Kat Mizera brings a captivating story featuring Rome and Billie and forbidden love. This book is filled with family drama, emotion, love, and making big life decisions for both characters. Despite their age difference and different life stages, their chemistry is undeniable, and as they spend more time together, boundaries blur.
I thoroughly enjoyed this age gap romance. Rome's character drew me in from the start with his willingness to help others and his guarded nature due to past experiences.
Billie is independent, smart, and driven. , but her brother's overprotectiveness sometimes hinders her growth. We love her sass, directness, the whole package, and sometimes we felt that she was fighting harder for her and Rome's relationship than Rome was.
The slow burn and teasing between Billie and Rome were delightful, leading to steamy and satisfying moments once they acknowledged their feelings.
The character growth and development in their relationship were well-crafted and engaging. The ending left me eager for more, especially with the teaser for an upcoming book. Highly recommended for its well-developed characters, engaging drama, and storyline, we are looking forward to hearing about the upcoming spinoff featuring Bodi as the main focus.
