little do either of them know they’re in for one interesting Christmas.
This is a well-written, enemies-to-lovers romance that takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride and has witty banter and humor, family and friendships, and love. We enjoyed the cast of characters.

The characters gave us one steamy read that was entertaining. What a page-turner this one was. The push and pull between Aiden and Ooan kept you on edge and became frustrating at times but, these characters needed to face some hard truths before moving on. Their chemistry was awesome and beautiful.

Overall this was one heartwrenching read that tugs on one's heartstrings. We really enjoyed this one it was a brand new author for us and we have to say we really enjoyed our first read from them.

“What can you say about the book you’ve been waiting for to come out but WOWZERS! This is the last Young sister we’ve seen her in past books but wow is Oona amazing. She and Aiden meet unexpectedly and have a fun sexy night together. However the next day everything goes down hill and keeps on rolling. Will they figure it out?” ~Mrs Taz (Amazon Review)
“My favourite scene in the story is when all of the sisters are able to get together and really work through just how hurtful their upbringing was. But then they realized that finding strength in the struggle to become the women they turned out to be: top of their game in their chosen professions, loved by friends and family, desired by the men who stood up for their love really made their chosen family theirs.” ~AngelaC (Amazon Review)

“I can smell you,” he growled, trailing his fingers delicately up her inner thigh, gathering some of her arousal that coated her inner lips, and pressing the pad of his thumb against her clit. “Smell how bad you want me. How bad you want my cock in your tight little cunt.”

Normally, a man smelling her arousal would be something that would embarrass her. Yet, with Aiden, she was turned on by it. She didn’t care. Didn’t give a damn that he knew how hot she was for him. How much she wanted him. He clearly wanted her, too, otherwise, he wouldn’t have attacked her with his mouth and undressed her.

Her body was open and ready for him. Ready to welcome the enemy.

They could keep things drama free for Rayma and Jordan’s sake, but right now, they had things they needed to clear up. Closure sex.

Yeah, that’s what this was.

Angry, hateful, closure sex.

That was a thing, right?

Like a bookend to a bad story. They had sex as strangers. Albeit strangers who seemed to like each other and get along. Then things turned ugly. And now, they were at the end of the book, and although it wasn’t a happy ending, they were attempting to wrap things up with a hate fuck of closure.

That made very little sense to her, but whatever. That was what it was.

Reaching between them, she wrapped her fingers around his cock and stroked him, pulling a bear-like growl from deep within his chest. “Why?” he breathed, dropping his mouth next to her ear.

She had no answers. She couldn’t push a word from her tight throat if she tried.

“I hate you,” he said, his mouth next to her temple.

Yeah, and she wasn’t overly fond of him, either.

“But I … I can’t resist. No fucking self-control.”

Whoa! Her pussy spasmed and she nearly came from that tortured confession.

With her free hand, she shoved her fingers into his hair and wrenched his head back, only to take his mouth with force, wedging her tongue between his lips. He bit her lip and growled again, taking control of their kiss, and forcing her to tilt her head the other way.

She ripped her mouth away, pulling in air like she’d just resurfaced from a record-breaking free dive. She needed to keep hold of at least some of her wits. To keep her desire for this man, whom she definitely shouldn’t want, from completely drowning her. To remind him that he hated her, and this was a terrible idea.

But still, no words formed on her tongue. The ability to put vowels and consonants together to form words eluded her.

And it wasn’t just because she didn’t want to be the one to break, it was because even though she knew this was a terrible idea, a colossally disastrous idea, she couldn’t stop.

She didn’t want to.

Then, he pushed one finger, and another into her channel and pumped. Their cheeks were glued together, sweat forming between their pressed-together skin, as they both panted, his cock throbbing hotly in her palm while she stroked him. He curled his fingers inside of her and she ground down onto his palm, biting her lip and tipping her head back. But he wasn’t having any of that, apparently, and pulled his fingers free of her almost fast enough to give her pussy whiplash.

Then she was off the counter and bent over the arm of the couch, ass in the air. She didn’t remember leaving her purse in the living room last night, but there it was, right on the floor beside his big, bare feet. He bent down and rifled through it until he found a condom. The sound of the wrapper being ripped open was deafening, and the anticipation of what was to come, was agonizing and glorious.

Her legs shook and her pussy pulsed, causing another trickle of arousal to run down her inner thigh.
