Dree Clark thought tall, ripped, thoroughly hot Augustine was her knight in shining armor, until she discovered he was her priest.
Dree is on the run. Her dead ex-boyfriend owes a whole lot of money to drug dealers, so when Catholic Charities offers Dree a mission to Nepal as a nurse, Dree jumps at it. Until she meets the Catholic priest who’ll be leading the mission, and he’s the rich, sexy billionaire from Paris.
But he has a new name, Father Maxence Grimaldi.
Well, she’d told him to lie to her.
She just never thought he’d lie about being a priest.
Now, she’s journeying far out into the wilds with the hot priest.
And oh God, they’re riding motorcycles, and he’s wearing black leather with a priest’s collar.
And there aren’t enough darned tents to go around.
She’s not going to be able to keep her hands off of him.

EXCERPT:

Her throat was nearly too tight for words. She forced out, “It’s not safe for me to go back to Phoenix. I told you everything that happened with my ex, Francis. There is some weird stuff going on there with the police and, I think, other drug dealers. So, I called up Sister Annunciata, the principal of my Catholic high school that I went to in New Mexico, and she called up a friend of hers, Father Thomas—”

“Father Thomas Aquinas from Immaculate Conception in Phoenix,” he said with her, in unison. “The Catholic Mafia strikes again.” Augustine shook his head.

Not Augustine, Maxence.

And yet, he was still the astonishingly tall, ripped, beautiful specimen of a man Dree had met in Paris.

But, he was named Maxence. She had to remember that.

Deacon Father Maxence.

The white tab of the Roman collar on his shirt shone in the late afternoon sunlight streaming through the windows, accusing her.

He had not been wearing that in Paris, and he should have been.

“Yeah,” she said. “Father Thomas said he could get me on a plane for somewhere far away from the southwestern US without any questions asked. So, here I am, far away from the southwestern US.”

Augustine nodded. “Nepal is very far away from the southwestern US.”

“Didn’t he or somebody tell you I was coming? Did you know?”

“The Catholic Charities division managing the project emailed me yesterday that a person named ‘Andrea Clark’ had been assigned to us.”

He was pronouncing it wrong, Ahn-DRAY-ah.

She corrected him, “Andrea.” ANN-dree-uh.

“I thought it was amusing because you had mentioned that Clark was a very common name,” he said, “that there was a university and shoes and department store, and other things also named Clark. So, I thought that the person coming must be yet another Clark. It did cross my mind that they might be a cousin or distant relative of yours, but I assumed the person would be male.”

“I can’t believe you thought I was a guy.”

He frowned. “Well, there’s the name, Andrea.”

“There you go again, mispronouncing it. I thought it was weird the way you said it when we were in Paris when you were talking about your cousin. I’ve never heard anybody pronounce it that way, Ahn-DRAY-ah. Who even says that?”

He looked up at her, his eyebrows raised in exasperation. “That’s how you pronounce Andrea. I’ve never heard anyone say it the way that you do, ANN-Dree-uh. Andrea is a boy’s name.”

“Andrea is a girl’s name. It’s always been a girl’s name. It’s how you get Ann, which is a girl’s name.”

“Andrea is one of the most common name for boys in Italy. It’s more common than Marco or Leonardo. My cousin’s name is Andrea Casiraghi, and I assure you, he’s male. Every Andrea I’ve ever known has been a male. Why would I think it was different now?”

“I can’t help the fact that your cousin’s parents gave him a girl’s name.”

“It’s not. Andrea is a male name.”

“Well, I assure you I’m not a male.”

“I’m well aware of that.”

“I should say you are. Speaking of which, why are you wearing a Roman Catholic priest’s shirt and people are calling you father? Are you impersonating a priest? That has to be a crime or something. This is weird.”

He flipped his hand in the air toward the door. “As Sister Mariam said, I’ve been ordained as a deacon, not a priest, so I am called Deacon Father Maxence. I have a vocation to be a priest but have not been ordained as one yet.”

After being a nurse in an inner-city hospital for years, Dree had a finely tuned bullshit detector. “Deacons are supposed to be either married or celibate.”

