Crawling back to this small town was never in hockey star Chase Woodson’s plans.

From hitting hockey pucks in front of thousands to selling urinal pucks at his father’s hardware store, coming back home is his worst nightmare.

But being a (newly) single dad of twin boys means making sacrifices. His boys need stability and his dad needs his help in the store.

Chase and Madison's story was a nice and easy read with a bit of drama, crazy spiteful exes, meddling parents, and about starting over.

Both Madison and Chase have gotten a raw deal when it comes to relationships and marriage so they have returned to their hometown for a safe space to crash and to contemplate what to do going forward as well as to start to heal. Chase's main focus is his twins Cale and Cole.

Madison was a character who made you laugh out loud she was quite the character we looked forward to what she would say next just to make us laugh. She is still raw and vulnerable from her recent breakup and sometimes it messes with her mind and emotions when it comes to her judgment it is the same for Chase and what this couple lacked was communication. We loved Chase though he was a wonderful father all around nice guy and loved how patient he was with his father who doesn't like change.

Overall this was an enjoyable read packed with a bit of drama, love, laughter, heartache, and beautiful friendships. We thought that Cale and Cole stole the show as those twin boys were little heart-breakers already. This story had its ups and downs but, fate seemed to put these two people into one's path once again, and they are finally able to act on those childhood crushes/fantasies. This couple had fierce lust attraction and chemistry and were good for one another but, their insecurites hurt heartache, and pain would take some twists and turns along the way before finding their happily ever afters.
