She only came into our lives on a whim because we outsmarted the woman who was trying to double cross us. While I hated Sakura at first her actions have proven she’s not only as loyal as they come, but has undeniable honor.

Sakura used her connections and pull to save one of us, the most innocent of Reapers, Orion Monroe. I watched her put her head on the chopping block to save that little boys life and it made me see a different side of her.

Now all I want to do is wrap her in my arms and tell her it’s going to be okay, that we’ll survive the battle with her family. But will we? Sakura isn’t just any gorgeous Japanese woman.

She’s Sakura Kobayashi, daughter of the Yakuza and her father has put a bounty on her head.

I hated Sakura at first, but she’s proven the type of woman she is with her choices. Now I feel a completely different way about her. Time is running out and it’s now or never. I only hope time is in my favor and I can tell this woman how much I ache for her to be mine.  

What and enjoyable read this was and we loved it !We really enjoyed all of the characters they were all simply amazing because they were funny and all had great personalities and they were engaging and were just a whole lot of fun to read about and we felt the love between them all.

 

The story was engaging and heart felt because no matter what Sakura does she can't seem to escape the life she was born into and the horrible people who brought here into this world.We loved her even with all her hang ups because she was still loving and caring and compassionate person despite her up bringing.We loved to that she wasn't a push over and had a wicked sense of humor and could be sexy as hell by just being herself because her personality was seductive without having to do anything.

 

Mouser we just absolutely loved him from the onset of the story .We loved that he was sexy and your typical alpha male but, we loved his softer side most of all.We love that even though it was not going to be a easy road to convince Sakura to be his he was up to the challenge and taking no as and answer wasn't even a possibility.

The story was filled with a whole lot of hotness as this couple had awesome chemistry in and out of the bedroom and we loved that the story had just enough suspense to keep you intrigued and turning the pages.

 

Overall this was another great read in this ongoing series that have so many love-able characters. Best of all I felt myself grinning through the entire story....

Hart

I did the only thing I could think of at the time. I went to the one person who just might believe my ass - the national charter Prez, Rancid. Fortunately for me, he believed every word I told him and had me lay low for a while.

The plan he made was foolish at best and got me in deeper shit than I was in before.

I'm a dead man, but none of it matters when my eyes see the one thing I'd gamble with.

Her.

This was one twisted story !The story had you intrigued right from chapter one and had you turning the pages to the very end.I have to say we really enjoyed the characters some more than others.This is not the kind of story that was easy to read but, it was one that had a lot of moving parts and one that took on a lot of twists and turns and more than a few surprises.

Gamble was one of those character's that had been to hell and back and yet, she now is living in a whole other kind of hell.Gamble was one of those characters that your heart went out to time and time again but, no matter the pain and humiliation she suffered she soldiered on and she decided to make the best of her fate and make it work to her advantage.We loved how strong and determined she was .

Hart was a sexy devil and all alpha but, he too has suffered a loss he has not been able to move on from but, he see's something in Gamble that has jumped started his heart once again.We loved his protectiveness and out outspokenness when it came to abusive behavior against women.

The characters really made this story come alive but, in the end I felt it was just unfinished in someway and I really detest when a story just ends and one without and epilogue and one that still has unfinished business.I wish we saw the romance between Gamble and Hart develop a little more than it did because something was just missing for me the chemistry was there but, I wish the author had worked the friends to lovers angle a little more between these two.Although there were things the I didn't like there were a lot of things that I did and one of my favorite things that after the clubs initial shock about Gambles new roll in the club the members rallied behind her and all took a protective stance where she was concerned and all ready to slay her tormentors.

Isabella

I've never been the type to get on the wrong side of the law until the day I did. I was given two options, to either go to jail for a very long time or become an agent for the CIA. I'm unlike any other agent, though. Most of my colleagues don't have families like I do. You see, I'm Romanian and the purest of blood flows through my veins.

Since time has passed I believe I was targeted because of who I know. Otherwise I wouldn't have been sent on this mission, to take down Franco Falcone of the New York Crime Family.

There's just one problem, my mission requires me to act like I'm interested in him. If my heart didn't belong to another this could be easy, but it isn't because my heart belongs to Marcellus Baptiste.

Humm...Not sure where to start with this one other than the fact that I had a lot of mixed feelings about the story and although I didn't love it I didn't hate it but, for me I just could not connect with the characters as they were like-able but, not love-able.