He shrugged. “Not yet.”

“Do you mean to tell me that you are waiting for God to grant you the ability to keep your pants on? It doesn’t work like that.”

He bit his lip, his white, even teeth pressing his full lower lip in a way that Dree had done just two days before.

And wanted to do again.

No. He was a priest.

Or close enough.

And she was detecting some mighty large bullshit.

She said, “Don’t you have to go to confession and enumerate your sins and say penance like the rest of us do, or do deacons get a free pass?”

“Deacons do not get a free pass. I’ve had to do the rite of reconciliation twice for our time together in Paris.”

“Yeah, I’ll bet you did.” Something rather stupid in her felt pride at that. “You should’ve told me you were a deacon and supposed to be celibate.”

One side of Maxence’s mouth rose, and the depths of his dark eyes sparkled with mischief. “I’m rather glad I didn’t.” He sighed. “And now I’d better go to confession for that, too.”

Dree snorted at him. “Having some impure thoughts?”

“You have no idea how impure my thoughts are right now.”

“You’ve got to stop doing that, Augustine. Speaking of which, what is your real name? Is it that Maxence thing or something else?”

“I was baptized Maxence Charles Honoré Grimaldi. Because I have been ordained as a deacon, you can call me Deacon Father Maxence or Father Maxence.”

Her tone sharpened. “‘Yeah, it’d be too suspicious if I called you daddy.”

Rogue by Blair Babylon Blitz & Giveaway

Rogue
Blair Babylon
(Billionaires in Disguise: Maxence, #1)
Publication date: October 20th, 2020
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense

Maxence’s brother was trying to kidnap or kill him, and an organized crime thug wanted to cut off Max’s head and feed it to the sharks for entirely different reasons.
So, when a cute little blonde stood up on a barstool in the middle of the Buddha Bar in Paris and drew the attention of the wrong sort of guys, Maxence swooped in for the rescue. Everything about her appealed to him: her sweetness, her giggliness, and especially the fact that she was in trouble.
That last part made her sugar and catnip to Max.
Luckily, he only had five days before he left Paris and Europe for wherever his global charity job was going to send him this time.
Why not spend it with the funny blonde who insisted he lie to her?
Indeed, if she thought everything he said was a lie, he could confess his sins, unburden his soul, and reveal what he thought he never could.
Five days with her sounded like Heaven, if he could just convince her to stop throwing him out of her hotel room.
***
My life has become a sad country music song, but instead of heading south, I went to Paris.
I was a good girl who had nothing left to lose, literally. My boyfriend had stolen everything.
Everything except a non-refundable plane ticket to Paris, which was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime where that deadbeat was going to propose at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
So, I got on the plane without him.
After all that, it was understandable that when I started drinking at the Buddha Bar, things got a little out of hand.
Luckily, a man intervened. He was so ripped that I could see every thick muscle of his abs, obliques, chest, and arms through the tight tee shirt he was wearing. He towered over the guys who were bothering me, and they backed off.
I took him back to my hotel because I was full of drunken, bad decisions that night.
The last thing I needed was a man who wanted to save me when I was trying to do all the wrong things.

BOOK TRAILER:

EXCERPT:

When the man had arrived a few minutes earlier, Dree had noticed him as soon as he’d touched the bar, a few people away from where she’d been sitting. She was pretty sure half the people in the Buddha Bar had watched him cross the room and order a drink before they broke his spell and went back to their own, now-troubled conversations, but they were still sneaking glances at him.

The tall man had smiled easily while he ordered a drink, his gaze serene while he surveyed the crowd. He was really tall, too. His head stuck up above everyone else’s like they were a black-and-blond ocean and he was swimming with his head held high out of the waves, lest he soaks his dark, curling hair that swayed over his forehead and neck. He looked like he was a white guy with a tan, or he might be olive-skinned, like from somewhere near the Mediterranean Sea. Something about him made her feel like a fish drawn to an irresistible lure.

When he twisted, turning toward Dree, his white tee shirt pulled taut over his broad, muscular chest and shoulders. The pristine cotton clung to the rounds of his massive pectorals, the ripples of his abdominal muscles, and his obliques that cut diagonal slices from his ribs to the waistband of his trousers.

