I know this because I took a hard landing, jumping out of a crashing plane on a job that should have been simple, with a woman latched to me with a jimmy rigged harness.
And that was just the beginning of the chaos. With my teammates nowhere in sight, it was way too easy to fall for this woman’s charms. To say we got dirty was a nice way of putting it.
Then the bear attacked and put us in an even more perilous position that I was unequipped to deal with after I decided to sacrifice myself to save the frustratingly beautiful woman.
So, it was no surprise when after all that, I kept in touch with her. She started writing me letters, telling me about the idiot who cheated on her. And I responded in equal kind, complaining about how my mother came for a visit, catching me with a stash of unmentionable magazines.
Did I expect her to fly out to see me? No, but I would be lying if I said she didn’t save my life.
I was pretty sure my mother wanted to send me to Catholic school for adults.
Patrick & Piper's story was a hilarious and engaging read that had us laughing from start to finish. The story picks up on events from the previous book involving Asher and Jade, with those characters moving on to new adventures. Patrick, who used to work for Rafe, is now an OP's operative and has a deep fear of commitment and relationships.
The story kicks off with both Patrick and Piper on the run for different reasons, leading to an intense and action-packed plot filled with explosive chemistry, witty banter, danger, and possessive characters. We were rooting for Piper to change Patrick's views on relationships, as their connection and crazy chemistry made them a perfect match.
As the story delves into Piper and Patrick's evolving relationship, Edu is thrust into the spotlight once again as his past resurfaces, revealing heartbreaking secrets.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this story, from the well-developed characters to the thrilling danger and humor. We couldn't put it down and found ourselves laughing out loud throughout the night. The ending was perfect for this dynamic couple, and they quickly became one of our favorite pairs in the series. We're eagerly anticipating the next adventure in this series.

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
