This emotional story follows Alex, determined to prove himself without relying on his family's name and money. He is a virgin who has been pining for a man he met online years ago. The story is sweet and emotional with a great cast of characters, making it an enjoyable read. This is a new author to us, and we are enjoying the Made Marian family and their stories.
Judd, the Fire Chief, also longs for the man he met online, and the connection between them was strong, even though they never met. in person. Judd comes off as a bit of an a-hole, strictly following rules and regulations with no room for gray areas. However, he exudes sexy vibes with his panting, melting voice. As they navigate their interactions, they slowly realize the depth of their connection and feelings for each other. The tension between them is palpable, with both men feeling a strong attraction.
The chemistry between Alex and Judd is sexy, hot, and steamy. The witty banter and interactions between the two createhilarious moments that had us laughing throughout the entire story. The characters, especially Alex's meddling family, were great.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cat-and-mouse game and the slow-burning romance between Judd and Alex. It was sweet, romantic, and even though it was supposed to be a no -strings -attached arrangement, it was anything but. We loved them as a couple.
We actually felt bad for Judd when things became more complicated between the couple. We felt that Alex should have considered his feelings as well and understood what it was like for him. We saw a bratty side of Alex that made him come off as childish.
This was a fun read for us, and we loved it. We have never laughed so hard or smiled so much while reading a story before. This has definitely become one of our favorite M/M reads.

This is a new author for us and we have to say be we enjoyed our first read by them, the characters we lovable and easy to fall in love with.

We loved everything about the story; it was fun, engaging, filled with wonderful characters, love, laughter, acceptance, and growth, and the sacrifices one chooses to make in the name of love. Tommy's matchmaking aunt was comical; she made us laugh out loud time and time again.
The bonus epilogue on the author's website provides a heartwarming conclusion to their story.
