I live in the Shadows.

My life has never been my own. Every second of every day was another op—another month away from my family.

The job was a necessity.
I toppled governments.
I hunted down criminals.
I put politicians in their place.

But I always knew there would be a price to pay. I just never thought the threat would be to my family. After all, I kept them at a distance for most of my life.

After years of dedicating my life to service, it’s time to put an end to it all.
Too much was taken from me.
The sacrifice was more than I could bear.

There’s only one way forward, and that’s to take out everyone that’s turned my life to hell.
But in doing so, I might end up losing more than I bargained for.

This isn’t just another op.
The only way to end the suffering is to win.
There’s just one thing I need to remember…

Every victory comes at a cost.

Wow! Just wow! We were blown away by the latest happenings going on at OPS. We have been looking forward to Rafe's book for some time but, honestly, we never could have imagined what the man's motives have been all along shocking, to say the least, but, on the other hand, seeing everything play out before our eyes it all makes so much sense now the desperation, the sacrifice the mystery the suspense that always surrounds him. It was always more than meets the eye kind of thing with Rafe..

After finishing this current tale our hearts are still pounding with excitement, sadness, and the suspense in this one kept you on the seat of your pants the entire time. While we laughed so hard throughout this story we thought we would pee our pants at one point, it also had some heart-wrenching moments. We felt an array of emotions with this one.

This story had bombs dropping all over it secrets upon secrets coming to life. We were introduced to some new characters and as the story progressed we fell even more in love with Raven's character she is one bad--- chick and we have a feeling she and Rae will get along just fine they're so alike.

The ending was explosive and we never saw it coming. The story ends with a bit of a twist and a slight cliffhanger we have an inkling we might be graced a bit more of the Kaumu's presence going forward. There was a lot to unpack in this story but, we loved riding the wave every bit. We are angry and pissed and a bit heartbroken but, we know a little of what is in store next and we can wait for the next adventure.

Cash,

It sucks you have to find out this way, but you know me well enough to know that I never apologize for anything I do. I know you’ve never understood my obsession with The Syndicate and I can’t blame you for hating me for the years where it seemed I was working against you. There was always a bigger purpose. The reason I sent Johnny, Jack, and Jason to you wasn’t because I needed you to look after them. It was because I knew you would need their help when the time came.

That time is now.

I know you’ll want to do everything you can to help me because we’re family. But you can’t do that. There will be some hard decisions for you to make, and Jack will know best what I want. I need you to listen to him and do as he says.

For years, I’ve been systematically taking out The Syndicate, but it’s not for the reasons you would assume. I couldn’t give a rats ass about their criminal activities. The Syndicate first crossed my desk when I was working for the bureau. It made for interesting reading material, but didn’t pique my interest until I came across a grainy picture of a woman with Zavala in Europe. It was one of the few times he’d left his island, and that’s the only reason I took interest in The Syndicate.

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