Oh, somebody worked out.

Dree had to respect the time in the gym, even though she did not go to the gym nearly as much as he obviously did.

Or ever, really. The hospital where she worked had a gym, and she had been meaning to start going there for three years.

The man’s dark dress pants contrasted oddly with his plain white tee, which looked like it might be an undershirt. If it had clung to his skin any more tightly, she would have thought he had just won a wet-tee-shirt contest. She could see every one of his eight-pack of abdominal muscles, even those top ones nestled under his pecs.

Just wow.

When Dree leaned back to observe the guy’s backside, his legs were long and thick with muscle.

Between his incongruous clothes, tousled black curls, and sleepy blinks, the guy looked like he’d left his suit jacket, shirt, and tie on someone’s bedroom floor and sauntered into the bar for a drink.

That man could throw his clothes on Déchirée Dree’s floor anytime.

She was so drunk. This was not like her, but tonight, anything seemed possible. Everything seemed possible.

She wanted to touch him. The tequila shots she’d sucked down made her body feel languorous and heavy, and she wanted a tall, strong, sexy man to touch her, drive her backward with the warmth of his male body, and move above her and inside her with slow, sinuous thrusts, his faint masculine musk surrounding her and driving her out of her mind.

The deliberate way that man lifted his drink to his mouth—when he touched the highball glass to his full, lower lip before he tilted it, the liquid flowed in, and he swallowed—made Dree think he would be incredible in bed, that he’d take his time, that he’d know what he was doing to her.

The inside of her mouth watered like she wanted to lick him.

And he was still staring back at her, his dark eyes serious and almost wary.

He took the glass away from his mouth like he was stripping off his shirt for her to see his naked flesh.

Dree was leaning so far toward him that she nearly fell off her chair.

A new guy inserted himself into her view, jamming himself into the narrow space between Dree and the petite, judgy woman sitting next to her.

Dree looked up.

The new guy’s red silk shirt was unbuttoned to his waist, exposing a thatch of black chest hair. “Bonsoir.”

When an actual princewho has a Secret Service, an army, and real spiesis hunting you down, you run, and you hide IN A FARAWAY LAND.
EXCERPT:
Princess Flicka von Hannover spun through the casino, taking orders and delivering drinks.
Bastien the Swiss guy, again. He ordered a Weizenbier, as he alternated those with his top-shelf martinis, and Flicka typed it into her screen.
Just as she was getting ready to wink at him and flounce off to her next ten-second interaction, Bastien glanced over her shoulder. His face stilled, and he didn’t move.
She looked behind herself.
Six men threaded through the crowd toward them. All wore dark suits. All were looking intently in her direction. The closest was on the other side of a blackjack table and rounding it fast.
Flicka ran.
Her tray crashed to the floor behind her.
People hollered at the spill and noise.
Dieter was at the table ahead of her, and she sprinted toward him.
He looked up and was already sliding off the barstool seat as she got to him. He grabbed her arm as she passed, pushing her ahead of him, and they ran for the kitchen doors at the back as they had planned.
Flicka risked a quick glance back.
All of the black-suited men were chasing them, but they weren’t dodging through the crowd as quickly as she and Dieter were.
They crashed through the swinging door and pounded down a hallway toward a door that led to another back hallway.
When they reached it, Flicka slammed her palms against the crash bar, but it didn’t budge.
She hit it again. Nothing. “It’s locked.”

