Before we begin our thoughts with this story I think it is important to read The Fault In Our Forever before diving into this one to get a better understanding of what Keane is going through now as we are introduced to Keane and his Opellia or Philly as he calls her and what they once meant to one another which touches on their story and history. Although this story can be read on its own getting Keane's story beforehand makes the pain and loss more real and rawer as others have had years to process whereas Keane has had to process his loss and pain within weeks if not hours. We enjoyed the story it was heartbreaking as all the characters were dealing with pain and loss, recovering real truths, amending family estrangement, and so forth. Our hearts went out to all the characters Rayne, Julie, and Keane although the stories were different they all had a common bond with the losses they endured. We loved the story it was emotionally raw heartbreaking which felt real we loved its characters who were all loveable. The best part is it was about healing and love forgiveness learning to love oneself moving on working through your pain and your demons and although the work was hard you were able to find love and happiness while gaining a family in the process. You will love the way Julie and Keane open themselves up to one another. It is hard learning their stories and hearing their pain but also seeing a lighter less burdened character who found someone to expose their truths and vulnerabilities to. Overall we loved it and say this story goes straight to the heart of the reader and the ending could not have been more perfect from tragedy came love and finding happiness once again.