I thinks the bottom line is that these authors did not give you enough time to bond with these characters if you had already read some of the previous books in this series you might have already known somethings about them but, for us just coming into the series we new very few facts about them other then a few things that were mentioned in passing so this did not give a chance to get to know more about their past of present other that the facts of what clan they worked and belonged to and what they did for a living although we rationed out how this couple was already connected to one another . The other thing that did not work for me is where was the part that engaged the readers emotions because I felt that every move made  just felt clinical as well as cut and dry.

Isabella is forced to go under for the CIA really being blackmailed and although they tried to give her some tools to protect her they were not enough and Isabella already knew what kind of man she would be dealing with and expected that she would have to make personal sacrifices so she wanted to have a choice in giving something like her virginity away to someone she loved without it being taken from her.The whole scene just played out and it was like no feelings were even involved at all and for me and doing the whole deed was just like they were going through the motions and it was like their was no connection between the characters at all. This should have been down right hot and scorching for this couple as she was secretly in love with Marcellus for years and even though Marcellus never admitted it he lusted after her for years so where was all the passion the fire the build up in their coming together ? Their intimate moments should have been explosive! 

After everything that Isabella endured at the hands of a monster she just seems to go on with her life as if nothing tragic/sick/painful just happened to her as their is no breakdown ? no emotional pain?nothing?she showed no emotions what so ever and even after her explaining and Marcellus hearing her story that man should have been a raving lunatic out for blood and revenge and wanting vengeance "yes", he was pissed but, he should have wanted to be the one to take out anyone who hurt her and we understood that others parties involved had a stake in what was happening and not that we expected him to carry out any of these things because of the circumstances but, he sure as hell should have wanted to do these things to avenge a women who belonged to him and in there lies yet another problem when I said I felt no emotional attachment to any of these characters he was a made man in the mafia for christ sakes and then you had the fact that not once did I hear these two main characters say I love you face to face.

I know this book is fictional and sometimes as readers we have to keep reminding ourselves when reading stories like this and that their not real but, the reason we read stories with fictional mafia related characters is for the fact their filled with danger and suspense and a whole lot of hot alpha men then you have the twisted plots and the excitement and plots that engage the readers emotions to the tune you have a personal stake in their outcome an so forth and all these things just fell flat for me in this story because I felt all these things were missing from this ongoing story.  

Although this story was not personally for us it was enjoyable enough to pass the time and we did like the fact the we were indeed surprised that the CIA had another fish on their hook as they say to do their dirty work for them and that was a big surprise that we didn't see coming of who that person was "so", we did indeed love that part.

Bull

Who would've known what I'd find in that fucking basement. More importantly, who knew what I was gonna do.

It felt natural, to take off my cut and place it over her shoulders. She'd been exposed for god knows how long, and all I could think is that I didn't want another man's eyes raking over her body.

In putting my cut over her, I was claiming her as mine.

Alexa may not know it, but she's my lost little lamb and I won't let anyone harm her ever again.

"Well!" What a ride this author took us on and this story was packed from beginning to end and we loved every minute we were turning the pages. And  Omg ! What a claiming ! Can you say fireworks ?

This story had a great cast of characters from the villainous to the ones we loved as they were totally awesome.

My favorite pick this time around is going to be Alexa/Lola that women just surprised me the most of how strong she was not only in body but, in mind and spirit to go through all that she went through to come out of it all without turning her into a bitter women but, she just seemed to move on from it all .This women had some serious backbone and we just loved her gumption as well as her outlook on life. Alexa was also kind,loving sexy, and had a wicked sense of humor but, was also just as beautiful on the inside as she was out.

Bull we found him to be sexy,had a sense of humor,protective,kind,dangerous but, there was so much more beneath his surface that anyone ever realized and we loved getting to know the real man beneath that surface.We loved that the man although being gruff and dangerous he could be soft and loving. Bull was one of those bad boys that any women would be drawn to! "Heck", he had me panting after him myself . lol

We loved that this couple could be further than compatible but, there were just perfect for one another and their chemistry scorching. The sex scenes hotter than hell and there was definitely fireworks between this couple..

There was just something about this story that touched on my emotions and I think it was just the couple themselves as we were drawn to them.Chemistry and spark are important but, what this couple were seeking from one another went way deeper and that and love and trust that had them wanting their lover having more out of a life that they could provide but, soon realizing that if that happened they would be living only a half and life without one another and is that even an option?

Overall we loved it from beginning to end the entire story as it was a page turner for us and it was filled with love, suspense,drama and big reveals and a love worth keeping and the sacrifices that would be made to keep it. This author is definitely  master storyteller and we just love her all the wonderful stories she has creates for us.