In Shining Armor by Blair Babylon Blitz & Giveaway

In Shining Armor
Blair Babylon
(Runaway Princess: Flicka, #2)
Publication date: May 8th 2018
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
Flicka won’t allow herself to be terrified.
She’s on the run from her cheating, soon-to-be ex-husband Prince Pierre and his Secret Service, and she doesn’t have a passport, credit cards, or money. She needs to get to Paris to talk to her lawyers about divorcing that bastard.
The only thing standing between her and the cheating prince is Dieter Schwarz, her bodyguard, her protector, and her ex-lover. He’s six feet, four inches of sarcasm, black humor, and rock-hard muscle. A former Swiss mercenary, now he owns and operates Rogue Security—a band of former special operations soldiers, SEALs, hackers, and spies—which will take any dirty covert operation for the right price.
But her ex’s Secret Service is tracking her, and even Dieter and the Rogues might not be able to keep her safe from her ex.
And once again, she’s falling in love with Dieter, which might be the most dangerous thing of all.
EXCERPT:
Specialist Dieter Leo Schwarz, as he calls himself, is sitting in a hardback chair, facing you. The black pants with large pockets he wears bring to mind the blank uniform of a mercenary, or at least a military unit that will deny it’s associated with any nation. His powerful arms are bare below the short sleeves of his black tee shirt, and he’s leaning to brace his forearms on his thighs and clasp his hands between his knees. It’s a supplicant’s position, but you get the feeling that what he wants, you can’t give him.
He begins, “Have you ever heard the story of the Frog Prince?”
His next breath is a deep one, in through his nose, and anger sparks in his gray eyes. The sinews in his neck stand out like he might leap to his feet and close the gap between you, and you wonder if you will survive this interview.
His weapons—guns and knives and a bladed thing you don’t recognize—are piled on a table by his side but within his reach.
He says, “First, there was an evil sorcerer. There’s always a powerful bad guy in these stories. And there was a prince. Maybe he was a handsome prince back then, before the world scarred and coarsened him.”
Dieter rubs the thick skin over his knuckles and one cord of scar tissue that runs up his arm to his black tee shirt. You wonder whether he’s killed people with those strong, scarred hands.

Once Upon A Time by Blair Babylon Blitz & Giveaway

Once Upon A Time
Blair Babylon
Publication date: April 3rd 2018
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense
When a real princess falls in love with a man who is definitely not a prince, a royal fairy tale turns dangerous.
ONCE UPON A TIME, there was a beautiful princess, Flicka von Hannover, who lived an enchanted life. She jetted around Europe staging charity events with friends, had married a handsome prince in the most spectacular royal wedding of the 21st century, and should have lived happily ever after.
But then she found the handsome prince in bed with a duchess. And then a coffee shop barista. And then her own goddamn secretary.
Finally, the beautiful princess had had enough of the cheating prince, and she ran away.
Once she had stepped out of the royal fairy tale, life became grayer, grittier, and rougher. The prince didn’t like that she had left and sent henchmen to take her back to the castle. Her worried royal brother sent people to look for her, too.
But the princess didn’t want to be found. The princess got a job as a waitress in a diner in New York City and made her own way in the world. Even cut off from everyone she knew, she was more resourceful than she had thought she might be. She did okay. From hiding, she sent legal separation papers and then divorce documents, but the prince wouldn’t sign them. He said he wouldn’t let her go. Even in these modern times, the prince could lock the princess up in a dungeon of legal forms and provisions that she wouldn’t be able to break out of. The prince wanted his princess back because he couldn’t take his throne without her.
Until a man walked into her diner one day, one who was frankly not a handsome prince.
He was the last man on Earth the princess should have fallen in love with.
EXCERPT:
The long hotel hallway, lined with doors, stretched in front of Flicka von Hannover as she ran as hard as she could.
Her ankles wobbled in her gilded, stiletto sandals every time her feet thudded on the carpeting. Her slim, crystal-encrusted skirt was bunched around her thighs so she could stretch her long legs. Her purse dangled from her wrist and bounced against her thigh with each stride.
Just a few more doors.
—432, 434, 436—
If she could reach room 460, she had a chance.
She glanced behind her, risking a stumble as she sprinted.
Doors studded the silent hallway behind her. Shimmering sconces threw dim light over the grand hotel’s gold carpeting, and black night pressed against the windows. She could still taste the metallic tinge of blood in her mouth.
No other hotel guests were standing around in the hallways at four in the morning.
—442, 444, 446—
When she had escaped from her own suite minutes before, the Secret Service men, armed with handguns and large knives, had been chasing her. Flicka had leaped into the closing elevator, rolling on the floor and slamming her shoulder against the back wall. It had been a stroke of luck that the elevator was at the penthouse and the doors had been closing just as she had run. That little bit of luck had allowed her to make it this far.
At the fourth floor, she had pushed all the buttons to send the elevator lower into the hotel, hoping to confuse her pursuers.
—450, 452, 454—
Flicka ran harder, trying to make it.
She looked back again.
The hallway behind her was still empty. Her husband’s Secret Service men hadn’t expected her to be able to sprint so quickly in high-heeled shoes and a slim ball gown, but princesses are accustomed to wearing evening dress. She could probably rappel down a cliff face in petticoats and pumps.
Flicka von Hannover was a real, modern princess, not a fairy-tale one, and she had run for her life more than once.
The Secret Service men must have made for the stairwells, splitting up to search each floor for her, planning to communicate her position to each other for reinforcements. That’s how she would have orchestrated the search. They would come thundering out of the stairwells at each end of the hallway at any moment and see her racing through the hotel with her pale pink dress hiked up around her hips and a diamond tiara glittering in her blond hair.
Room 460.
Flicka pounded on the door and held her hand against the wood, willing it to open right now.

