This story was captivating, filled with suspense, emotion, friendship, fantastic characters, forgiveness, small-town living where everyone knows your business, surprises, heartbreak, second chances, love, and laughter.

Ford and Bree's relationship is complex, with a mix of love and hate stemming from their past. Life changes bring Ford back to his hometown, giving them a chance to start over, or at least mend their fences. Peyton stood out as a character with her clevernes
s, bravery, and sense of humor. She played matchmaker and had a special connection with the older residents of the town. The ongoing mystery from the previous book adds depth to the current tale, with new developments and danger lurking in the town. The question of whether the past is connected to the present keeps the suspense high.


Overall, we enjoyed the intriguing plot, the slow-burning romance between Ford and Bree, the witty banter, and the strong friendships. The story kept us guessing and engaged throughout.
