This was an enjoyable read filled with heart emotion, beautiful friendships, and some witty banter thrown into the mix. The story takes you through the faucets of life what it's like being a single parent its responsibilities and trusting someone new into their inner circle.
We love it when one of the side characters like Ivy's daughter Evie steels the show what a little heartmelter she turned out to be. We loved that sweet little girl. Overall we thought the cast of characters in this story was great it took a bit of time to warm up to Ivy at first but, as the story progressed and we got to know the real Ivy and what she has been dealing with things started making sense she was trying to protect herself.
Knox was a sweetheart of a man. We loved how easily the 3 of them meshed so well together and how he became very protective of what he considered his girls in a very short time. Knox surprised us at every turn he was a big softy at heart. Did he carry his demons sure but, he was slowly working through them. Ivy did as well but, hers were more fresh and current.
This reader enjoyed this story and its characters and loved that Ivy & Knox took a leap of faith. They turned out to be perfect for one another. We were so glad that Ivy and Evie had someone in their corner in their time of need.