They tell mothers like me, a woman whose baby has died, that a new pregnancy will bring a rainbow baby. You know, the beauty after the storm. What they don’t say is how hard it’s going to be. How scary. How emotional. That at the lowest point, I will completely give up hope. I do have a saving grace. Several, in fact. The ones who bring you Kleenex and vodka. But I also have you. Tens of thousands of you who read my story and have cheered me on, waiting for me and Gavin to have a healthy baby. It helps me, knowing you’re out there, waiting, hoping. Some of you have lost babies yourselves. You know what I’m about to endure. So it’s time for the happiest happy ending of all. What better time than at Christmas? (Don’t forget your tissues. And maybe the vodka too.) Christmas Babies by Blair Babylon Reveal

Santa Baby
Blair Babylon
Publication date: November 7th 2017
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Peyton Cabot hates his life: being a rock star, performing for screaming crowds, being interviewed for magazines’ hottest musician of the year articles, winning awards, and banking loads of money. Yeah it sucks to be him. After every show, Peyton tags along to supper with one of the couples in the band, a pathetic third wheel. Sometimes he goes down to the hotel bar to try to hook up with a woman who is traveling for business, usually to strike out because they’re not looking to hang out with a famous twenty-something blond-haired, green-eyed hottie. Every night, he sleeps in a different hotel bed, alone. Except on those nights when Peyton picks up the phone to call one particular woman, one who understands him like no one else, but now she won’t answer his calls. When Peyton goes to find her, he gets a Christmas surprise that changes everything.

Baby Me
Lacey Silks
Publication date: November 28th 2017
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Falling in love with Cameron Madden was the easy part.
Staying in love with him was even easier.
Making him believe in love… well, it looks like that will take time, especially since we’ve just moved to a new town somewhere in the Colorado Mountains.
See, we’re hiding out and people keep butting in.
This place was supposed to feel like a luxurious getaway. It was supposed to be safe and friendly: a neighbourhood where everyone minded their own business. Except it’s anything but that and it’s driving me crazy.
And what’s worse than Kate Black using her detective skills to police a new town? A Kate Black who’s hormonal and doesn’t know why.
Note: Baby Me is a Sin With Me novella. It can be read as a standalone, or following Sin With Me. Contains spoilers to Sin With Me.

Forever Christmas
Deanna Roy
Publication date: December 12th 2017
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

They tell mothers like me, a woman whose baby has died, that a new pregnancy will bring a rainbow baby. You know, the beauty after the storm. What they don’t say is how hard it’s going to be. How scary. How emotional. That at the lowest point, I will completely give up hope. I do have a saving grace. Several, in fact. Gavin, my hot, sex-on-the-kitchen-counter, loves-me-on-my-bad-days husband. He’s been with me since the beginning. And I have Jenny and Tina, girlfriends I met along the way. They’re the good ones. And maybe the vodka too.) Forever Christmas can be read as a standalone, but if this is your first introduction to the Forever novels, I recommend reading Forever Innocent to understand their backstory.
