SYNOPSIS

Crying into an iced coffee in front of a stranger isn’t high on anyone’s priority list but …

Gracen Briggs has history in this valley—deep roots, dead dreams, and an ex whose smiling face she sees plastered all over town, every single day.

Wonderful, right?

Malachi Anders left things unfinished here, too. All his trouble and traumas … God knows he already spent too much time trying to leave it behind.

He never wanted to come back.

She can’t find a way out.

Welcome to the valley.

It’s a long road home.

Somewhere along the foggy Acadian Peninsula of northern New Brunswick sits a small valley town with more than one secret being whispered up and down its sleepy streets. These Valley Days features standalone couples, and every book brings someone—new or old—back home where they belong. With a HEA, of course.

I am not sure how I feel about this one, I have mixed feelings because I didn't love it but, I didn't hate it either. I will say that I had a hard time getting into the book at first but, after that, it was smooth sailing. And that right there is the crux of my mixed feelings, the story and the characters of the story that normally draw me right in and have me falling in love with Ms. Kris's characters right from the onset of the story, that did not happen for me. We can say we liked the characters well enough, but, I can't say we fell in love with any of them. I loved how independent Gracen and Delaney were and how in sheer determination and hard work they did the unthinkable at such a young age a defied the odds and made something of their selves. Love seeing strong independent woman in a story and how they defeated the odds.

We can say we were rooting for Malachi and Gracen to have more than a few enjoyable nights together, early on you could see how perfect they could be together. Gracen deserved happiness.Malachi seemed like a bit of a lost soul. We loved the Malachi was a bit of a mystery and had that bad boy vibe about him.

Overall, the story piqued our interest as we believe something sinister is going on in that small town. There are so many unanswered questions, and we have a feeling we know who is behind the mysterious things happening in this sleepy town and why Delaney and Gracen are the targets, or is it Malachi? Regardless of my feelings being mixed, we did love the ending, and we are glad Malachi did not let us down, we can say he even surprised us. The story left you wanting more, and we are looking forward to getting more answers next time around.

SYNOPSIS

The universe isn’t done with Vaslav Pashkov just yet …

Perhaps marrying a man whose secrets weren’t entirely revealed wasn’t the smartest choice of Vera Avdonin’s life, but her new husband makes the decision hard to regret.

Even when it brings agony.

Yet, not even wedded bliss and love is enough to keep Vera from peeling back the remaining layers of Vaslav’s past and truth—and there are always consequences for what she might find.

The price of loving a man like this one is high.

*

The Breath Before Forever is the final Vaslav/Vera book in The Beast of Moscow saga and should not be read as a standalone. Read after books 1, 2, and 3. TW: Pregnancy Loss.

We have to say that we really enjoyed Vas and Vera's story. We loved being on their journey, such an odd couple yet meant for one another. This couple's chemistry off the charts and their coupling hot as all get out.
We loved the characters in this series and this entire story, some more than others. We loved that Vas got some kind of closure when it came to his mom. Also loved the fact that Vera's parents were a good part of their journey to happiness and marriage.
The dark and dangerous Vas grew on us throughout the series, and we ended up loving him, but, Vera was a character you fell head over heals in love with every turn of the page.
The story took a few twists and turns, had some ups and downs and more than a few surprises but, what we loved most of all that this Beast found someone to love him, a woman who was pure sunshine with such a huge and loving heart. As much as we loved their ending, we thought it would have been a bit more to get the heart pumping but, it ended with an unexpected ending which came as a surprise and left off where we just might see more of this couple pop up again in the near future.

SYNOPSIS

Kidnapping one’s future father-in-law is par for the course for a man like Vaslav Pashkov. Even if done with the best of intentions. But ensuring a safe arrival, and departure, of Vera’s father is simply one loose end of many for Vaslav to tie up. And his timeline to finish pertinent business just tightened up. Now, there’s a wedding to plan. Didn’t you hear? The beast is getting married. * The Beauty Who Loved Him is book 3 in The Beast of Moscow saga. While it does end with a HFN, there is one more book to finish out the couple. TBWLH should only be read after book 1 and 2.

Another enjoyable read in this ongoing saga. This story focused on learning more about both Vaslav and Vera and their intimate lives. We loved the emotion brought forth between Vera and her father, they had unfinished business. Vera's father is not a man to show vulnerability, but, the love he had for his daughter was worth it to bridge the gap between them. We loved the pride her father saw in her and also learned she was the same little girl who left him years all those years ago, just more spicy and a fire breathing dragon when she needed to be. We also saw Vaslav and Vera's father worked on a relationship of sorts as well but, Vaslav had a funny way of forging that one.
Vaslav still dark and dangerous as ever, we learned a bit more of his childhood and about his relationships and what drove the man to do the things he did. We learned the why of the migraines and headaches. Vera is Vaslav match in every way and a balm to his soul we love how different he was with her to a certain extent without giving up his control but, we will always have a kitten with claws when it comes to his women, and you could tell he secretly loved her fire and passion, and he absolutely adored her.
Overall, it was an in depth read that made you connect with the characters even more. You got more insight into Vaslav in what makes the man tic. Vera is such a great character that we absolutely love she is a treasure to read about, and she makes us laugh, and we love her fire and spirit. We were hoping for the end to their story but, it seems there is one more chapter to see if this couple reaches their happily ever afters. I am hoping for several surprises next time around and can't wait.
