Title: Waiting For Aegina (The Gift Saga, #2)
Author: Effie Kammenou
Genre: Womens Fiction/ Contemporary Romance

Book Two in The Gift Saga: The continuation of Evanthia’s Gift …
*Read as a standalone or as part of the trilogy
In 1961, five little girls moved into a suburban neighborhood and became inseparable, lifelong friends. They called themselves the ‘Honey Hill Girls,’ named after the street on which they lived. As teenagers they shared one another’s ambitions and dreams, secrets and heartaches. Now, more than thirty years later, they remain devoted and loyal, supporting each other through triumphs and sorrows.
Evanthia's Gift follows the life of Sophia Giannakos. In Waiting for Aegina the saga continues from the perspectives of Sophia and her friends as the story drifts back and forth in time, filling in the gaps as the women grow to adulthood.
Naive teenage ideals are later challenged by harsh realities, as each of their lives takes unexpected turns. Now nearing their fiftieth year, Sophia, Demi, Amy, Mindy and Donna stand together through life-altering obstacles while they try to regain the lighthearted optimism of their youth.

Audio Book Blitz & Giveaway Evanthia's Gift By Effie Kammenou

Title: Evanthia's Gift (The Gift Saga, #1)
Author: Effie Kammenou
Genre: Womens Fiction/ Contemporary Romance

Sophia Giannakos will settle for nothing less than the rare love her parents share. At a tender and impressionable age, she has found her soul mate in Dean, the boy she has known her whole life -- until secrets and deceptions pull them apart. No stranger to heartache, Anastacia, Sophia's mother, attempts to comfort her, without revealing ugly family truths that could haunt her daughter's future.
In the year 1956, Anastacia, a former NYU student, finds herself in the challenging role of a single parent. Left with emotional wounds from a bad marriage, she is reluctant to trust and resists her growing feelings for Alexandros, an old acquaintance. But his persistence and unconditional love for Ana and her child is eventually rewarded and his love is returned. In a misguided, but well-intentioned effort to protect the ones they love, both Ana and Alex keep secrets -- ones that could threaten the delicate balance of their family.
The story continues in the 1970's, as their daughter attempts to negotiate between two cultures. Greek-American teenagers, Sophia and Dean, have shared a special connection since childhood. Although their desire for one another is undeniable, Dean resists her, rebelling against the pressure his father places on him to uphold his Greek heritage. When he can no longer fight his feelings, Dean asks Sophia to conceal their love. She hesitantly complies, until it becomes too much for her. Like her mother, Sophia loves with every fiber of her soul, leaving her shattered when Dean pulls away from his family, culture and ultimately his love for her, leaving her no choice but to find a life different than the one she'd hoped for.
Evanthia's Gift is a multigenerational love story spanning fifty years and across two continents, chronicling the lives that unify two families.

Daughters of Zeus Series by Kaitlin Bevis Audio Book Blitz

Persephone
Daughters of Zeus Book #1
By- Kaitlin Bevis
Genre-YA Paranormal

There are worse things than death, worse people too.

The "talk" was bad enough, but how many teens get told that they're a goddess? When her mom tells her, Persephone is sure her mother has lost her mind. It isn't until Boreas, the god of winter, tries to abduct her that she realizes her mother was telling the truth. Hades rescues her, and in order to safely bring Persephone to the Underworld he marks her as his bride. But Boreas will stop at nothing to get Persephone. Despite her growing feelings for Hades, Persephone wants to return to the living realm. Persephone must find a way to defeat Boreas and reclaim her life.

Our Review-Tonya

Well any of you who follow my blog know that I am a huge fan of Greek and Norse mythology so I jumped all over reading this book. And I have to say I love being able to see Persephone as a 16 year old teenager who doesn’t even know she is a goddess. Living in the real world among us humans, but feeling like something is very wrong with her. The constant feeling of being watched and strange things happening, frost creeping up on paper, and huge gusts of winds blowing your car off a road. Yeah that would kind of weird me out to.
And who would have thought Hades was good looking. Wow a new side to him. And wait a kiss is all it takes to become the bride of Hades. WOW again a nice little twist in the story I really like it. I love how the author really spent time with the details of the underworld, the different areas, what goes on in each one, not leaving out the river Styx and Chiron and all those that are down there. Reapers included oh got to love those reapers.
I absolutely loved this book. Persephone wow that girl even after everything she goes through, with Boreas coming for her, not knowing she was a goddess, being attacked by nasty souls, and having her entire life and world turned upside down she still has spunk and fire. I loved this character and think the author did a fabulous job with her and I love how she gets under Hades skin.
And Hades wowsers I guess if you have to get stuck in the underworld then this Hades would be the one you hoped was the ruler. Good looking and a fair and just ruler. He has a hard time with Persephone at first but wow does he really turn. Subtle changes at first but eventually you see it and so does everyone else.
I loved Cassandra that girl has spunk she was so funny and such a great character. And Charon wow who knew the man who came to collect souls from across the river of fire would have a heart at least I think he does. And then there is Thanatos, he and his reapers seem to rub Cassandra the wrong way. Always had me wondering. He seems to rally care for Persephone when he is guarding her. But there is something about him that I wasn’t expecting and now I have to rush to the next book to find out if it is really true.
The characters, the souls, the reapers, the lives of these gods, goddesses, this story the daughters of Zeus series absolutely great. I loved this book off to read “Daughters of the Earth and Sky”.
