This was a captivating read. Damiano and Lucy have known each other since childhood, both having experienced tragic losses and ending up in foster care before being adopted by the same family. Unbeknownst to them, they were brought into a mafia family, surrounded by secrets and danger at every turn.

The characters in this story evoke mixed emotions, as we despise their new family and its members. The side characters are intriguing and treacherous, with varying levels of cunning and betrayal. Lucy, in particular, surprises us with her deceptive innocence, revealing her true cleverness.

Damiano and Lucy share a covert and forbidden love, with Damiano displaying a protective and possessive nature towards Lucy that goes beyond sibling affection. They harbor dangerous secrets that could prove fatal if exposed.

The plot is rife with twists, suspense, forbidden love, revenge, and hidden truths. While we anticipated Damiano and Lucy acting on their feelings, their recklessness without a contingency plan for the revelation of their secrets was unexpected. 

The conclusion of their story is both satisfying and surprising, hinting at a continuation of their journey.
